Snow is more beautiful in November than in April.

NY Times now has detailed, well-sourced article about how POTUS apparently made up his description of the death of ISIS head. Headline:

The ‘Whimpering’ Terrorist Only Trump Seems to Have Heard
President Trump offered a vivid account of the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi “crying and screaming” in the final minutes before his death. The only problem: No one else knows what he’s talking about.

A number of commenters treated me as being virtually in cahoots with ISIS for questioning this story. But the truth is that Trump beclowns himself every day with his lies and inventions that keep getting exposed. His hardcore fans who populate these comments LOVE him for it. Go figure. You'd think a hostile press would make him more careful. But that's apparently not in his makeup.

I like the idea that it's going to snow every two or three days all next week because that restores the snow on the branches. Wet black lines weaving into white lines. By the lake we don't get that gold color; it's more a tasteful, restrained gray sky set about with restrained, tasteful gray clouds, tastefully restraining a pallid sun.

At what point (after considering posts and comments together) should a blog change its name?

To fit better the content.

It could be called “okay boomer house.”

That way it’d be “interesting” cause of adding some self-reverential grandiosity to what the turtle lovers notice re old POVs. Boom!

IMHO

Trump is letting the Dems and CNN have it with both barrels in Tupelo tonight. He seems very confident that their coup plans are imploding.

When he finally surrenders the Presidency in January, 2025 he will retire way down south to Florida where the old billionaire folks stay.

That's really a great use of resources. Almost as important as the detailed, well-sourced report that Trump did not award a dog the Medal of Honor.

You really have no idea of how nuts you sound, do you?

Nonfarm payrolls rose by 128,000 in October, exceeding the estimate of 75,000 from economists surveyed by Dow Jones.

There were big revisions of past numbers as well. August’s initial 168,000 payrolls addition was revised up to 219,000, while September’s jumped from 136,000 to 180,000.

The unemployment rate ticked slightly higher to 3.6% from 3.5%, still near the lowest in 50 years.

The pace of average hourly earnings picked up a bit, rising 0.1% to a year-over-year 3% gain.

Readering,

Dead serious question. In the arena of political gamesmanship, do you not see the sucker punch you have eagerly thrown at yourself here?
I would bet that the NYT does, but they're not in the business of attacking Trump, rather they're in the business of pandering to people who want to read attacks on Trump. So they don't care. Not in any essential way.

No she doesnt. And its gloriously funny.

Over and over again.

Trust me, we are just days away from readering telling us that Baghdadi was actually the hero by trying to stop Trump from executing the 3 children.

Seriously.

LOL

It should be remembered that Fake Conservative (now open lefty) Jen Rubin predicted months ago that Fake Hispanic Beto had fully supplanted Bernie Sanders as the first chouce of younger democrat voters.

This nuclear "hot take" of Fake Conservative Jen Rubin keeps the LLR-lefty Prediction Accuracy Score over the last 40 years at an even ZERO.

In fact, Rubin has demonstrated a degree of idiocy so great that there is no chance at all that Rubin will not become the primary "go to" pundit for ARM and readering.

I just love how the completely Aligned With Islamic Supremacists Left keeps returning to their beloved Baghdadi story!!

That is going to play magnificently throughout the industrial midwest.

Just magnificently.

Poor brave brave brave Sir Baghdadi.

Whacked by that horrible Trump fellow.

readering, I know you are looking for a reaction, and I rarely feel such a need, but let me say this:

On the post dealing with the "austere scholar" obit, you drove by and commented "they changed the headline."

So chill. When I read that, I thought: now who would write something so purposefully pithy, so haughty, except to show off, to show that all the other people reacting in a negative way to this ridiculousness are just so ...beneath you. Oh well.

And to be clear: it was a wrong. Check out how their PR lead tried to cover it later on. She even used the word wrong. But you couldn't say that, because ...well, why? It seems it is more important for you to distance yourself from the reprehensible ilk that drag their knuckles and hoot like primates round these parts. "They changed the headline". Jesus wept.

And then you go and write yards today about how insane this President is. For the umpteenth time. Because he was saying falsehoods, imagine that! look, here's a long expose in the media that shows he's making stuff up.

The same media that told you he's Putins cock holster on late night 2 years ago, and all the right folks laughed at the time. Is that cock holster thing still funny to you, or do you wonder whether jokes like that may not age as well. Who knows, maybe you're the sort who thought it was funny when they wrote about Marie Antionette and her son, ha ha

You need to realize: when they killed this guy, and a stupid completely biased newspaper treats him glowingly, and many of your fellow Americans saw "wtf?" And you come by and say "there, there" rather than suggest that yes, that was not right, you are basically signalling your contempt of them. That you can't allow that it may be wrong. "They changed the headline"

And then when you want to make sure that the albaghdadi story gets reframed in such a way (as the media wants you to think about it, that is) so that the key item is whether the president made shit up about how the guy died, and it isn't about the fact that isis lost a leader. .... again, you are signalling your contempt if not outright opposition to .... again, many of your cruddy crappy ordinary fellow Americans who are maybe ok with there being one less ISIS guy.

Truth be told, I betcha some trump voters might have even told you once: Why are you fixated on what President Windbag said, buddy? That's what all President Windbags do. We've had around forty of em.

But people won't bother to say that to you anymore. Because they have had enough of the contempt.

I know an ardent pacifist and in a debate one day she impressed me by sticking to the idea that no one needs take pleasure in the killing of another, but that's not what's going on here. Men were sent to kill this man, and by all accounts, he killed many before his own demise, and he had killed cruelly, and he would kill many (both Muslim and non Muslim) if given the means. He lived - of his volition - in a world of killing

Your statements both about the headline and then this effort at a followup reframing to make the president look like an idiot .... all they do is signal that you have either contempt or hatred for many fellow Americans who don't think like you do.

People won't ever listen to you if that's all you're gong to signal. And that's all you do. You could be right about several things in this life, or at least you could be met somewhere on the road, but the longer you go with shit like "they changed the headline" drive by.... well, you are the epitome of what buwaya has suggested is the inevitable future.

"They changed the headline"
Tomorrow, maybe think about how these things accrete.

That's right readering, Trump made it up. Nobody knows if Baghdadi was whimpering, crying and screaming at the end. It's a reasonable guess. That that's the way Trump pictures it should be a cause for great joy and celebration among thoughtful Americans.

The lamentations of their women. Never gets old. Somebody is beclowning theirself. A I don’t really care if a terrorist was insulted. B How many false stories do you have to read out of the New York Times before you begin to distrust them?

You should go back and read all of the “true stuff” about Russia that they printed for two years. “Putin ordered Comey fired” was a good one, as if there weren’t ample reasons to fire Comey that have only become more clear as time passes.

But no, readering stands up for the honor of the slaver and mass killer. It’s very important to reassure any followers he has still alive that he died well!

Yes, readering, it is very frustrating that 90% of the media agitate against Trump and it makes no impression on us. Rather to the contrary it seems.

And for other commenters above, please note that it is the media driving the Democratic Party; not the Party driving the media. The Party has no leaders; it is mob driven.

$2500/mo=$30K/yr. They didn't specify the payment period.
