"That lady... that new press secretary... she's a gangsta..."

And as for Trump: "A lion should not be so concerned about the opinions of sheep."

Translated: Donald Trump should not be so concerned about the opinions of fake gnus.

A lot of fucking swearing going on.

Mcenany is a full warrior disguised as a press secretary. Is she Special Forces?

So you want to open the door for the virus killing Americans--like the Democrats do? Trump shut the border while Democrats were crying about that and urging everyone to go to Chinatown for the Chinese New Year and kiss an Irish lass on St. Paddy's Day. You, Sir, are despicable,

Everyman Joe Rogan is slightly tip-toeing more into the political waters. In his other gig, the UFC, his boss Dana White is a big Trump supporter.

The Lion don't give a shit 'bout no sheep!

They're all so far beneath Trump in zinger capability that you wonder what they consider to be a lion.

Any analysis should start with what audience the reporters and the press secretary are aiming at. Women. The press secretary hopes to get in under the rhetorically skilled woman banner, but she's an amateur too.

Trump not only throws sand in their gears but gets them to choose the topic he wants to be in the news.

Nobody quite picked up on the unfairness of the reporter’s question.

The question conflated the stated objective of not “allowing” the virus to enter the country with an obligation to prevent its entry or spread.

There was precedent to clear the darkness. The JournoLists unveiled their true character when Trump addressed a similar issue of mitigating the progress of terrorist contagion and excess deaths redistributed from infected jurisdictions, which motivated the rejection of conventional calls to [catastrophic] [anthropogenic] immigration reform in favor of emigration reform in a forward-looking policy to sustainably flatten the curve of children left behind.

It's easy to prepare for questions like that when they're so predictable.

The point is that she out Trumped Trump . When they hit her, and she was their target, she hit them back twice as hard and enjoyed every second of it. UFC material.

thought experiment

switch new press secretary and Barr for Q&A venues

she would have done better about the rule of law

Not so sure.

Rogan said, "nah, he's a cunt...it was a cunty question."

Mcenany may single-handedly tame the WH presstitutes by embarrassing them every time they try the disingenuous crap. The way she smiled and sweetly twisted the knife in that alleged reporter's back was a thing of beauty. I'm going to have to start watching WH press conferences.

She did all right, but it wasn’t nearly as devastating as the buildup had it.

I’d have said something like, “Allow it or not, my is going up your ass.”

Beautiful and incredibly smart and tough. Yay!

The pandemic panic, that is the shutdowns and economic sabotage, is another chapter in this game the Democrats and their media are playing.

I agree that a lion should not be worried about a single sheep. Unless it is to worryu about whether it should eat the sheep for lunch or save it for supper.

The single sheep represents no threat to the lion. But a bunch of sheep? Like a gaggle of swans, can do some pretty serious fatal harm to the lion.

I think he has to punch back.

Another example where PDJT did the gotcha was last week or the week before. A young reporter started to ask PDJT a question about oil prices. Trump asked him if he knew the price of oil. The reporter said no, but he could look it up.

PDJT chastised him for not doing his homework and moved on to another journo.

A couple days later the same reporter stood up, said he knew the price of oil and started to ask the question. He also asked PDJt if HE knew the price of oil. Well, he did, of course, but bantered back and forth a bit showing it was all in good fun. It was an interesting exchange.

Kind of like the exchange about whether he should pardon the Tiger King. PDJT likes to have fun when they will let them. But if they bite him on the ankle, he will kick back.

How come Joe Rogan and crew can call a person a "cunt" and complain about "cunty" behavior. More power to him for doing it but that has become one of those words like "the n word" that has magical powers and must never be said.

Joe must have some powerful mojo.

And no network telling him what to do and say.

I've been wondering when someone would take this tack:

When someone from CNN asks a dumb question, hit them back with a question about what CNN said in the last 24 hours, and so on.

If they ask a respectful question, give a respective answer.

It's like training a little kid.

"The Lion don't give a shit 'bout no sheep!"

Sheep is food so the lion gives a shit about sheep. To the usual lion, a kill is rare, so the lion does not see her role as conserving of sheep, She sees it as an opportunity where the probability of success is independent of her past kills. When she kills a large number of the flock this is no longer true. Humans know that if they kill too many sheep the probability of killing the marginal sheep is reduced.

Rogan: “a lion should not be so concerned about the opinions of sheep”

I get that and at times Trump does go overboard and at times I think he does demean the office of the President BUT he is trying to balance the internal and external threats to himself AND the country. He has a press that actively works against him and lies OPENLY about him and his administration. We have a "deep state" that is actively working against him and is getting cover from the media.

I think the guy has earned a few Mulligans for the pressure he is under and for all the fronts he is fighting on.

I do wish he would wise up and start firing these deep-state a$$holes that keep on keeping on. I want firings and indictments and jail time for these criminals!

Bill Peschel said...

It's the Tit for Tat strategy in action, and Trump will keep doing it until morale improves.

Meanwhile, listen to those who chastise the president for fighting back. They're sheep trying to become lions.

Masscon said...

Well, it may not be gnu's but a more compelling analogy is the lion DOES need to care about the opinion of jackals. In packs, they're dangerous, so best to take one out when they get too aggressive.

daskol said...

Gangsta indeed. That was not even her best moment of the week. That came when some douchey reporter asked her in one of her earliest briefings why she's working for Trump when she called him some bad names back in 2016. Here answer: I'm so glad you asked me that. At that time, I naively was watching CNN and actually believing the stuff they were putting on the air. I don't make that mistake anymore. BAM.

daskol said...

What do the kids say? pwned. wrecked.

Brian said...

Joe Rogan only thinks the press are sheep because Trump the lion fights back and makes them look like sheep.

John McCain didn't fight back and the press was allowed to set the narrative. They all applauded his character... after he lost.

Mistah Trump, he brought in a woman with a MOUTH, and she KNOWS how to use it!

Saint Croix said...

Rogan is interesting because he's a Bernie bro, and he's obviously voting for Trump (if he votes at all). He's opposed to Biden because he is seeing a decline in cognitive function.

This is probably why Rogan is such a strong interviewer. He's not partisan at all. He's aware of politics but it's not his focus. He's comfortable jumping back and forth between the two main parties.

There are a tremendous number of people who vote this way. It shouldn't be hard to find non-partisan journalists. And yet so many journalists seem highly partisan. It's obvious to the people on the other side. But it's also obvious to the people who are not partisan. And that's the group whose vote is up for grabs.

“a lion should not be so concerned about the opinions of sheep”

But then the lion would let the sheep retain the initiative and control the news cycle. Something Bush, Jr. and Romney never learned.
