Remember when Biden was an anti-vaxxer and called Trump a liar about it, and as soon as the election is over, voila, a 90% effective vaccine, looks like. It wasn’t just the news about Hunter’s laptop that they kept a lid on.
This is one of my favorite times of year in Nebraska when the leaves first come down. Very warm. I hit baseballs outside last week and on Sunday. Lots of fun!
Tim in Vermont: Yep. Pfizer waited until Biden was declared before announcing the vaccine. Suddenly the pandemic problem is over, no more worries. Man, are we being played!!!
Pfizer telegraphed the vaccine timeline the middle of last month. Safety to be reported 3rd week November and efficacy before that. You people are deep in the Kool-Aid.
Biden is promising already that the beatings will continue until morale improves regardless of any successful vaccine. Same guy who called Trump a liar for suggesting that one was possible before the end of the year and The Ho warned that nobody should take any Trump vaccine. Plenty Kool Aide to go around
My grand grandmother used to say for communists: They do not steal, they take your own from you publicly without respecting law.
Stealing is when you want to hide it, but communists do not want to hide themselves. I do not know word in English for "take your own from you publicly without respecting law", but there is a word in my maternal language.
I'll miss Althouse's fine pictures and insight when Biden's ministry of truth shuts down her blog; can't let anything get in the way of national unity, can we?
"Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former FDA commissioner, told CNBC the vaccine could be available in limited use as early as late December and widely available by the third quarter of 2021."
Not sure how that makes Trump a liar, which is what Biden says unless you are assuming that he meant something else than what he actually said.
Bide did his best to sow doubt
“And the question of whether it’s real, when it’s there, that requires enormous transparency. You got to make all of it available to other experts across the nation, so they can look and see. So there’s consensus, this is a safe vaccine.
"Because already you have, what percent is American people saying if the vaccine were there tomorrow, they wouldn’t take it?
New York and California have declared that they will not trust the FDA. I personally know people who said they wouldn’t take it. Trump haters irresponsibly egged on by Biden.
Georgia heads to a recount with Fulton County under state supervision due to irregularities. That's the sort of thing that keeps people from cheating.
Trump wins Georgia (despite the cheating) and Arizona (despite the cheating) and North Carolina (despite the cheating). No audits will be pushed in those states by Democraticals. They know what the audits would reveal. Cheating, of course.
After that we should see Vegas reined in by federal courts. And Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are likely to have a whole slew of illegal activity revealed.
For the first time since Wednesday morning, I sense justice may be served.
The MSM bum's rush to a decision is driven, in part, by their absolute knowledge that the cheating is too obvious. Any longer process and the manifest cheating will be uncovered. They are pushing to stop the revelations of their co-conspirators.
And I haven't watched FOXNews since Monday last week. I only watched an hour a day anyway, so no great loss. They are as dead to me as the NFL.
The bare branches of November, their fallen leaves as dead on the ground as many Americans' faith in fair and honest elections. Democracy in America - July 4, 1776 - November 3, 2020.
After all the news this year it’s astounding how ignorant of epidemiology this man and others still are. Astounding. The peak deaths-per-day count happened on or around April 20 and all the texting and false positives of the current test regimen will not create another peak like that. The epidemic has been on the way out since then. The current tiny spike in deaths will subside like the August spike and the October spikes. To put it mathematically the area under the curve will not ever show an exponential increase again it is in ever-diminishing mode, i.e. a long tail.
Howard said...The pandemic is just getting started. Europe is locking down, we will be next in January.
Howard is expressing DNC propaganda that all the problems we will have over the next four years will be because of Trump, not the incompetence of the Biden/DNC administration.
Trump said that there will be 20 million doses ready as soon as the vaccine is approved, and since they started manufacturing them before approval, figuring to use them or toss them based on the results, I have little reason to doubt it. He also said that there will be 100 million doses by the end of December. Another figure I have no reason to doubt. It looks like California and New York State have tried to throw in extra delays, but I am pretty sure that those regulatory hurdles will disappear now that the ‘risk' of approving the vaccine prior to the election has passed. Joe and the Ho’s skepticism will evaporate as quickly as that of the New York Times.
I intended running 4.8 on a trail that looks much like the one in your photo but I got really lightheaded at about a mile in so I walked out after that to 2.8. It started with my vision acting weird. I don't know for sure what the deal was but I tend to blame everything on thyroid meds now. Maybe it was a one off. I ran the two days before on the road with no issue. My wife said it sounds like inner ear and she gave me a meloxicam (I think).
Pfizer telegraphed the vaccine timeline the middle of last month. Safety to be reported 3rd week November and efficacy before that.
