"Just five short years ago Jared and Ivanka were dinner-party royalty here in Manhattan. It’s that kind of place."

"They had money, they had youth, they had celebrity. They were thin. I’m told that their manners were impeccable, so you’d never know that his father was an actual felon and her father a de facto one. Besides, you can’t hold family against someone, can you? We don’t choose how we’re born. But from then on, we do make choices, and we’re accountable for those. Jared and Ivanka are about to be held accountable...."

This desire for revenge is so ugly, but I'll take Bruni's word for it that it's impeccable manners within the context of "dinner-party royalty here in Manhattan." He said "here," so he must know.

Your side won, so why can't you be graceful about it? Will your next column be about how Joe Biden would bring everybody together if only the losing side weren't so intransigent?

Heh! They were Bush's wars first. But, Obama took up the war cudgel with enthusiasm and dispatch! Two war criminals.

One trembles to think what wars Hillary would have gotten us into had she prevailed in 2016.

Have we forgotten the nose-thumbing response to objections poised to the pushing of Amy Coney Barrett's appointment ahead of a presidential election? Elections have consequences!

Besides, Trump has never displayed a talent involving grace: So what's good for the goose . . .

LLR-lefty and Proven Liar Chuck: "No the worst thing is that Drago’s insane fabricated obsessive insulting posts go on and on and on."

For those just tuning in, post election, our very own FakeCon LLR-lefty Chuck, who never met a democrat he didn't adore and defend and promote, has decided now would be a good time to try and execute an online persona "reset" wherein everything he has written, repeatedly, for the last 5 years is now to be discarded since it exposes him for the democrat policy swilling moby hack that he has always been.

Important note: it was this very mendacious behavior that led to his first banning from the blog (in addition to creepily obsessive private messages sent to Althouse herself) and LLR-lefty Chuck would simply prefer that others play along with the fiction that he is a "principled conservative" who simply can't help pointing out how all conservatives are wrong all the time and the entirety of the democratical party left is always right.

Discuss.

The best part of the LLR-lefty Chuck and his mini-me gadfly is their insistence, in between vomiting up "hot take" after "hot take" where they push the most insane lefty conspiracy theories and beliefs, is their hilariously clumsy "but I'm really a principled conservative" ploys.

Its a case study in transparent mendacity.

So transparent one wonders what the real motivating factor is for it.

Alex Jones and a crowd of Trump supporters are in the Georgia State Capitol.

They just walked right past security. Have fun with that.

The Georgia Secretary of State made agreements with Democrat lawyers in a "litigation settlement" to rewrite signature law. Which is obviously against the law. Lin Wood filed a request for emergency injunction last night.

Whether or not you all find a corrupt democrat judge to turn this lawsuit down nobody is buying it.

And the SOS told elections officials to post original counts rather than the recount totals. The Republican cuck traitors in Georgia have crossed the line. Probably the same ones that took kickbacks to buy the Dominion voting machines.

They are all in folks.

Most people in this country believe there are millions more Trump supporters. It is pretty obvious from the election that there just aren't as many democrats willing to vote for a corrupt rapist.

Howard and Chuck are going to get to defend their rapist leader in person soon. Better hope you have all 78 million Biden Voters with you. Better hope they all exist.

Because we don't think they do.

It seems like you can get paid for it though.

"Not for Howard or Chuck or Cook, of course."

How do you know? I am not fixed in disbelieving accusations of vote fraud. Vote fraud is as old as our republic, after all. I am skeptical of how quickly such accusations have been taken up with certainty as truth, just as I remain unconvinced of the wild accusations, believed by many, that Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the 2016 election. (I have no doubt Trump had and has business dealings with the Russians.) I will read the article. It will not by itself, of course, prove Biden's victory was fraudulent, but it might well show how easily such fraud can be perpetrated. The thing is, until it can be proved, those who assert that the vote was stolen are simply farting in the wind.

I'm glad to see Trump lose, but I am equally unhappy Biden won, as they are both lying, crooked, self-serving shits.

Have fun defending this Howard. A corrupt Democrat judge may buy it. But we wont:

"Back in GA, voters were unable to cast machine ballots for a couple of hours in Morgan and Spalding counties after the electronic devices crashed, state officials said. In response to the delays, Superior Court Judge W. Fletcher Sams extended voting until 11 p.m.

The companies “uploaded something last night, which is not normal, and it caused a glitch,” said Marcia Ridley, elections supervisor at Spalding County Board of Elections. Ridley said that a representative from Dominion called her after poll workers began having problems with the equipment Tuesday morning and said the problem was due to an upload to the machines by one of their technicians overnight. Said Ridley,

“That is something that they don’t ever do. I’ve never seen them update anything the day before the election.”

