"Public Enemy have fired founder member Flavor Flav following a dispute over the group performing at a Bernie Sanders rally..."

"... bringing to an end one of the most colourful partnerships in rap history. A statement said the group would be 'moving forward without Flavor Flav. We thank him for his years of service and wish him well.'... [L]awyers for Flavor Flav said the rapper 'has not endorsed any political candidate in this election cycle,' adding that Sanders was not authorised to use the group’s image without Flav’s permission: 'While Chuck is certainly free to express his political view as he sees fit – his voice alone does not speak for Public Enemy.'... The dismissal ends an enduring and characterful partnership, where Chuck D’s withering political screeds were offset by Flav’s animated punchlines and outlandish image, featuring outsize clocks worn around his neck."

From "Public Enemy fire Flavor Flav after clash over Bernie Sanders rally/Spat brings one of rap’s longest partnerships to an end, as Chuck D says his former bandmate is motivated by money and ‘better find rehab’" (The Guardian).

Speaking of outsize clocks, time only runs forward, and firing Flavor Flav after the event doesn't undo the problem of using him in an endorsement against his will.

The only problem - Chuck D owns the rights to the logo [which he designed] and wrote most of Flavor Flav's lines.

This is like Dennis Rodman claiming credit for the great Bulls years when Pippen and Jordan were the ones doing the work.

Dude whose sole feature was a hypeman with comedic clocks overstates his importance and relevance.

“ It's not the people who endorse that count, it's the people who count the endorsements."

Public Enemy without the colorful court jester Flava Flav seems pretty dull.

I can't move past the image of Bernie Sanders bouncing to Public Enemy at a rally.

Makes Trump look even more normal.

Have fun in court jokers.

You can't just fire someone and use their likeness and trademark property.

Some classic trash talk between Chuck D and Flav in the
FOX NEWS story:

Flavor Flav's reps: “The planned performance will only be Chuck D of Public Enemy, it will not be a performance by Public Enemy. Those who truly know what Public Enemy stands for know what time it is, there is no Public Enemy without Flavor Flav."

Chuck D response: "It's not about BERNIE with Flav... he don’t know the difference between BarrySanders or BernieSanders he don’t know either,"

This is a somewhat funny intra-rap group dispute! Bernie just wrecks things, don't he?

I won't worry about this.

The Revolution takes no prisoners. As Bernie’s favorite Communist leaders would say, “ take him outside and shoot him”. That was the remedy for being the first one who stopped clapping. Being a Communist is hard and has no rewards at all.

That's exactly what a lefty would say. Always trying to shut things down down with their legal threats & Lawfare.

I can't tell from this post which one is the Sanders supporter. Flav was fired because he refused to perform at a Bernie rally?

Public Enemy was last relevant about 1993, biggest album was in the late '80's when Bush the Elder was President. I have kids in college who never heard of them. Just what old man Sanders would seize on to appear "youthful."

Its been 8 months since my husband returned back to me all thanks to Dr. OKO for his help. My husband left me for his boss at the office, she tricked him with what I don’t know that one day my husband came home to say he will be traveling for a seminal with his boss and that was the last day he came home. For one year I have been battling with my marriage, my husband don’t want to see me or our child non send money. Until I read about Dr. Oko’s great work online, so I contacted him for an advice and after my encounter with oko, behold my husband came home begging for forgiveness. I forgave him and we moved on but the most surprising thing was that my husband said his boss threatened to sack him if he stop seeing her but everything turn out to be promotion, just as Dr. OKO said it was going to be in the end. I came in here to share it just in case there’s anyone who is going through such or heartbreaks OKO will help you out. Contacts: okotemple@live.com (+2347084878384)
