I had to Google what the hell this MAGA Challenge was. Apparently it's "a Twitter challenge among Trump supporters, in which they upload Trump-friendly raps to the internet".
My initial reaction is that the whole premise seems silly and a little cringe worthy. I have a deeply ingrained disdain for coordinated celebrations of sitting US presidents (or other world leaders). I remember being more than a bit disturbed by those school children being trained to sing Obama's praises. But at least this doesn't appear to be children.

On-line sources I've found are remarkably murky and detail-free, but this seems like a reasonable summary:
According to the judgment, that money "was used for Mr. Trump's political campaign and disbursed by Mr. Trump's campaign staff, rather than by the Foundation," which is unlawful. However, Justice Saliann Scarpulla says the funds did eventually reach charity organizations supporting veterans.

The final outstanding issue, according to the judgment, was the amount that Trump would pay in damages over the Iowa fundraiser. James had sought the entire $2.82 million, but the judge determined that $2 million was sufficient because the money raised eventually reached veterans' charities.
So it's still not clear to me what the unlawful conduct was, or how much money was involved. It sounds like some or all of the proceeds were used for campaign purposes and then the equivalent amount of money sent on to the charities later.

No. They said that having the fundraiser in Iowa was a campaign event in and of itself, even though all of the money went to the charities as promised. Even though I don’t think that anybody is running against Trump in Iowa.