Exactly how the Biden campaign would have wanted it. That means COVID is still very much a live issue for Biden on election day. I won't say there was an intent to help Biden, but the earlier announcement of the timeline doesn't prove that there wasn't.
The pandemic is just getting started. Europe is locking down, we will be next in January.
Trump's fault! You're being too transparent Howard.
Biden is going to have a hard time making CV19 work in his favor. If it goes away too quick Trump's successful efforts will be obvious. If it drags on people won't cooperate with draconian measures. It'll be interesting watching the media spin either way.
The International Churchill Society's conference was also free and online this year. An author I particularly like had a free online class through the Cleveland library.
I wonder if many events forced online this year will continue to be online in the future.
tim in vermont said... "Remember when Biden was an anti-vaxxer and called Trump a liar about it, and as soon as the election is over, voila, a 90% effective vaccine, looks like."
Cycled 30 miles on Saturday, along the coast, walked about 3 miles on the beach yesterday. Great to be outside and away from all this sturm and drang.
I doubt I'll take the vaccine, don't get flu shots either. I'm not opposed to them and have no fear of them, just seems unnecessary.
Joe's got his Covid-19 Task Force named, but he isn't president until later in January so I guess they'll all just be twiddling their thumbs in the meantime. Perhaps they can do so objective analysis to enable informed choices in policy making.
Pfizer telegraphed the vaccine timeline the middle of last month. Safety to be reported 3rd week November and efficacy before that. You people are deep in the Kool-Aid.
And we remember the media and Biden himself telling people not to trust it.
Gruber said that Pfizer and BioNTech had decided in late October that they wanted to drop the 32-case interim analysis. At that time, the companies decided to stop having their lab confirm cases of Covid-19 in the study, instead leaving samples in storage. The FDA was aware of this decision. Discussions between the agency and the companies concluded, and testing began this past Wednesday. When the samples were tested, there were 94 cases of Covid in the trial. The DSMB met on Sunday.
This means that the statistical strength of the result is likely far stronger than was initially expected. It also means that if Pfizer had held to the original plan, the data would likely have been available in October, as its CEO, Albert Bourla, had initially predicted.
Trump has already put the rapid production and distribution of the vaccine in place. Let's hope Biden doesn't fuck it up.
Biden is not going to be president. Neither is Harris. Stop acting like it is fait accompli.
They are not acting like confident people.
Alito ordered them to separate ballots received after the legal voting deadline in Pennsylvania. They did not obey a legal order from the court. They also illegally removed election observers from counting stations.
These two things alone put the Pennsylvania election in a completely different place where the burden of proof is on the Democrats. The legal term Spoliation:
Spoliation. Any erasure, interlineation, or other alteration made to Commercial Paper, such as a check or promissory note, by an individual who is not acting pursuant to the consent of the parties who have an interest in such instrument.. A spoliator of evidence in a legal action is an individual who neglects to produce evidence that is in her possession or control.
They broke the law and that put the election in the category that fraud is assumed at this point and they have to prove it isn't.
Wisconsin and Michigan similarly threw poll observers out illegally. They will have similar issues because those polling stations are now assumed to have committed fraud because they already broke the law.
It will be harder for them to prove the election is legal than it would be for us to prove it was fraudulent.
Since we must wait for a certain number of cases to occur, this data may come earlier or later based on changes in the infection rates.
And then look at this:
At that time, the companies decided to stop having their lab confirm cases of Covid-19 in the study, instead leaving samples in storage. The FDA was aware of this decision. Discussions between the agency and the companies concluded, and testing began this past Wednesday. When the samples were tested, there were 94 cases of Covid in the trial.
SO, is there any "uncertainty that Biden has actually been elected President" that should make any difference in moving forward with the transition?
In what state, essential to the electoral majority, does DJT's proposed legal effort offer any prospect of switching the electoral college vote?
Bear in mind that votes arriving after election day are not essential to the outcome in any state. Further that based on historical experience, the margin in Wisconsin is too wide to be overcome by a recount, as 2016 also shows. Further still that lots of lawsuits have already been brought--and all have failed, except for the one that moved some observers from 10 feet to 6 feet. Further bear in mind that many of the election officials involved are Republican, and that, to a person, they deny that anything illegal or fraudulent has happened on their watch.
So, again, what is the evidence that Biden's victory is subject to doubt any more than DJT's was?
In 2016, Althouse was watching closely to see whether Hillary conceded reasonably promptly and generously. And she was highly skeptical of the Wisconsin recount requested by Jill Stein, and critical of Clinton even for sending lawyers to observe.
So step up, Althouse, show a little neutrality, already.....
Achilles asserts: Churches are going to be teh backbone of the resistance.
