That one's cool.

This one would not be improved by more scenery at the horizon. Brava!

That is a photograph that doesn't need any mountains.

I am Laslo.

It might seem counterintuitive at first glance, but 70 percent alcohol disinfects better than 91 percent.

Just have to say that, as a retired Badger, your photos are breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks for help to stir up so many fond memories.

You can see the Terminal Tower in Cleveland from Madison?

"That is a photograph that doesn't need any mountains."

Sometimes mountain are the view; other times they block the view.

That also applies to women.

I am Laslo.

Sometimes a man can't see the swish for the ponytails.

It turns out that's for bacteria. The argument for coronaviruses is less clear.

And remember that for hands at least, soap and water are still more effective than any concentration of alcohol in a hand sanitizer.

The dot changes from red to white.

Is this a video?

Now it's gone.

If the dot is red, it's Madison. If the dot is orange, it's DC.

Mottled grey skyscape;
Pale sun; lakeshore horizon.
Cloudwaves rest on rock.

Narr
Well, I enjoyed it

Look at the red dot, then let your eyes follow the horizon in either direction. The red dot will disappear.

JMW Turner ayon kay ...

In one photograph you have captured the classical elements: earth, air, water, fire (sun). Bravo!

Thanks for the photo and for mentioning the dot. I had to look closely to find the dot.

It would make a great 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle.

It really is a nice photograph. The stones in the foreground help to make it work.

I mistakenly left this comment on another thread - and in that one's context, doesn't make a lot of sense, so am re-posting here. Apologies.

Most excellent. It immediately called to mind the movie about JMW Turner wherein he added a splash of red paint to accentuate a work that seemed to be 'missing something' and it made all the difference. Lovely.

That is really a great photograph. I hate to praise it too much because I don't want to encourage Ann to abandon this blog and go into photography.