There is a reason for Ridley’s observation. By GA law the machines are supposed to be certified for accurate use by the state before the election day. How was this possible with Dominion uploading data unknown during that night?"

Achilles said...

"Yep. Maricopa County. The contested county where this week, Arizona GOP Chair Rae Chorenky was been forced to resign after failing to sign the required Certificate of Accuracy for the Dominion voting machines."

It is going to be awesome when they start investigating Chorenky's decision making process for purchasing the Dominion election machines.

An addendum to my comment at 4:03 PM:

The idea that the Russians helped Trump steal the 2016 election was first broached by Hillary Clinton, who, I'm sure, told herself that lie to ease the bitter pain and humiliation of her loss to Trump. Trump is the one who first broached the idea this election was stolen or might be stolen--before the vote had even commenced--for, no doubt, similar reasons: to assuage his own feelings of humiliation and bitter disappointment at being a "loser."

No matter what the evidence may show or suggest (or refute), Trump's base will hold to their conviction his rightful victory was stolen just as Clinton's base still hold to their faith in the "Russian Connection."

I'm Not Sure said...

The companies “uploaded something last night, which is not normal, and it caused a glitch,”

Computers don't "glitch". They do as they're told by the programmer. That the results may not be aligned with confirmable real-world data is irrelevant to the fact they were programmed (intentionally or not) to provide those results.

Unless you think the computer is choosing on its own what processes to run and how to run them, I suppose. Do you?

Ha!

The greatest likelihood is something you and Trump's base will never accept: that, as much as you think Trump is the greatest thing since sugared shit, more people in this country hate Trump enough to come out and vote against him.

(I stuck with my practice of 24 years of voting for the Green Party candidate.)

Hillary created the Russia, Russia, Russia! hoax in July 2016 to deflect from her email problems. John Brennan's CIA found out about from their Russian contacts. Obama did nothing to squelch that story, and in fact, did everything he could to fan the Russia, etc. hoax.

Hillary blamed the Russians because she couldn't accept the blame for running such a p*ss poor campaign; she didn't even campaign in Wisconsin despite all the advice to do so.

No, he's not. Despite his other manifold failings, Trump is not alcoholic.

Grant was a strange alcoholic who didn't drink at all for long stretches (basically whenever his wife was around). He had some kind of dipsomania, but the notion that he was drunk often during the war is slander by his many opponents.

Grant drank when he was bored. Julia could control that when she was around. Grant got his drinking reputation when he was on the West Coast and Julia was in St. Louis. He missed her terribly and along with the boredom of garrison life, took to drink. He resigned his commission, under pressure from his superior, and had to borrow money to return to St. Louis. He was a failure in civilian life.

We know Trump could have been charged with crimes because Cohen was charged for criminal conduct in conjunction with Trump. Maybe not convicted. I represented a civilly sued employer where 2 employees also prosecuted. The principal got hung jury, the agent convicted, because more evidence against the active one (plus separate criminal counts uncovered and thrown in to ensure conviction and maybe get him to turn (he didn't)).

I'm Not Sure said...

Being charged is not the same thing as being guilty, you know.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Cohen, to help his newest bestest buddies on the democratical/LLR-left, pled guilty to a non-crime!

The prosecutors, as with the Arthur Andersen case and Gen Flynn cases, made up new case law and completed twisted the language of the relevant statutes in such a way that ANYTHING a candidate does can be construed as being done "for the purpose of influencing an election".

If you are John Kerry and you expend campaign resources to have yourself photographed on your sailboard to make you look young and vigorous, yet the photo was taken during your "vacation" or time off, hey man, that's diverting campaign funds illegally!

Poor readering. If only there were a blogsite where he/she/xe could post where everyone was as dumb as he/she/xe is and/or as disingenuous and malleable as FakeCon LLR-lefty Chuck.

If I might paraphrase a well known song: What a wonderful world that would be.......(an appropriate song given its readering, because one of the lines is "Don't know much about history")

Not to worry.

If Biden gets in, we are looking at a half dozen more wars, including Syria, Yemen and a couple more eastern bloc nations as well.

Not to mention that the ChiComs are already feeling very very good about a Biden victory and have already started to directly threaten the Aussies to ensure they get in line with the new Global Reset, which includes a globally dominant EU, ChiCom-led China, and Iran, with the US reduced to a shell of a piggybank and no more of any of that icky "individualism" stuff that always causes so much trouble.

Yes, yes there is. It is via an add-on called "Kill File" or "Blog comment kill file". It is available for a number of browsers to include Brave. I use it to block specific commenters that are just so out there, racist, disruptive, and/or childish that I can not stand to even just skip by them. When setup and activated, you will see something like:
