But there are also vast numbers of delicious gourmet edible mushrooms that appear in your area in the summer and fall. To learn more about them first-hand, you might consider taking part in the Northwoods Foray held each September by the Wisconsin Mycological Society in the town of Cable way up in Bayfield County. I've been and it is a very enjoyable and instructive event.
