"In one day [Trump] ended every future opportunity that doesn’t include speaking engagements at the local Proud Boys chapter. And all of us that didn’t have jobs lined up will be perpetually unemployed. I’m so mad and upset. We all look like domestic terrorists now."
Texted Hope Hicks to Ivanka Trump’s chief of staff Julie Radford, quoted in "'This made us all unemployable': Trump White House aides respond to January 6 in angry text exchange" (CNN).

Trump promised to 'drain the swamp' -- it was a direct challenge to a city full of aggressive psychopaths in both major parties. They all teamed up to kill the treat. When they do not perceive an external threat to their power they'll go back to attacking the other side. Those who always stuck to their principles will survive...opportunists will be eaten alive.
Trump is so, so stupid. He walked right into the Dems’ trap and made it worse during the day. That’s why I’m finished with him.
He also should have anticipated that Zuckerberg and the Dems were going to cheat.
How are the Bush people who aren’t shills for the DNC doing?
How about McCain’s people?
Or Romney’s?
Have you seen Hope Hicks? She is not unemployable…
She sounds naive or is being disingenuous. Like you don't know what you're getting into when you get close to Trump? C'mon!
True. But not as unemployable as they would have been if they had been aides for that crazy George Washington guy when he was encouraging all those insurrectionists.
This falls into the category of supermarket tabloids, palace intrigue. Means exactly whatever narrative the writer is weaving.
I have no faith the documents released, represent ALL the committee gathered. The phony committee is still weaving their narrative.
Didn't seem to hurt Sarah Huckabee Sanders or Kayleigh McEnany. Maybe your two workplace affairs has something to do with.
So, Trump loses maybe a billion dollars to be president and this ingrate ...
Are we still flogging this dead horse?
Hope Hicks worked for President Trump, who now is out of that office.
She would have employment difficulties now, even if the January 6 riot had not happened.
Those texts are pretty funny.
Lol. I guess politics is a tough business. The other side takes no quarter. Although, well-known defectors seem to be able to enjoy making money by changing sides just fine (plenty of never Trumpers out there no?) Seems she took that route. Anyway, there’s always Onlyfans?
There is little I hate more than how working for political candidates and parties has become a 'career'.
This says a lot more about ideological capture of America's institutions and corporations than it does about Trump or the Jan 6th demonstrations at the Capitol.
Typical...guilt by association sucks. Nobody ever said life was fair. But this is a perfect example of all will be punished when the preferred narrative rules the day in DC. Welcome to distopia.
Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump…
They keep holding on to their yesterdaze…
Isn't Hope Hicks the one who infected the Trump family with covid, almost killing the president?
1) Just working for the Trump White House diminished her chances at a job before 1/6.
2) Liz Cheney managed to make herself very employable. Turn on everyone and everything she used to represent and many will hire her. Looks like Hicks is catching on.
Its understandable she would react this way in the 'body guard of lies' that arose out of this event. But she should have known better because of all the other accusations aimed at her boss,
What an easily duped drama queen. You accepted the job he offered. I doubt it came with a promise of future employment in the Swamp.
There’s Deep State and then there’s Shallow State.
Join the other side. They seem to have a substantial tolerance for that sort of thing.
One of Trump's biggest issues, if not thee biggest, the one that drew working and middle class voters of both parties and all races to cross over and vote for him, was the export of American jobs overseas that had been going on for decades. Another was unchecked illegal immigration.
Both these policies of the globalist professional managerial class left so many Americans unemployed and under-employed. The human cost of these policies to American families is incalculable.
Was Trump supposed to say, "Sorry all you millions of Americans who supported me. I have to worry about Hope and Julie's job prospects now"?
How about we give Hope a nice "Thank you for your service". That's supposed to cover it when a soldier gets his legs blown off, right?
""This made us all unemployable. Like untouchable. God I’m so f***ing mad.""
These people are useless to the world.
If she could "Do" something other than be a political hack in DC she wouldn't have this problem.
It is time for the careers in political life to go away. These people need to work at McDonalds where they belong.