You are right but maybe not in the way you might think. If the Equality Act passes, forcing churches to accept the LGBTQ agenda [Joe Biden favors it, saying, churches can't be safe havens for "hate"]. The positive side of this, IMO, is that churches will be separated into those who firmly stand for the Word of God and those who cave to cultural values. This will be interesting.
"Further that based on historical experience, the margin in Wisconsin is too wide to be overcome by a recount, as 2016 also shows.”
That right there is bullshit. Any recount will be undertaken on a completely different basis. There was no huge mail in ballot with safeguards relaxed in 2016, for one thing. Face it, you are letting what you want so badly to be true affect your thinking.
I don’t know why you are so afraid to let the legal process play out. I am sure that you were all for Al Gore to have his day in court. It almost shows a consciousness of guilt that you don’t want this explored. Stacy Abrams still hasn’t conceded, for that matter. She’s a media darling. That’s what it boils down to, who is a media darling, and who isn’t.
Al Gore got until mid-December. Let’s see where this goes. What’s your rush?
I can live with a Trump loss, I can’t live with accepting the results of this election without careful examination given the way the rules where slapped together in such a hurried manner, and all of the new rules seemed to be designed to make fraud easier.
What about simple stuff? Flu shots are out. Certainly if there were to be a flu pandemic, a younger person who has yet to live a complete life ought to get the vaccine or any antiviral drugs. A big challenge is antibiotics for pneumonia or skin and urinary infections. Antibiotics are cheap and largely effective in curing infections. It is really hard for us to say no. Indeed, even people who are sure they don’t want life-extending treatments find it hard to refuse antibiotics. But, as Osler reminds us, unlike the decays associated with chronic conditions, death from these infections is quick and relatively painless. So, no to antibiotics. - Zeke “Death Panels” Emanuel, whom Biden wants to put in charge of his response if he wins.
Wouldn’t it be cheaper and easier then to just let the virus burn out the “dry tinder”? Isn’t all of this crap about social distancing, masks, lockdowns, etc, just an expensive extra step that’s not needed?
mockturtle said...For the record, I won't be taking the vaccine. Nothing to do with politics.
It will be interesting if certain workers are going to be forced to take the vaccine. My wife is a teacher and worries that the shot may become a condition of employment. She will refuse.
The flu shot was a condition of employment when I worked in mental health. After retirement I stopped the yearly shot and have yet to catch the flu. Because I do not deal with the public as much, I am not as vulnerable. The flu will not be as prevalent in the future as people engage in mitigating practices such as masks, hand washing and social awareness (not necessarily distancing).
The reactions to the statistical analysis of the voting are telling. And what they are telling is that the analysis is right - fraud occurred. The three statistical aberrations in the voting are the Benford's Law violations, the over five sigma variation in down balloting profiles, and the lessor aberrations in turnout percentages and vote total comparisons to previous elections.
The first reaction that tells the story is there is no meaningful push back on the mathematics involved. For example, in the Benford's Law violations a meaningful push back would be examples of other violations in non swing states or previous elections and examples that cut the other way showing Trump's or a republican's vote profile violating Benford's Law. The same applies for the down balloting profiles and the turnout models. The mathematics remains unchallenged. The mathematical conclusion remains correct - fraud.
The second reaction is the complete blackout on the reporting of this in the MSM and on social media. We already saw this reaction with Hunter Biden's laptop. The only thing we are missing here is calling Benford's Law a Russian disinformation campaign. There is no doubt that the MSM leans 90%+ democratic and through the last four years has amply demonstrated that they will push any narrative that hurts Trump or helps the democrats. Facebook and Twitter are blocking any link or reference to these analysis. (And several people report that trying to post it produces a claim that it’s blocked for “adult sexual exploitation,”). Since they can't refute it, they intend to bury it. Maybe there ought to be a Fen's law equivalent for 1984 references, but this is right out of 1984.
The third is the obvious rush to proclaim Biden president elect without letting the courts and legislatures examine this. This wasn't the case in Bush vs Gore. I frankly don't trust the court's ability to understand these arguments especially at the Supreme court level. The maze that the mathematical testimony will have to get through is amazing. It looks like Trump's team is focusing on direct events that a non-mathematician can understand, like excluding poll watches, dead voting, software errors, and testimonies of other minor frauds. These are small fish in the fraud ocean compared to the statistical shark gobbling up votes. But this rush is another attempt to ignore the realities of the situation.
I am frankly in despair of future election if this is not nipped in the bud. Democrats are against cleaning up the voter rolls, and heavily in favor of mass vote mailings. The statistics show that these probably helped fraud in this elections. Mass mailings were not a part of previous elections that passed the statistical tests
"Further that based on historical experience, the margin in Wisconsin is too wide to be overcome by a recount, as 2016 also shows.”

