Trump is about to give his victory speech.

You can watch it live at NPR, here.

ADDED: A very enjoyable speech. Spontaneous. Some rally-style, good-humored nastiness at the beginning — "evil corrupt... dirty cops... it was all bullshit" — but most of it was team building. Early on he said, "You develop friends in battle," and it turned into his thanking and celebrating the individual friends, not just for what they did helping him win his fight, but also for how they won their own way into politics, and what their wonderful future could be. He talked about how they looked — who looks like he was sent over from "central casting" and who doesn't wear a suit jacket because he's so rightly proud of his wrestler's physique. My favorite part was about Steve Scalise, the man with a wife who, unlike many wives, did not want her husband to die. I love the description of Scalise back on the baseball diamond after his brush with death, fielding a hard shot though "He had no range!" The particularity of it all was just plain nice. Didn't it make them all love being on his team, ready to go and go into the fall elections and to spring into action as soon as the Democrats throw the next "bullshit" at them?

AND: The word that kept coming up as he complimented them one by one was: "warrior." They were warriors — "friends in battle." What great spirit he found and amplified in that room!

ADDED: I see on Twitter that Trump antagonists are jumping on him for saying:
"I want to apologize to my family for having them have to go through a phony, rotted deal by some very evil and sick people. And Ivanka is here, and my sons, and my whole family. And that includes Barron."
Because... if he said "my whole family," why did he need to add "And that includes Barron"? These people. Always looking for something to spin.

I mean, I noticed "And that includes Barron." It was odd, but the man was speaking ad lib for over an hour. One thing was worded oddly. I think it was obvious that what he meant was he wanted to express love for his family after all they had to endure, and especially for Barron, the youngest one.

BTW, did I mention that Ciaramella met with the guy who helpfully provided the made up dirt to the DNC in the White House, per DNC logs?

I think too many people are forgetting Obama transferred hundreds of his political appointees into permanent positions in the bureaucracy in the last days of being in office.

If it seems like "those fuckers are everywhere" it's because they are, and this is why.

This!

Trump is a deal-maker. He wants a "great" deal, or at least something he can claim is a great deal. Had the Dems not resisted, Trump would have made all kinds of deals to "get stuff done" that a lot of us would not have been happy with. Instead they dug in so he was able to go after what he really wanted since there was no way the Dems would deal with him open. The more they resist, the more his base supports Trump "digging in", the more he pays back by getting what we all really want and not a watered down compromise.

I didn't watch the (victory) speech. However, he is pointing out who is physically there and how they all have been savaged by the media.

I am assuming that Barron wasn't physically present? There would be no need for a child to be at this event. So....perhaps the "includes Barron" statement is a recognition that the whole family...is involved. Even Barron who is elsewhere.

If Trump had not mentioned Barron the libs would be all over that...HOW dare he forget his kid!!!.

Depending on what database system they were using this would not be difficult with that key.

It would take creativity at this point to make the app openly vulnerable.

on a side note, it would seem there is more than enough reason to fire and replace Wray. his lack of response to the FBI managed contractors abusing NSA data base look up 702 queries, is raw negligence of office. Then, still no response to Clinesmith, the agent responsible for altering emails used as evidence in FISA warrants. Hopefully the Trump team is zeroed in one one or two Elliott Ness's that have no ties to Washington DC swamp, and willing to make heads roll to clean up the corruption that eroded the FBI during 8 years of Obama's politicization of the DoJ.

The danger in a hard-coded API is that they probably used the userid and password. So you wouldn’t use the API at all. Once you have the credentials all you need to do is sit back and change things with another interface. And from some of the posts I’ve seen about the code, I bet the database tables were not protected with a timestamp column to show when changes where made and by whom. And a safe database would have tables dedicated to tracking all the changes made to the data.

Then, what happened to the idea that a president's minor children are out of bounds? Forgot about that? And so did that hack Karlen. It's supposed to be like they are not even there, except to be praised and coddled. How did Karlen do on that, peabrain?

Or maybe you just think that that humane rule is only applied to Demmies. Why might I think that? Because the HW Bush minor grandchildren, the W Bush minor children, and now the Trumps' minor son have all been exposed to MSM examination and partisan hack ridicule by Demmies. On the rare occasions that GOPers tried that on the Obama girls, people lost their jobs, and rightly so. Little Chelsea got treated like she was wrapped in cotton floss, except by some hacks on SNL.

If you are in the majority, you actually have to decide things.

ARM, like the rest of the Demmies, you are one or two elections behind. Team Demmie thinks they are going to win with a candidate with the right "identity" and a program of free stuff and open borders.

Trump and the GOP are going to march forward unified under the banner of economic strength, full employment, national defense forces deployed abroad only to protect American lives and property, personal freedom, equality before the law, and respect for the rule of law.

We may not win, but I like our program and our chances.

But did you know there is also a White House dog?" — a picture of Chelsea then appeared onscreen. Although Limbaugh has claimed it was a technical error, as Al Franken documented in his book Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them, the show was on a tape delay, so if truly a technical error, it could have been corrected prior to the show's airing. Limbaugh countered that the television show was a big drain on his time and did not include retakes. Limbaugh apologized on his show, claiming fatigue. A few days later, he said, "I don't need to get laughs by commenting on people's looks, especially a young child who's done nothing wrong. I mean, [Chelsea] can't control the way she looks."

