Trump keeps up his effort to turn the subject of the day to Baltimore. I've combined tweets that all went up this morning — here, here, here, and here.
He's doubling down after being called a racist for what he tweeted yesterday: "Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!" And: "So sad that Elijah Cummings has been able to do so little for the people of Baltimore. Statistically, Baltimore ranks last in almost every major category. Cummings has done nothing but milk Baltimore dry, but the public is getting wise to the bad job that he is doing!"
Trump is also retweeting video showing degraded living conditions in Baltimore:
Elijah Cummings spends all of his time trying to hurt innocent people through “Oversight.” He does NOTHING for his very poor, very dangerous and very badly run district! Take a look.... #BlacksForTrump2020 https://t.co/seNVESZUht— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 27, 2019
Trump critics are forced to take the position that it's racist (at least for Trump) to call attention to the poor conditions in a place where black people live. Here are some headlines I'm seeing collected at Memeorandum:
Baltimore Sun: Better to have a few rats than to be one...The Trump critics should know by now that calling Trump racist will not cause him to back down. In fact, this newest reason to call him racist has the tendency to make us forget the last thing that made them call him racist — seriously, I've forgotten! — and to dilute the meaning of the epithet. Trump is pointing at something concrete — living conditions in Baltimore — so news reports will need to show pictures of living conditions in Baltimore and interview residents.
Jonathan Chait / New York Magazine: Why Trump Spent His Summer Vacation Sending Racist Tweets
David Zurawik / Baltimore Sun: Trump's Twitter attack on Cummings and Baltimore: undiluted racism and hate — After three years of denouncing President Trump's use of media to attack, denigrate and, yes, spew racist hate, there are days when I think I do not have a drop of vitriol left for Trump and what he's doing to this country.
Peter Baker / New York Times: Trump Assails Congressional Critic, Calling His Majority-Black District a ‘Disgusting’ Rat-Infested ‘Mess’...
I had to stop and think for a while to remember the previous Trump-is-a-racist topic. It was those tweets about Congresswomen who should "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came." Actually, that controversy is thematically related to the Baltimore topic: There are some terrible places where people unfortunately live.
So my question is: Who will help... or are Trump and his critics all hammily performing in the age-old theatrical tradition of caring for poor people?

Oh yeah, that's it - the reference was to a bunch of individuals. Sophistry.
And, who doesn't know that there are lots of great Black individuals?
Baltimore is clearly a case of tremendous government failure. Democrats have been running Baltimore for a half century. Now, after Homicide and The Wire have featured those horrific failures for millions of viewers, how do Democrats expect their "point out Baltimore's failures and you're racist" pushback to work?
Regardless of party, the media should constantly expose how politicians get so wealthy from their jobs which do not pay anywhere near enough to make you a millionaire if done ethically. The money sent to these districts gets divided up among friends and connections and very little is used to fix anything, and what does get used to fix things is spent very poorly. This is what local media should be focused on if they care about the people who live there.
What if Trump were to tweet that he now self-identifies as a gay black woman? The rule is that you can't argue with anyone who makes such a claim.
Wow this is so wrong. Trump insults beloved, endangered rodent population!
To be fair, Republicans often fail to fix their poorest districts too. The problem is thinking the government do much by sending money. It's like trying to feed a starving man by sending a steak through a pack of wolves to get it there.
"I felt so sorry for him as he tried to live a life like that we lived there,"
He neither wanted nor needed your pity, Dr. K. I bet he was proud to be leading a decent life in what may (or may not) be difficult circumstances. I understand what you're trying to say but the assumption you're making is emblematic of the things that keep that man from voting conservative.
Of course, that too, is an assumption.
Who's the racist?
The person who criticizes a black person?
Or the person who says you can't criticize a person because he or she is black?
Let's call it "soft glove racism."

Point taken, but imagine if they didn't send the money. Peer and political pressure to not be called a racist is enormous. Every republican in my lifetime has cowered to democrats over this issue. Yes, even Reagan. Even Trump. Though to a lesser degree.
These kind of attacks by Trump are very effective. Even if they hate Trump, his attacks still make people say "yea, what about that stuff? Where is that money? I don't see it being used around here."
(Apology if it has been already noticed. )
Likewise for the Baltimore Sun Editorial Board and the city's mayor.
'Better to have rats than to be one': Baltimore Sun editorial board lashes out at Trump for calling the city a 'disgusting, rodent-infested mess' while the mayor says the president is 'dangerous' and a 'disappointment to the world'
Poor areas don't need money. They need the kind of people who make it honestly. Sending money without getting the makers and builders there is like using $100 bills to light cigars.
Somebody needs to figure out how to smoke rats.
I wonder how many Baltimore residents agree with the President. It ain't a small number.
Anybody else notice how many good faith disagreements are happening on this thread?
Conservatives disagreeing honestly about subtle things?
GOOD!
So what should the great brilliant decent who care about patrimony talk about?
Great question.
The difference between truth and lie, and why humanity has such hardship in discerning.
Good people do lie, even the worst, if we define as Hitler or maybe Satan* lie to themselves that they never lie, even unto themselves.
Really, really good people lie to themselves too, naturally of course.
*Satan more subtley nuanced his nudgings.
**I'm not claiming if you were triggered into Satanic thoughts by my spelling "subtley" that way it is my fault. I may, well, do that to you though. Because the future changes not the past, but our expectations of what we will be calling the past.
I understand what you're trying to say but the assumption you're making is emblematic of the things that keep that man from voting conservative.
I'm not sure you do. Why did he want photos of our life when that was a safe neighborhood ?
Michaelle Obama grew up about 6 houses from that house,. Obviously much later but why is she so angry ?
"How can this guy not realize he just assigned responsibility for the mess to the black populace?"
Bullshit. He lays the blame on the electorate--squarely where it belongs. It's an existential fallacy to impute that the electorate, who is responsible for electing officials, who turn a blind eye on the quality of life of their district, that they are ALL black. Please. That is a serious jump in logic.
It may be that the representative of that district is black; but, that is beside the point. That representative, and other elected officials of the city as a whole, is doing a shitty job helping the people for whom that representative works (as Bravo Boris reminded the UK). That's not racist. That's an evaluation.
I see no difference for calling out such incompetence as a university professor evaluating a student's work as C-, D+, or an F, and being called racist, sexist, of politically incorrect as a slick way to force a grade change or kill the messenger. The electorate, us, will no longer tolerate a crappy job.
A clean sweep is coming next year. The electoral season has already begun. The old rule of thumb for the House was six months to get something done for the home district spending the rest of the term running for reelection. So, what will these Dems have to show now election season has begun?
Not a lot.
I take pride in posting without comment, but because of " here I will state comments stating I am posting this comment from 2016.