Having worked recounts in Wisconsin, I do not see much hope of flipping thousands of votes. Don't get me wrong, the final vote tally will change. Some votes will be disqualified, but 20k? Not without some challenge that would disqualify categories of votes (as opposed onsie twosie ballot challenges).
I have no problem with Trump using every tool available to confirm the propriety of the vote. That's 100% what he should be doing. I just don't think it's realistic to think the overall result will change. Could be wrong.
I also hope that Trump voters accept the result of the court challenges better than the Dems handled Bsuh v. Gore.
" also hope that Trump voters accept the result of the court challenges better than the Dems handled Bsuh v. Gore.”
Why? It energized Democrats for two decades. The fact that canvassers hid their activity from scrutiny is enough to tell me that this election was stolen. It may not be provable, but when people act guilty, it’s usually because they are guilty.
Que sera, sera. I'm not cruelly neutral. I'm rooting for Trump, but whatever the outcome, the blow has been considerably softened by this stock market rally. The Dow's up over one thousand points just today. Generally the market loses points just after Armageddon so the world is not ending.....I'm reading a biography of Lord North. He was the Prime Minister who lost the American colonies. You'd think that would be a career ender, but he muddled along and the good folks in Parliament never thought the worse of him for it. I have just started reading the book, but my guess is that I will learn many useful lessons applicable to the Biden term.
Are you pleased that confidence in the voting process of nearly 50% of the voting population has been destroyed? I'm pretty certain that you are pleased that some significant portion of them will never vote again, believing the process is flawed and corrupt. I used to think people like that were crazy. Now I am not so certain.
We need Trump's lawsuits to see if confidence can be re established.
Some votes will be disqualified, but 20k? Not without some challenge that would disqualify categories of votes (as opposed onsie twosie ballot challenges).
A recanvas to DQ CoA and ineligibles could do it...
Pfizer knew the efficacy of the vaccine before the election
1) pharmabros met with Biden's team in October. 1b) we know Biden, if anything, is completely for sale
2) pharmabros told joe we know the vaccine works, what will you give us to sit on the data until after election.
3) Because of 1b), Joe says, "no medicare for all, no price controls"
4) Pharmabros say, "done deal."
Pfizer CEO can deny it all he wants. He's lying.
It does not take a week to analyze a few dozen cases. You know who caught the 'Rona, you break the code to see if they were on vaccine or placebo. There's no judgments like, gee did that tumor shrink by 25% or by 30% (the definition of a "Partial Response).
The fact that canvassers hid their activity from scrutiny is enough to tell me that this election was stolen.
My hunch is that when all the dust settles, many of these early report will be proven false. I saw one video that purported to show observers being "excluded" from the count room. The problem with the video: it was taken from inside the room and you can clearly see platoons of poll observers and media people observing the count. So while some poll observer we "not let in"--purportedly because of capacity issues, which is not uncommon--there were already numerous observers inside.
From today's Las Vegas Review-Journal: "Who gets counted as a COVID-19 death has been questioned for months, with no formal definition in place nationwide as officials adapt to a new disease’s destructive impact.
Conspiracy theories have swirled around the idea that coronavirus mortality totals are being inflated.
Now, Nevada has released an official definition of what it considers a confirmed COVID-19 death.
As of Oct. 19, the state’s official tally includes anyone who dies from natural causes within 30 days of testing positive for the respiratory disease. As long as there is a recent positive result, the person’s death certificate is not required to specifically list a COVID-19-related term as an underlying cause of death."

