What do you think this article is about?
I captured that from the front page of the Times of London. Here's the article:
"Keith Weed shoots to top of gardening world/The aptly named new president of the Royal Horticultural Society has big ambitions."

Haha, click bait for the gardening crowd and marijuana aficionados. I rank this one as clever rather than cynical.
Althouse’s continual juvenile fascination with marijuana and marijuana jokes?
Did he eat and leave?
I thought that tall weeds were becoming trendy to have in gardens.
All you have to do is look at the sorry excuse for debate that the woke promote here. But at least some try. Not like their cowardly brethren.
Wow Ann. Please delete my last post. Don't know how it ended up here. Delete this one too please.

My ex's first husband was a Weed!
Ah to be in London for the Royal Horticultural Society Show at Chelsea Barracks in the spring! Not. It is the big event of the English gardening world, and the kickoff of the spring social season for London's Hoity Toity.
England's top 50 or so professional garden designers are each given a space--maybe 25 square meters (for we Yanks that's a bit more than 16 feet x 16 feet0 to create a display garden. The horticultural faithful swarm the joint. And I do mean swarm. The display gardens are very attractive.
I pulled the number 6 oar on my college crew, so I'm not a small guy. But grannies with umbrellas and sharp elbows were pressing for a view of each display, and I quickly retreated to the champagne and strawberry tent to get out of the scrum. My wife of course loved it--and I waited while she wandered through it all.
So yes, rising to the top of the Royal Horticultural Society is a big deal in England.
Did he eat and leave?
Well played.
Jersey Fled, you should be able to delete your own comments. Click on the little trash can after the time. Just be sure you get the roots, too.

Aha! Just as I suspected! She's nothing but a common mobile vulgaris!
Oh no!
A common what?
To put it bluntly, a weed!
I'm not a weed!
The pun was obvious--I didn't have to look.
Wasn't Patty Hearst's beau a Weed?
Narr
More a mighty oak, myself
Indeed.
Interesting that today it is rumored that the King of Morocco is considering legalizing hashish for domestic consumption to help pay for the Corona compensations that the King is also proposing.
Fifty percent credibility.
I wonder if he's related to Abner Weed, for whom the town of Weed, CA was named. It's home of Weed High and the excellent Hi-Lo Cafe.
A garden, a gardener, and a hierarchy.
Word on a celebrity gossip site is that Martha Stewart grows the best weed...I can see that.
Like most British gardeners, his mode of dress is a bit seedy.
A "weed" is a plant that is growing where it is not wanted.
