Sarah Palin, praising Donald Trump.

Sarah Palin says Trump was "the best president that we've ever had." Somehow this leads to her talking about media coverage of her kids and how much Trump "cared about family" and supported "a culture of life and a culture of love." (Is she talking about the same Donald Trump?)

There are 2 Trump's.

One is the real Trump. The one that lead our country to peace in foreign policy and helped the middle and working class actually grow and prosper.

The other is the Trump that exists in the leftist alternate reality.

Ann being a NYT's/WAPO reader lives in this alternate reality. This reality is built on lie after lie after lie.

Ann brought up the topic of bad faith in a previous post. One instance of this is the left being caught in repeated lies and still maintaining that their world views are supported.

Be it Russian Collusion, Kavaaugh rapes, Trump changing room rapes, Trump raping women in 1st class cabins, investigating ukraine lies, J6 protestors killing Brian Sicknick blood libels.

Now we are on to grabbing steering wheels, flinging catsup, and 10 year old girls being forced to go to Indiana.

And seemingly intelligent people like Ann have allowed these repeated lies to push her into a construction of Trump that does not exist.

You will be susceptible to this crap until you are honest with who you are and what you want.

You are just transparent and fake like the leftists that are using these lies until you deal with this.

This is not a bunch of choreographed lies read off a teleprompter.

These are real people being honest and saying what they mean.

The people who consume politics every day like many on this blog prefer a slick costumed approach where people act the right way and say the right things and tribal allegiance is affirmed.

Trump connects to the majority of Americans that don't want politics to dominate their life. They go to work every day and come home and want to hang out with family and friends and watch a football game.

We are tired of the liars and politicians. They are all parasites and they never produce anything except talk and corruption.

Any reasonably honest and intelligent business person who has had a real job will get my vote over any career politician.

What exactly is "transphobia"? How can you tell that a person is not transphobic? Is it transphobic to think that women have vaginas?

You must have linked the wrong Rupar video. There was nothing crude or transphobic about his comments.

I miss on the stump. He's an egotistical guy but entertaining as can be. I support him for his policies but would sure rather hear him speak extemporaneously on subjects across the board than listen to any other politician. One only need to be able to separate the entertainer from the political with seriously good policies.

1. Steve Bannon is the common connection between Trump and Palin.

2. Rupar calls himself a journalist. He’s just another leftist hack. Biological men competing in sports against woman is a serious cultural issue. Trump makes it funny, but the criminal mutilation of young people has got to be stopped. And I’m sure it is happening in Alaska as it is happening in Nebraska.

Trump was not 'the greatest president we've ever had'. I like Trump, but sorry Sarah, not even remotely close. He could've been awesome if he'd not been mercilessly mired and slowed by the deep state (and figured out a way to destroy it while slogging through the mud) and had a second term and realized that he didn't need to tweet about every damn thing, but that didn't happen.

The greatest president we've ever had was and still is Abraham Lincoln, another Republican. There will be another president to equal Lincoln someday but that will require civil war v2.0 and a victory (without one there will be no more presidents).

Also, Aaron Rupar had gay face and looks like he enjoys getting fucked by strangers in public parks. Change my mind.

Anyway, who really cares? If Trump was a leftist, all the people who hate Trump would be singing his praises Unlike the Right, the Left-liberals are results oriented. They decide what position gets them power, and then attack anyone who stands in their way. Since Trump is their biggest obstacle, its non-stop vicious attacks. but hunter Biden and Joe Biden are defended.

Aaron Rupar, Trump has 5 kids, each one successful at their respective stations in life.

Trump was not 'the greatest president we've ever had'. I like Trump, but sorry Sarah, not even remotely close

The problem with Donald Trump is that he doesn't understand how to wield power.

By that I mean he doesn't understand a simple concept like: Do it to them before they do it to you - and buddy you better believe they're going to do it to you.

He also has little strategic smarts. How many of his telephone calls with world leaders were "leaked" to the NY Times (always in the most damning way, of course). At what point do you clear the room so that these leaks stop? Why sit in a bugged White House Oval Office? You gotta surround yourself with people who'd cut off their own arms if you needed a hand and get everybody else out of the White House.

Why in the world did he not fire James Comey on Day 1? For not arresting Hillary Clinton? I mean, come on bro ... wise up. Trump campaigned on the promise to do the job himself ... then inexplicably didn't prosecute her for her crimes. Ship her straight to Gitmo, bro. And hold the trial there.

Trump had the potential to be great. He didn't have the smarts to do it and he was out-maneuvered at every turn. Which is why I don't want him back as President. He was a really crappy president.

ConradBibby said...

I find it sad and distressing that so many people are anti-Trump based on how he talks and other aspects of his personal style. IIRC, Biden even said during one of the debates something like, "Think about how nice it would be not to hear his voice every day." Although I completely understand why a lot of people don't like how Trump presents himself, if the choice is between a "clown" whose policies are good for the country vs. an elegant, dignified-looking president whose woke/marxist policies will lead us the way of Venezuela and Sri Lanka, I'll take the damn clown every day. But, clearly, a lot of dems and some republicans too seem to feel that the crease in the pants should be the decisive factor.