The Act may pass (I think doubtful), but after 4 years of thanking God that Hillary Clinton wasn't elected, I now thank God pretty regularly for letting Ruth Baby "shuffle off these mortal coils" in time to get Amy Coney Barrett confirmed. The act is clearly unconstitutional and I'm pretty sure there are now 6 justices that wouldn't hesitate to rule that way.
"I wonder if many events forced online this year will continue to be online in the future."
I won't do online events, unless I have to for work. Being present is engaging; watching on TV isn't.
The best example is an international coffee show that I've gone to before, in person. The fun is in having all kinds of coffee, and all you can drink for the price of admission. This year, they had it online. They tried to sell tickets, but no dice; they ended up making the admission free. I hope they had underwriters, because otherwise the losses must have been painful. I didn't watch.
While this is an extreme case, I also have no interest in virtual concerts, virtual yoga classes, or virtual visits to the Louvre (though I'm bombarded with emails touting them). Even if I were interested, I can get the same thing on YouTube.
Dammit, I did just what I dislike most about blog commentary on this site - which is to reply on a personal level to a troll. Now I understand just how seductive that is. Must remember to never do that again. Need more self control.
I have no problem with Trump bringing as many lawsuits as he can fund. I see no reason to be worried about them, though, from the point of view of election outcome.
I do have a problem with people concluding that the existence of the lawsuits themselves show that there is an actual problem with the outcome. For that you need not just lawsuits, you need evidence. So far, none has been presented, and courts have uniformly said as much, as have Republican elected officials involved in the counts.
This is not a troll's position. We know that Chris Christie, Mitt Romney and Pat Toomey all take the same view. It also ought to be Althouse's view, though she is not brave enough to hold Trump to the same standards she applied to Clinton.
I have very much in mind Trump's assertion in 2016 that he lost the popular vote because of fraud. You'll recall that he set up a bipartisan commission to prove that, and it collapsed because no proof could actually be found.
I also have in mind the most recent iteration of the Hunter Biden story, where Rudy Giuliani was not prepared to subject the relevant source documents to neutral scrutiny. That approach will not work in court.
My understanding of Benford's law violations is (a) that they can sometimes be evidence of election fraud but that (b) considered on their own, they will often yield false positives. So the question would be if there are many witnesses from both parties (as there will be in all the relevant states) who wii testify to the absence of any material fraud at any stage of the process, how far would a Benford's law violation take a judge?
So, same question: what is the actual evidence indicating that the count in any state critical to the electoral college margin (notably, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania) is off by enough to change the outcome? If it exists, and would change the outcome, it is vitally important that it be brought forward. If none can be brought forward, people should stop spewing falsehoods about the theft of the election.
450,000. A real number or just an urban legend. Inquiring minds want to know.