Trump made the point that he now has many very able defenders, some of whom are going back to their home states to further their political careers there by spreading his ideas on how to make the economy work, others at work on trials to come for Deep State criminals. He probably also liked to think of Speech-Ripper hearing that Trump was over in the White House thanking a roomful of defenders and intermittently slamming her. She would be thinking that this contrasted with her solo rant. From this she turns to the latest update from Iowa where DNC incompetence is on display, then turns from that to Milwaukee where her party members have threatened to burn the city and have actually given all the convention-related graft to people from New Jersey. This last, of course, is receiving the undivided attention of Milwaukee's leadership who know the essentials from the yada-yada. Nancy sighs. Then she finds her self humming a gay little tune and feels better, then the words come back to her: "It was sad, it was sad, it was sad when the great ship went down... And so we leave poor Nan, alone as night falls on the darkened Capitol.

Money quote: "A half-dozen women of color have departed Elizabeth Warren’s Nevada campaign in the run-up to the state’s caucuses with complaints of a toxic work environment in which minorities felt tokenized and senior leadership was at loggerheads."

I think it is big-hearted of those women of color to work for Elizabeth Warren, given that she falsely asserted — on no hard evidence — that she was a woman of color to get ahead in her career. All the benefits of affirmative action with none of the problems that she would have had to overcome if she really had been a POC. Sweeeeeeeet

Speaker Pelosi Accuses President Trump of Being Sedated at State of the Union Address

Seeing Red said...

Via NY Post:

...The president won the hearts of farmers by abolishing inheritance taxes, says Kaufmann, a seventh-generation Iowa farmer.

“In a real, fundamental way, he preserved the family farm . . . I don’t even know if he ever talked to a farmer before he ran for president but he just tapped right into that rural, populist notch . . . He knows how to read hearts and he has read the heart of rural populists in this state.”

While “tariff man” Trump waged trade war, farmers held tough until he delivered deals with Mexico, Canada, Japan — and stage one of a China deal.

“An Iowa farmer is inherently independent and skeptical — they extended their necks for the president for well over a year and then they saw him deliver,” Kaufmann said. “There is no political rhetoric, no spin, nothing that can solidify support as much as that.

“Now that he’s delivered, there’s no penetrating that bond.”...

Against my better judgment I watched ABC national news for a few minutes.

Apparently Mitt Romney is a besieged, but incredibly moral hero. Donald Trump is a vicious Hitler-type megalomaniac.

It amazes me that people still watch the DNC media. They are shoving fake news up your ass like an unwanted enema.

OK. I need to lower my blood pressure.

HoaxPPT: "Did the LA Times write an article or promote a song making fun of how black Americans other than Obama stereotypically speak and behave?"

"Barack The Magic Negro" was literally an Al Sharpton quote offered up by Sharpton as a criticism of obama because at the time it was still permissable for black Americans to make note of Barack's life experience which was said by many blacks to NOT really be a black American life experience.

Obama spoke of that as well in his autobiography which helped drive his decision to move to Chicago in order to become more "authentically" black.

I also did not hold it against obama that he despised the British because, after all, his biological father was arrested and tortured by the Brits in Africa.

A very complicated and interesting life trajectory and story for our ex-President.

Not what Triple Divorcee Limbaugh did.

Limbaugh promoted a song intended to ridicule less fortunate blacks' attitudes and ways of speaking.

And then there was the Sandra Fluke stuff.

He then starts posting links to every thing and anything under the sun. Shoes and ships and sealing wax. Carpenters and kings.

Nothing against being a contractor. (Or even dropping out of whatever curriculum he desired before aiming for the stars with his contractor dreams).

But you can tell how much his empty head gets under his own skin. He'd like nothing more than to be the life of a party. Any party.

But then he becomes painfully aware of how stupid and ignorant he is on anything others are talking about. And then he wants to kill himself.

Sad.

To call that song racist, where every lyric is based on actual Sharpton comments. Would require me to call out Sharpton for anti-black racism.

For me to declare the song out of bounds would require me to declare Sharptons thoughts and words out of bounds.

That's why the song is perfect.

You've got a real cluster-- going on over there.

Strange.

I don't think Bloomberg will do well either. And Biden was destined to tank sooner or later.

Usually much sooner. In campaigns past, it was the first moment he'd open his clumsy mouth.

Bernie was always going to take NH. They're next-door to Vermont (as well as Canada) and don't get sexually excited by conservative appeals to cutting rural citizens' healthcare coverage the way the red state governors do.

Bernie's performance in even very conservative Vermont districts may or may not mean something to you as well.

Warren's not been doing well for reasons I can get into more with you later, if you want. Or not. It seems she's really not all that.

You know, I must be the only boomer female alive who thinks JFK wasn't that hot. Well, OK, he was hotter than Eisenhower and Nixon but that's not saying much. And it's not political bias, because when I was a Democrat and believed JFK was a great president, I still wondered why everyone thought he was so incredibly handsome. Young Teddy, I thought, was better looking than JFK, but nobody carried on about his looks. RFK and the Kennedy women all had that peculiar Irish combo of big teeth and long faces.

That would be smart, but they won't do it. Gabbard is still in the Dem Establishment doghouse for the major sin of suing Hillary (or trying to, since Hillary refuses to be served) and for the minor sin of appearing on Tucker Carlson's show. As a not fan of Trump, I think spiking the football was earned and warranted. He's right. The Democrats should have dealt with him. Look at his instincts on gun policy and willingness to deal on immigration. He would have triangulated more than Clinton. Instead, the people who warned me a Romney administration would throw old people off a cliff and empower Nazis while undermining our relationship with our ally Russia now see Romney as a truth telling independent voice of morality and Russia as our number one geopolitical foe. The Democrats fumbled the last few years terribly on a strategic level. That's before we get to the impeachment trial where a prosecuting lawyer acted as a witness and the defense could not face their accuser.
