I haven't even really looked into this at all yet. Took the kids to the range today and we are still cleaning up.
But I can't find a video of Biden making this announcement and I am gathering that the circumstances around this "resignation" are "unusual."
It sure sounds like Biden is in a basement in Delaware being hit with rubber sticks and has his feet in a bucket of water with electrodes attached being shocked until he agrees to retire publicly.
It would have to be him because I don't think he would care if they did it to anyone else.

Democrats have a huge opportunity here, but they need to make this an open process to pick a new nominee. Important to have democracy inside the Democratic Party. This emerging plan to anoint Harris, and then slam her through with a fast vote before the convention is a big mistake for Democrats. She needs to become a winner, which means winning a nomination process. That would give her a lot more strength coming out of the convention.

Well, not that I voted for him--I didn't--Obama was as "qualified" (whatever that means or entails) and certainly as competent a President as most of his predecessors, (not necessarily a glowing comparison), and more so than Trump. Obama, after all, brought the US out of the financial collapse the occurred in the latter part of Bush's second term, and he turned over to Trump a recovered and growing economy--a growth wave Trump coasted on--until COVID crashed it.