Might be an interesting stat to know.

Pfizer, amazingly (not!) announces a vaccine today.
The Democratic Party conspired with the Chinese Communist Party to unleash a year of violence, destruction and terror on us to bring down President Trump.
I’m 70 years old. These pieces of shit have taken away a year of my life. No live music. My choral groups are probably dead, never to return. My grandkids sat out of school for 7 months and still are not back full time. I’ve been living under house arrest under the orders of the governor. . The evil of this shit cannot be properly stated.

"Link us to some court document that details any sort of actual vote fraud in that connection."
I take it you don't believe the reported fraud. OK. So looking into it wouldn't be a big issue, right? I mean- if it's as obvious as you seem to be saying, it can be sorted out rather quickly, right?
Michigan, a battleground state worth 16 electoral points, was called for Biden on Wednesday by many news outlets. This win surprised some because President Donald J. Trump won the state in 2016.
National GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also spoke at the press conference shedding light on election issues in the key state, saying that 2,000 Republican ballots were marked as Democrat in Oakland County due to a “clerical error” which wrongly gave the race to the Democrat candidate.
Smartmatic created the Dominion software. Smartmatic is run by Lord Mark Malloch Brown who works for George Soros.
Other positions have included vice-chairman of George Soros’s Investment Funds, as well as his Open Society Institute, a Vice-President at the World Bank and the lead international partner at Sawyer Miller, a political consulting firm. Journalist. Lots of software developers start as journalists, don't they ?
Michael K; I don’t care about you, or what you think, or what you like to read for recreation.
Nobody cares about you Chuck.
Nobody is more worthless or represents fewer people than you do.
At least the democrats have more than 100 people in their movement.
You are a part of a group that everyone hates now. You are the most worthless and dishonest person on this forum and it is why you will probably get banned again fairly soon.
There is literally no value to having you here.
Now I will go back to giving you as much thought as you deserve. Others should do likewise while he gets himself banned again.
I just returned from the Safeway, and spice rack was half-empty.
My wife says the hard liquor shelves have been hit pretty hard as well. Of course, the Seahawks have lost two in a row, but I think people are hoarding for Thanksgiving.
Yeah, that Dominion software was just perfect, especially for Chuck.
Link us to some court document that details any sort of actual vote fraud in that connection." Well, Chuck the lawyer. That is why law suits are filed. There are enough witnesses , some of them democrat ballot counters, that reported vote fraud that a court case can be made for vote fraud. I don't know why I bother to to talk to a lying, cheating cunt like you. Piss off.
"It will be interesting if certain workers are going to be forced to take the vaccine. My wife is a teacher and worries that the shot may become a condition of employment. She will refuse."
That's certainly her right, but why? I grant you, they are hurrying this, and I suppose there is a possibility of problems down the road, but I would not put it very high. I mean, if you are not at substantial risk from the Covid, you probably aren't at substantial risk from a vaccine based on Covid, either.
I’m just posting this here maybe as a last hurrah. Last weekend kinda broke me. Or I finally broke. It was the ongoing Covid sh*t and the election sh*t, but also 20 years of obsessively drinking from the firehose of information on the Internets which, for an OCD geek like me is like an opium drip. Saturday evening I was writing an email to a friend who’d asked me for my opinions on the Covid stuff and while in the middle of a treatise on power politics, mortality related to unemployment/poverty, the mortality profiles of seasonal influenza, and looking up references and. . . .I just broke. All I could think was What’s The Point? For years I’ve been totally engaged, and informed, and absorbing blogs and news aggregators and columnists and thinking I was totally In The Know and the world is still going to sh*t and there’s nothing I can do about it. I went out to the living room and laid down on a couch and pretended to watch (college) football but mostly just stared at a wall for over an hour.
I don’t want to watch any news. I don’t want to check Insty or Ace or Althouse or any other web site. I’m 58 and have been at this for 20 years and I think I’m just tired of it all. I’ve fought the good fight and now I just want to go back to the farm (figuratively) and only pay attention to what’s in my immediate environs. Oddly, that night we had to take one of the cats to the emergency vet (he’s fine now), but he’s the sweetest and happiest cat I’ve ever had. All he knows is us and his house and he’s perfectly happy and I need like 3 different drugs to sleep through the night.
I can’t help but be reminded of the Terrence Mann character in Field of Dreams when Ray asks him if he misses being Involved: “I was the East Coast distributor of "involved." I ate it, drank it, and breathed it... Then they killed Martin, Bobby, and they elected Tricky Dick twice, and people like you must think I'm miserable because I'm not involved anymore. Well, I've got news for you. I spent all my misery years ago. I have no more pain for anything. I gave at the office.”
Chuck (3:58PM) "Rusty; so like Michael K, you can’t link to any actual courtroom-worthy evidence either." See if you can follow the logic. I know it's difficult. No case has been adjudicated as yet. https://www.lifezette.com/video/2020/11/serious-allegations-and-evidence-of-voter-fraud-in-michigan-marring-results-likely-t You're a lying c#*t Chuck. And embarrassingly thick.
Recently, I've watched a very close relative descend into schizophrenia.
Most of her concerns involve,.........The neighbors are going to steal her septic tank. The neighbors are going steal the new sea wall. They are taking my money.
Over the weekend, I watched some football, and the tube stayed-on for the news update.
Most of their concerns involve........Trump is taking your rights away. Trump is building a wall, and taking their rights away. Trump is taking the budget away from the gay naked whale crisis.
It doesn't sound as though the overvote theory has any legs logically or factually. But if someone wants to bring an overvote claim, go for it. Just be prepared to explain what the fraud was and how it was accomplished.
The Michigan case to which Ronna McDaniel referred turned out to be a clerical error that was corrected promptly by the Republican official in charge of the count before any lawsuit was filed. When advised of McDaniel's claim, the official was angry that fraud had even been suggested, regarding it as an insult to her/his competence and integrity.
The Dominion software is used all over the country. When I pollwatched in Nevada in 2016, an unaffiliated poll watcher came to sit in with the three Democrats and two Republicans watching at our poll. She initially refused to give her name, which caused the election officials to tell her that she had to leave, which she did. Later she changed her mind, came back, gave her name, and sat with the rest of us for a couple of hours. She told us that what we were doing was futile, because George Soros had programmed all the voting machines, and he would decide what the outcome was. We all, Republican and Democrat alike, thought that her theory was nuts. And so, I predict, would a court....
And this, I think, is how it is going to go, until all the lawsuits are dismissed and everyone loses interest. At that point, how many people will continue to contend the election was stolen? And how will that population overlap with the people who continued for years to assert that Barack Obama was not born in the US?
It's also interesting that Fox News fact reporters on the ground in Philly have said repeatedly that the claims that Trump observers were excluded are false.
The lawyer for Trump in one of the Philly suit had to have the judge drag out of him the admission that Trump had observers at all times.
So who thinks its right for Trump, McEnany and others to keep peddling that idea, when the campaign's own lawyer admitted in open court that Trump observers were in the room, and when the Fox reporters on the scene confirm that fact. This is not proceeding with no evidence--it is proceeding in the face of the evidence. Defensible?
The last time I commented, earlier this afternoon, there was no mo-------n. Please, please, don't prove that it has to be by engaging with C---- and whoever else shows up.
"Chuck" voted for Trump in 2016. Why didn't he vote for Trump in 2020? Is Biden so much a better candidate than Hillary? It is tiresome to dig through the levels of insanity of the TDS crowd.
I'm a Trump voter who really doesn't care much about Trump. When the smoke clears I expect him to be the loser, and what happens to him will happen.
Let's stipulate his corruption and incompetence (with a curious apparent ability not to be charged with anything real despite being The Most Investigated Man in History). So what?
Any individual president, especially a business baboon like Trump, is a wave on the beach. He had no apparatus going in, and he will leave behind no core of Trump people in the bureaucracy--any political appointees he made will quit or be fired (boohoo) and any of the career civil servants who cast their lot with him should be looking for other work. That GS-12 ain't coming now.
On the othwer paw, the Dim chimps will be emboldened to pursue some of their wackier ideas, which will be nice distractions from ever-increasing corporate control by Big Tech.
I don't think we'll end up S/socialist in any fundamental way, but we will certainly be overseen by a political-corporate apparat with its own nomenklatura. I'm old enough to remember when lefties and liberals claimed to be against the overweening and unaccountable power of corporations.
Narr Some people don't want tyranny, they just want to be told what to think

How much vertical does your walk involve? What pace?
Challenge accepted! Though you shown me up already this morning with your three or four posts.
Wonder what it cost Joe to have Pfizer delay the announcement of the Wuflu vaccine for another week?
I just walked that trail last week and took an almost identical photo. Lovely place with no one else around. Good for the soul.