Trump is smarter than you.
Trump is more successful than you.
Trump has accomplished infinitely more in his life than you have.
You are the problem with the Republican party.
Sounds like she must not be very good at her job. If she was, no one would care about January 6, because they'd only care about her performance.
What did she expect? Lay down with dogs, get up with fleas.
I searched around to try to find out what Hope Hicks is doing today. Failed. But I bet she has a high paying job somewhere. Maybe just not the one she had her little heart set on back in 2020. Anyway, in the process, I learned Hope's a millionaire. Working for Trump made her rich, so I think she'll be fine.
Maybe she hoped to go back to Fox News where she worked and made a ton of money between her two WH gigs. And if she's toxic at Fox, what does that tell you about Fox?
I give her some leeway she didnt do a heel turn like farrah griffin but this off broadway show gets tiring
THe elite J6 freakout still amazes me. We all know that if the Left had done the same thing, no one would've cared. Hicks' is probably wrong, since no establishment type would've hired her after working for Trump - J6 or not.
But again, the lack of loyalty to Trump among almost EVERYONE who worked for him is crazy. No graditude for giving them a position, no respect for the office of POTUS, just pure self-interest and deception. The problem is that Trump had a soft-spot for Ivy league types and tried to reach out to the Republican establishment. Supposedly, Javaka was always pushing for these types too. Trump should have hired for Loyalty first, everything 2nd. That's politics. But Trump was a businessman.
My favorite J6 released testimony was Sean Hannity emails, showing he was a dumb RINO hack, just like everyone suspected.
"True. But not as unemployable as they would have been if they had been aides for that crazy George Washington guy when he was encouraging all those insurrectionists."
Well, except George Washington didn't tell his patriots to go home and be peaceful. But, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?
Jan 6 is just another block in the libtard wall of Trump obsession. They would be just as hateful without it.
She’s in her early 30’s and has already earned several million dollars through her connections with the White House and Trump Organization.
I’m not concerned about her eating or paying the rent.
If it's any consolation, it also made Trump unemployable as any future POTUS.
Careerism is 'top-of-mind'?
Isn't Hicks describing her motive right there?
"Do it to Julia, not to me..."
Hope Hicks should do an "Ask Me Anything" at Reddit.
It didn’t work out as well for the Democrats, in terms of cementing power, as the Reichstag Fire did for the Nazis, but it was a successful psy-op, no question.

PERFECT!!!
Hope can marry any billionaire she takes a fancy to.
She'll be OK...
Why did this have to be made public? The members of the January 6 committee are evil people who enjoy hurting other people.
Bimbos gonna bimbo.
In this case "unemployable" mean her fantasy about (insert wonder job/pathway to the stars here) won't be automatically thrust upon her.
In many occupations you must be careful of hitching your wagon to an fast rising individual as your main job asset. If that person fails you lose your mojo and those you rocketed past will not be sending comforting support for your fall.
Oh yeah, "Boo hoo".
Trump may still have a job for you.
Bimbos gonna bimbo
What makes her a bimbo other than being a woman who is critical of Trump? One of the biggest problems is with Trumpism are the Trumpists who say garbage like this. If you think she is an jerk or a traitor, that's one thing, but why "bimbo"? Why is that the word on Trumpists lips? Do better.
Investigate the laptop!
Private conversations documented by CNN...........Yeah, that exchange NEVER happened.
Begely, I always read your posts. I like your perspective on lots of topics.
But in this you fail to see the forest.
Trump never dreamed the govt would have 1000 paid human informants and agents from a dozen or more agencies in the crowd, leading the violence. And if they did, it would all be exposed.
As a politician in DC, of any stripe, You either go with the swamp, or get destroyed. Trump was not stupid, he refused to go along to get along. For that he was destroyed, as will the next person that tries.
Everyone has to note. After 7 years of this, not a single crime or scandal has been identified.
It's not Trump's fault you're not getting hired
hello!

Yup.
A rich old man and she won't have to worry ...

What makes her a bimbo is her ingratitude. Of all the faults a person can have being an ingrate is among the worst.
Me a Trumpist? How droll.
If she isn't a bimbo, why did she go to work for Trump?
Looking for her association with a rich and powerful man to advance herself, and concerned only that her own prospects were dimmed by J6 . . . which, as others have pointed out, was far from the way it turned out.
She'll embed with a another man, or network, don't you worry your pretty head.

I am surprised to see you posting today. I would have thought you'd be in Kentucky helping to prep the big Biden/Schumer/McConnell democrat budget victory party.

Even though actions make many things transparently obvious, its always helpful to get confirmation from the horses mouth.

Weird that Mike Pence isn't described as a bimbo, or maybe Trumpers are exact who everyone has said they are all along. Small dick men.
From wikipedia, so grain of salt;
"Hicks was a teenage model, before following her father into a career in media and communications."
Are any of them employed now? If so these emails are just venting during an emotional moment.
I believe this is where Otter's admonition to Flounder should be quoted.
Here's what I heard about Trump and Pence, discussing hiring Hope Hicks--
MP: Seems like a very nice girl.
DJT: Yeah, and she's so hot!
MP: Uh, mmm, very attractive young lady, sir.
DJT: You got any naked pictures of her?
MP: NO!
DJT: Wanna buy some?
D. D. Driver: "Weird that Mike Pence isn't described as a bimbo, or maybe Trumpers are exact who everyone has said they are all along. Small dick men."
Huh.
"Everyone" says that?
I guess its never to late to begin channeling Howard.
