"After 11 years, Bob Dylan is returning to his fabled Theme Time Radio Hour series, which will take over SiriusXM’s Deep Tracks (Ch. 27) with a brand-new show and a one-week limited-run channel..."

"... featuring every episode of the original Theme Time, starting Monday, September 21 at 12pm ET. First introduced in May 2006, Theme Time Radio Hour was a weekly one-hour radio show hosted by Bob Dylan, with each episode dedicated to a different topic, including Money, Presidents, and Spring Cleaning. The show was among the most-listened-to programs on all of satellite radio. All of Dylan’s classic satellite Theme Time shows will air back to back during the week, including a brand new, never-before-heard episode titled 'Whiskey' a tie-in to his whiskey collection, Heaven’s Door Spirits. In honor of Bourbon Heritage Month, the all-new two-hour episode discusses how whiskey has shaped the world — from music to sports and everything in between.... While Bob Dylan got through three years and 100 episodes without once playing any of his recordings on Theme Time Radio Hour, he did break out a recorder, and launched into Blowin’ in the Wind on one show ('Days of the Week')"

I didn’t realize anybody still listened to satellite radio, since it is so inferior to all of the offerings bluetooth makes available, but I was assured by a car salesman that in fact many people still use it. Who knew? I got sick of the left wing politics of so many of the hosts and didn’t go back because why should I?

Dylan's career apex was the Traveling Wilburys, primarily because the other members of the group could cover up the tone deafness of his voice. He has written good lyrics and some good melodies, but he can't carry a tune in a bucket. Fortunately for the Wilburys, superb and unique voices like Roy Orbison, Jeff lynne, Tom Petty and George Harrison can mask even the most grating singing style. Orbison's untimely demise ruined it all, especially for Dylan.

Great news. I listen to many back then. He was really a good DJ and kept you interested in the history.

Plus, it fulfilled the National Lampoon's prophecy. I laughed when I heard how much Dylan actually sounded to this decades old recording:

"Hi, I'm Bob Dylan"

I read the notice letter that Princeton received from the Department of Education. It is hilarious. Princeton will, of course, delay answering the letter in hopes that Biden wins the election, but former minority students should sue the university for recompense using the university president's letter as exhibit 1- open and shut case, right? An ambitious young lawyer should file an immediate class action- it is literally free money at this point in time. Bankrupt the fuckers.

The DOE can use Michelle Obama's senior thesis at Princeton to establish a pattern of racism dating back decades.

"how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?"

And that fundamentally is why I cannot vote for Joe Biden -- yeah, now he is sorry for voting for the current wars, but where is his passion for ending them?

Am I sure Trump will end them? No, not in the slightest. But at least Trump is trying to start a debate about whether Establishment foreign policy is moral or even sensible.

Which is more than can be said for Joe Biden.

(I am a registered Democrat: I voted for Gabbard in the primary. But Biden? I remember the '60s: The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind, and for anyone who loves peace, the answer is not Joe Biden.)

Music history is under the Covid-19 gun too. As venues and live audio companies go belly up, here's news from Westminster:

In that case I might give it a try....

I burned all the Theme Time Radio Hours to CD, and any time I’m going to be traveling for a couple of hours, I bring one along. The quality of the music is shockingly high and they’re all a total blast. This is the Baseball Show from Season One. You got Sonny Rollins, Sister Wynona Carr, beatniks, Ry Cooder, and the cast of ‘Damn Yankees.’ His outro music (as always) is a jazz version of the theme from “Top Cat.” I wish he’d done another 500 of these. Maybe he will.