My grand grandmother used to say for communists:
They do not steal,
they take your own from you publicly without respecting law.
Stealing is when you want to hide it, but communists
do not want to hide themselves.
I do not know word in English for
"take your own from you publicly without respecting law",
but there is a word in my maternal language.

I'll miss Althouse's fine pictures and insight when Biden's ministry of truth shuts down her blog; can't let anything get in the way of national unity, can we?
Grow the fuck up Tim
"Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former FDA commissioner, told CNBC the vaccine could be available in limited use as early as late December and widely available by the third quarter of 2021."
"You people are deep in the Kool-Aid."
So? Isn't Kool-Aid FDA approved? I'm sure the FDA could never be politically corrupt. Oops... or did I just drink the Kool-Aid?
https://ethics.harvard.edu/blog/risky-drugs-why-fda-cannot-be-trusted
I don't know, Meade. Crack is the Kool-Aid expert, ask him.
Trump haters irresponsibly egged on by Biden.
overlode? overload?
"Yep. Pfizer waited until Biden was declared before announcing the vaccine. Suddenly the pandemic problem is over, no more worries."
Could turn out well depending on how the election ends up. You wouldn't know it from watching the MSM but the MSM doesn't get to declare the winner.
FOX Business May still get a few looks.
Tim you went from a Pfizer Biden conspiracy to defending Trump overstating the vaccine timeline. Very Clintonesque
The pandemic is just getting started. Europe is locking down, we will be next in January.
The bare branches of November, their fallen leaves as dead on the ground as many Americans' faith in fair and honest elections. Democracy in America - July 4, 1776 - November 3, 2020.
Walk a 4.2 in my moccasins...
and then tell me your feet don't hurt.
The pandemic is just getting started.
That worked for Obama didn't it?
I'm not sure asserts ...the MSM doesn't get to declare the winner.
I'd really like to believe that but I think they already have.
Trump has already put the rapid production and distribution of the vaccine in place. Let's hope Biden doesn't fuck it up.
Deaths are just part of the story. Overwhelmed hospitals and more lockdowns are coming. All before the vaccine hits in Summer.
For the record, I won't be taking the vaccine. Nothing to do with politics.
The Federalist Society conference is free and online this week.
The International Churchill Society's conference was also free and online this year. An author I particularly like had a free online class through the Cleveland library.
I wonder if many events forced online this year will continue to be online in the future.
"I'd really like to believe that but I think they already have."
Yes, they have. They've declared lots of things. Sometimes, they're even true.

They slow counted cases in the same way that they slow counted ballots.

Churches are going to be teh backbone of the resistance.
Read Howard’s link:
Since we must wait for a certain number of cases to occur, this data may come earlier or later based on changes in the infection rates.
And then look at this:
At that time, the companies decided to stop having their lab confirm cases of Covid-19 in the study, instead leaving samples in storage. The FDA was aware of this decision. Discussions between the agency and the companies concluded, and testing began this past Wednesday. When the samples were tested, there were 94 cases of Covid in the trial.

I just found another example of systemic racism! Did you know there is a “whites” setting on the washing machine.

"As I’ve said before, we are operating at the speed of science. “ - Howard’s link.
What a fucking tool.
Haha! See you in court.
OK fraudster.
"What’s your rush?"
Fear of the truth?
I can live with a Trump loss, I can’t live with accepting the results of this election without careful examination given the way the rules where slapped together in such a hurried manner, and all of the new rules seemed to be designed to make fraud easier.
True or false:
Joe Biden outlining his plan for dealing with coronavirus sounds a lot like Joe Biden outlining that he has no plan for dealing with coronavirus.

I had to turn off Biden's speech this morning. Too depressing. Put on Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp [Galway] and felt somewhat better.
Rick bright and dr. Death panel is on tge taskforce.
mockturtle said...For the record, I won't be taking the vaccine.
That right there is bullshit. Any recount will be undertaken on a completely different basis. There was no huge mail in ballot with safeguards relaxed in 2016, for one thing. Face it, you are letting what you want so badly to be true affect your thinking.
Gore.
tim in vermont said...

