The WHCD has fallen so low, it is full of Progressive Reality stars. The Joke is that the correspondents (other than Peter Doocy and a few others) think they are journalists, when they are force fed what to report by the state.

I turned to a live feed of the dinner. It happened to be the portion where our "independent" press rose in mass clapping and calling out praise for the grinning puppet and his administration. Nuremberg in miniture, We are doomed.
Absolutely the best joke. Because that is how Don Lemon intended his original observation about Haley being past her prime to land. So Joe should've said "No joke" after.
That is pretty good. Maybe there are some female staffers in the WH who came up with that one. Dems are apparently pressing Dianne Feinstein to quit; many of the same people seem to be supporting senile guy for a second term.

Once the WHCD became about getting the best celebrities to sit at your table, the White House Press began to focus on having coverage that would impress the celebrities so they'd come to the dinner with them. It became this weird feedback loop.
Britneh Grienet was there, at the WHCD. She was traded to Russia for the Merchant of Death arms dealer. In the meantime, Evan Gershkovich was detained. few months ago. One of them. A reporter. And the reporters have made a hashtag for him, but otherwise they come and clap at a dinner for the man who made the deal that encouraged Russia to detain another reporter. Because Biden lets reporters and old men sit in prison in Russia.
Over the hill, and through Ukraine, to Hunter's house he goes.

It did not start with Brandon. But I think they saw how the Trump presidency endangered their program. Under Brandon it is ratchedted up to make it harder to stop. At the cost of being more noticeable, though. Which gets more people uniting against it.

" The pathetic nature of that scene wasn’t lost on everyone, though. Scott Jennings, who offered his critique on CNN of all places, pointed out how pathetic it was for the press to clap along to a president making fun of the fact that they are completely in the tank.
The line that will stick with me is “In a lot of ways this dinner sums up my first two years. I’ll talk for 10 minutes, take zero questions, and cheerfully walk away.” For the journalists in the room, he wasn’t laughing with you, he was laughing at you. The reality is, I think he’s mocking the press. The guy does not take questions, and he’s up there joking about it. And I’m just, and they’re clapping and they’re laughing about it.
Jennings’ commentary was made even more impactful by the fact that the rest of the panelists were drooling over Biden’s speech. They should feel as betrayed and belittled as those who watched the president mock them in person.
But I digress, Jennings hit the nail on the head. Biden was not laughing with all those journalists as they cackled at his badly read jokes (sometimes having to fight the teleprompter to get them out). He was laughing at them. The president sees the press as a subservient class of pawns that exist simply to prop him up amidst his failures."

What's amusing is that Biden was mocking those reporters at the Correspondents' dinner and they did not even notice.

And they did not notice one of his few lucid moments.
With all these people making fun of Carlson getting fired - doesn't your neck get sore punching up at such a high angle? He is, and will remain, far more popular, successful, influential, and secure in his career than any of them. They can't even fathom being able to get fired from a major network and actually being better off. They work for the buggy whip industry of our day.
Biden makes fun of these "journalists" for being toadies, and they laugh along with him. It reminds me of a scene from high school: "Hey pussy, how does that wedgie feel?"
