"A Times investigation found that troops were disorganized, out of position and relied on social media to choose targets. Behind the failure: Israel had no battle plan for a massive Hamas invasion."

"Where Was the Israeli Military?" (NYT).
[A] New York Times investigation found that Israel’s military was undermanned, out of position and so poorly organized that soldiers communicated in impromptu WhatsApp groups and relied on social media posts for targeting information. Commandos rushed into battle armed only for brief combat. Helicopter pilots were ordered to look to news reports and Telegram channels to choose targets.

And perhaps most damning: The Israel Defense Forces did not even have a plan to respond to a large-scale Hamas attack on Israeli soil, according to current and former soldiers and officers. If such a plan existed on a shelf somewhere, the soldiers said, no one had trained on it and nobody followed it. The soldiers that day made it up as they went along....

"And there's plenty of evidence."

Then show it and quit saying only select journalists can see it, because I don't just "believe" anything after I've been lied to - and 40 decapitated babies was a lie.

They need some paragliders.

This celebration of Hamas represents a need on the author’s part to identify with losers.

Identifying with an “underdog” is not the same as a need to identify with losers.

"He is not going to change his mind on this" without evidence.

This is coming from the guy who posted in December an LA Times article from October 9th stating that evidence of mass rapes was not yet conclusively verified.

It’s not name-calling to point out the fatuousness of someone whose fact-finding skills and evidentiary habits sorely don’t measure up to his demand that any facts offered or already out there meet “his” standard, when that standard is already so low.

When he does link, it’s to opinions and appeals to perceived authority, even to the point where a Jewish nuclear physicist’s early off-handed comment on Zionism was promoted above his later assessments. But hey, he was a nuclear physicist. You see the point? Authority apparently is lent on the basis of the guy being Jewish, a very important scientist and at one time throwing out a sloppy comment on Zionism poorly suited to his later thoughts on the matter. But it got beaten over and over like the dead horses that our liberation-movement resident gets obsessed about.

The Israel thing is not about facts for him. It’s about feelings. He believes that Israel is a demonic force for evil that must be smashed in whatever media he can participate in. Responding with facts is important regardless, but emotional appeals borne out of unyielding ignorance must account for whatever emotional problem motivates them. Standing for a need to cast Israel as the new white devil in the world is unacceptable and must unfortunately be denounced vociferously. And to do so effectively requires an attempt to answer the Nietzschean question, “What sort of a person would actually think something so absurd in the first place?”

Crack will never understand Israel unless and until he attempts to understand his own psychological “need” to hate it. And since he stopped talking about that once his comments veered away from personal anecdotes about gangland violence and retribution wars, we’ll continue to do our best to provide the service for him. It ain’t therapy, but someone has to be willing to introspect on this thing - this itchy need - that he no longer will. Projection cannot be answered objectively alone.

Hamas 7th Century Death Cult Fanboy Li'l Crack-y: "Pop psychology is so stupid."

Also Li'l Crack-y: ". It's all too big for me to understand because I'm trapped in a black victim /slave mindset. Only you smart free white people can grasp geopolitics - and how I reason. You know me - through the computer no less - better than I know myself. You think you should reason for me because, left to my own devices, nothing can get through. And there's absolutely nothing racist about thinking like that."

LOL

And he doesn't even realize he's doing it!

Li'l Crack-y STILL has no idea:

- The Jews lived continuously in their ancient homeland for 3,000+ years

- The Arabs only showed up hundreds of years later via conquest/Caliphate creation

- The "arab"/"palestinians" basically owned none of the actual land in what is now Israel (it was all wealthy Ottomans, Egyptians, Syrians and Lebanese) making those "arabs" (actually dudes from beyond the ME that traveled there for work opportunities) nothing more than non-land owning farmworkers)

- The Jews began the laborious process of tossing off the colonizers by purchasing land in their ancestral homeland at above market prices from those wealthy non-resident landowners over the 75+ years (or more). The records of those sales still exist and document this reality.

It was the Jews that founded Tel Aviv in 1909 and built it from the ground up from absolutely nothing but sand dunes. Pictures of that era exist.

And so much more. The evidence for all of this has been shared with resident Hamas suckup Li'l Crack-y, but once you go Full Hamas, there is no coming back.

Yes, Hamas is a arm of Iran and just like the Mullahs should be erased from the face of the Earth, but you guys just go over the same old shit 20 times per thread. But if think you're making any headway with him you're wrong. What is the point??

The population of Hamas apologists and potential recruits has swollen from within the growth of a larger population that lives according to their worldview, American colleges have been taken over by Qatari money and TikTok by the Chinese gov’t. This is not Lawrence of Arabia we’re talking about but brides for ISIS coming of age in Eurabia and now the American left. Information wars and a cultural education that’s at least sharia-curious mean that more lies about ANY Western entity can make their way around the world before the truth can get its pants on.

So as long as Western values will triumph over caliphate values, 20 times per thread is just going to have to be the norm. There are just way too many liars and propagandists and zealots and useful idiots out there willing to lie and smear and manipulate their way into convincing you that ANY part of the non-Muslim world is evil. And that includes what they’re saying about Israel and, increasingly, Europe. (And of course America is also too powerful/influential and we need to bitch about that and whatever).

Civilizational values can be overcome through growing numbers among the enemy mob and comment counts alone. We have no choice. As with Hamas sending enough mortars to jam the Iron Dome system, Western defenses in the culture war will just have to step up the game. Or give in.

But my answer is that anyone polishing the scimitar of informational cyber warfare for the next sultan can jam that sword back up his ass. And I don’t care if it’s innocent little Crack doing the polishing and jamming or anyone else. It’s too widespread to avoid collateral damage now and Westerners willing to make their bed for the mullah have to be willing to not only wake up with his fleas but be exposed for it beforehand when the opportunity for fair warning exists.

One last example - Crack said early on that Israel should probably depopulate itself entirely just to make the whole jihad problem go away. He then got really defensive later when called on it and said it should just be an option. Something to consider.

No, I’m not making any accommodation for the personal issues of a guy who would think like that - especially when he goes on about how evil he think it would have been when allegedly done to all Palestinians. Some things are beyond just being called out factually. There’s a psychology at play here, and Crack is probably just too afraid of Iranian projections of instability to admit that’s what it is.

But I’m not. And I encourage anyone else who loves civilization not to be, either.

Their backwards beliefs don't mean you get to abuse them.

What a shame that beliefs as backward as jihad and shuhadah are so easily given to self-abuse.

Crack: read Jeffrey Gettleman, "Screams Without Words." By the way, many are trying to suppress it, and it was moved off the digital top of fold left corner as I watched.

He's the last real journalist at the NYTimes.