Is Trump just postponing the day of reckoning for media stocks when sleepy Joe finally takes over and the news becomes ordinary again?
" also hope that Trump voters accept the result of the court challenges better than the Dems handled Bsuh v. Gore.”
Why? It energized Democrats for two decades. The fact that canvassers hid their activity from scrutiny is enough to tell me that this election was stolen. It may not be provable, but when people act guilty, it’s usually because they are guilty.
Trying to remember what I did in 2000 to not accept Bush v Gore. Maybe I said Happy Holidays a couple of times.
Biden should be wondering who got the expiration date: 75 guy on the task force.
Hey Chuck,
Are you pleased that confidence in the voting process of nearly 50% of the voting population has been destroyed? I'm pretty certain that you are pleased that some significant portion of them will never vote again, believing the process is flawed and corrupt. I used to think people like that were crazy. Now I am not so certain.
We need Trump's lawsuits to see if confidence can be re established.
My wife said it sounds like inner ear and she gave me a meloxicam (I think).
Is your wife a Democrat? If the answer is “yes”, call 9-1-1 and better be quick about it.
"These are going to be the best two months of the entire Trump era."
The last sixty days of an age when people were seen as free individuals. Yes, let's celebrate that.
From today's Las Vegas Review-Journal:
"Who gets counted as a COVID-19 death has been questioned for months, with no formal definition in place nationwide as officials adapt to a new disease’s destructive impact.
"My hunch is that when all the dust settles, many of these early report will be proven false."
No doubt there are some fake ones, but if they are easily debunked then you have to ask yourself, who benefits from putting those out?
Regardless, the existence of fake ones doesn't invalidate the real ones, which are numerous and inexplicable outside of cheating.

This is how I sleep peacefully every night.

How many ballots in PA, MI, and WI had no down-ballot votes, only Biden votes?
Might be an interesting stat to know.

That number has been batted around but I don't know the source. Would be interesting to have the states report it -- the GOP controls SOS in Georgia.

Sorry for the repeat...an error message indicated that the first post didn't go through.
This is to me the best current analysis of the anomalies associated with the vote. It does not prove fraud, but suggests that it may have occurred, especially in Wisconsin.
Chuck:
But I don’t think any group has ever more maliciously and selfishly damaged public conference in elections the way that two Trump campaigns have.
Yeah, that Dominion software was just perfect, especially for Chuck.
"About the story of the purported 450,000 undervotes..."
"Link us to some court document that details any sort of actual vote fraud in that connection."
I take it you don't believe the reported fraud. OK. So looking into it wouldn't be a big issue, right? I mean- if it's as obvious as you seem to be saying, it can be sorted out rather quickly, right?
Chuck will describe this story as "right wing source" acknowledging that he is a Democrat, like so many lawyers.
There is more.
In case anyone wonders who owns that software in Michigan (and elsewhere), guess.
He also has served as Vice-Chairman of the World Economic Forum. He began his career as a journalist at The Economist.
Journalist. Lots of software developers start as journalists, don't they ?

Well, Chuck the lawyer. That is why law suits are filed. There are enough witnesses , some of them democrat ballot counters, that reported vote fraud that a court case can be made for vote fraud.
I don't know why I bother to to talk to a lying, cheating cunt like you. Piss off.
Remember Covid? That disease thingie we were all so worried about last week?

I can’t help but be reminded of the Terrence Mann character in Field of Dreams when Ray asks him if he misses being Involved:
“I was the East Coast distributor of "involved." I ate it, drank it, and breathed it... Then they killed Martin, Bobby, and they elected Tricky Dick twice, and people like you must think I'm miserable because I'm not involved anymore. Well, I've got news for you. I spent all my misery years ago. I have no more pain for anything. I gave at the office.”
That’s all. I just wanted to get that out.
Chuck (2:48PM)
I’m not interested in any “investigation” at this point. I don’t need any answers.
Chuck (3:58PM)
Rusty; so like Michael K, you can’t link to any actual courtroom-worthy evidence either.
Thought you weren't interested. Changed your mind, I see.
For the record, nobody on this site ever missed having Chuck around.

You're a lying c#*t Chuck. And embarrassingly thick.
No case has been adjudicated as yet.
Chuck doesn't care He has his own courts. They are in his head.
But I just don’t care. All that I care about is your linking us to real stuff. Real court documents, affidavits, evidence. You’re not doing that.
Chuck, all you care about is your corrupt senile candidate. You are infesting this blog again.
Is my tin foil hat a little too tight??
"Trump observers were in the room”
Not allowed to do their jobs, but they were within the four walls.
"Chuck" voted for Trump in 2016. Why didn't he vote for Trump in 2020?
Is Biden so much a better candidate than Hillary?
It is tiresome to dig through the levels of insanity of the TDS crowd.
Chuck, all you care about is your corrupt senile candidate. You are infesting this blog again.
Chuck's target has never been Trump, but Ann and she's bored or tired of pushing the anosmia/dead envelope...
At least Stephen is making arguments, even if wrong ones. Chuck doesn't seem to be able to do that.
"And this, I think, is how it is going to go."
OK, Stephen, now we know how you think it is going to go. Those who were wondering are wondering no longer, you have made your thinking clear.
Marc is right: Don't feed trolls! We don't want to go back to moderation, do we???

Some people don't want tyranny, they just want to be told what to think