(Of course, in the case of Trump v. Biden, the choice isn't exactly "clown" vs. someone who looks and sounds like Gregory Peck. It's, at worse, "clown" v. doddering old doofus.)

One thing that Trump would have in his second term is a cadre of fervent supporters in the House. Maybe not a majority of the Republican caucus, but significant enough that he and they won’t be able to be ignored. It’s not just in the House - he has built this up with a lot of state officials too but most significantly in the House, and he has done that by supporting candidates, and gotten either nominated or elected. It’s been amazing how well it has worked esp this year.

Paul Ryan had the potential to be the most transformative, and most powerful, Speaker in a century, and he blew it. McCarthy may very well end up Speaker in 2025 when Trump is sworn in, with a GOP senate as well. If McCarthy is smart, he won't follow Ryan's example. Instead, he'll have bills lined up on day 1 to push through every GOP promise in the past forty years. Dismantle the administrative state, restrain executive powers, and lock in deregulation so that it's difficult for the Dems to push everything back to the left.

But a DeSantis-Abbott Presidency will command a substantial majority in Congress for at least two years. Pres. DeSantis will know how to deal with a troublesome Republican majority in Congress. If the 2026 mid-terms go south (they may NOT), DeSantis can roll with the punches. And unlike a Trump 2024 President, he won't be a lame duck.

Ryan played a critical role in sidelining and obstructing any and all congresspersons who wanted to get to the bottom of the democratical/intel/law enforcement coup against Trump. And he did it knowingly, happily, joyfully.

And Ryan has been handsomely rewarded for his efforts and he spends most of his time now attempting to turn Fox News into MSNBC as a member of the Board.

I still think Sarah Palin had a good chance to be president if she ran in 2012.

She was so popular. Arena crowds. What kind of vice president has ever gotten arena crowds?

The left was terrified of her. The media assassinated her. My feeling at the time was that she chose not to run for office because she made an internal vote that her family was more important to her.

The media attacked her family, her husband and her children. It was awful.

I think she made the wrong choice.

Her husband divorced her anyway, in part because they had no privacy anymore, and the media was digging into her sexual past.

I think she would have (easily) defeating Mitt Romney for the nomination. That was a weak nominee. Republicans do great when they nominate a hated right-winger. When they nominate a moderate Republican they typically lose.

The hate campaign against Mitt Romney was ridiculous. "You put your dog on top of your car!" Running against a guy who ate a dog. And he couldn't manage to make a joke about that. Useless. If he called Obama "Mr. Ate-a-Dog" he would have run away with it. He didn't want to be called racist so no attacks on Obama. The spine of a jellyfish.

Saint Croix said...

Trump's willingness to mock other people made him an unusual Republican. You can imagine him attacking the other presidents in history.

Washington: "Slave-owner. And look at his teeth, they're a mess."

Jefferson: "Says we're all equal but he still has slaves!"

Lincoln: "You're so ugly! I feel like his beard is trying to cover up 16 moles. And what is with that hat?"

Roosevelt: "I can run faster than that guy. You ever see him run? Sitting in that chair all the time. He is so lazy! I can run, vote for me!"

I think they're going to run that thing until they run out of Trump-hatred. Which, you know, might be a while.

I think Palin has fine political instincts, by the way.

Somehow this leads to her talking about media coverage of her kids and how much Trump "cared about family" and supported "a culture of life and a culture of love."

These are pro-life code words, by the way. She's talking to pro-lifers. My understanding is that the Republican party has some of those.

I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 -- I voted for the Libertarian pothead -- precisely because I didn't believe him when he said he was pro-life now.

I was too cynical. Trump was easily the most pro-life president we've ever had.

This is ironic because he doesn't care about the issue much at all (in my opinion).

But Trump believes in dancing with the person who took you to the dance.

Seems obvious, right?

So he gave a speech to the Walk of Life. How many of our other alleged pro-life presidents did that? Zero, zero, and zero.

Trump also picked judicial nominees from his list. (I didn't think he would do that).

And, boom, this non-lawyer put together a Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade.

I think it was Palin's sexuality that excited the right and unhinged the left.

She was beautiful when she was young.

Analogous to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Although I doubt very much that AOC could fill stadiums. That stadium thing was amazing.

But sexuality affects people, particularly low-information voters. Plenty of people voted for the Kennedys because of sexuality, in my opinion.

It will be interesting to see if Palin is still super-popular when she is an old woman.

She's aging out of it now.

It's not PC to say this, but sex and sex appeal is for the young. There's a biological reason for that -- reproduction is for the young.

I suspect Palin will win in the House. That would be great.

I would pay money to see a Palin-AOC catfight. You know, for charity? I am reasonably certain Palin would knock the shit out of her. Despite the age differences. Meat-eater vs. vegetarian? That's a walk in the park. First round KO.