Sorry to be an annoying pedant, but question begging has nothing to do with asking a question. It’s a kind of logical fallacy where the conclusion is assumed in the premise.

This is the Achilles heal of Democrats - their corruption and theft of the money meant for their constituents. Chasing that money is not the exclusive purview of Dems, but it is the central concern and motivating principle behind their pursuit of power.
Trump has an immunity to the charge. Nobody can really argue that he ran for office to get rich, and he may well be the record holder for not profiting from it. Nobody ever lost more personal wealth in office, and he's gonna ask for four more years of the same. He may eventually make money during his time in office, but it will be from his previously owned assets gaining naturally from the economy, not from him selling influence and access. That's for otherwise unproductive pols.
Let’s put things in perspective:
Murder rate in Mexico: 27 per 100,000
Murder rate in Guatemala: 26.1 per 100,000
Murder rate in Baltimore: 55.7 per 100,000
Democrats claim that Mexico and Guatemala are so dangerous, USA should provide refugee status to people who want to leave those countries. Yet, same democrats believe it’s racist to point out that Baltimore is badly administered by democrats.
Just facts.....
“Beg the question” is a contraction of “begets the question” i.e. gives birth to.
I’ve seen cites of this use back to Tudor England.
The logical fallacy meaning in English is fairly recent I believe.
But then the word nice has also been redefined over the last few centuries, a “nice point” used mean a point of astonishingly small difference from another point as to be meaningless.

I’m aware of the phrase “begets the question,” but I have never heard that explanation before. Virtually any usage note I have ever read considers the phrase “begs the question” as meaning raises the question as incorrect.

Black people have plenty of sound sense which will come to the fore once they stop being beaten down by crime-ridden neighborhoods and patronizing leftists.
Ritmo kept making much of the fact that we, like many middle class white families, had black women as nursemaids and black men as handymen around when I was a kid. There was no discrimination by most. My father, who was poorly educated, was a bigot like Dirty Harry was a bigot. But, if anyone said anything derogatory about Louise, our nursemaid, he would take them down. She lived with us from 1941 when my sister was born until 1967 when he sold the house, Her account at the local drug store was for "Louise Kennedy." She converted to Roman Catholic in the years she lived with us and then had an apartment in the Hyde Park district until my sister arranged to get her into a Catholic nursing home where she died. She was 95. Sure it is patronizing but there used to be a tradition of caring for those who were retainers.
My grandmother believed the Republicans wanted to take away her social security. My mother believed the same thing. Before the internet, opinions were mainly shaped by newspapers and five o'clock TV news. Most people are still informed the same way.
Yes. My aunt believes Rachel Madcow.

Of Ronald Reagan Kissinger said that, just to clea r

Trumps knows about Baltimore because his son-in-law is a slumlord owner of properties (Kushnervill) in numerous code violations.
Look at the hot take from roesch/voltaire!
You want to be more explicit when you blame the Jew for the situation of blacks?
As you are a member in good standing of the Party of BDS, please expound further.
""How can this guy not realize he just assigned responsibility for the mess to the black populace?"
Yes he did, becuase it's true if you include the other people who also vote for the same type of representatives over and over. Who else can be blamed? You are either the problem yourself or you vote for the problem to continue.
These people know themselves that it's nobody else's fault, and that the people they are voting for are the reason it's not fixed, but they can't vote for anyone else, because everyone else is a "racist". They have been convinced that's the choice for generations now. Some may not even believe it, but they don't have the independence and courage to vote for something new. They have been convinced they are being taken care of by people like themselves, but it shouldn't matter who it is. What should matter is results.

That's bad of course, but it's a little unfair to compare a small urban concentration to a larger area that includes lots of rural space. The whole state of Maryland would be a more fair comparison.

Mary, he didn't say she was a 'wet nurse' for crying out loud! A nursemaid is not a wet nurse.
We call a "slumlord" anyone who owns residential properties in poor areas, but what's the alternative for those areas? Government is probably the biggest slumlord and even with relatively unlimited amounts of someone else's money, they can't stay up to code. I have owned and rented property to section 8 tenants. They quickly take your property out of code, steal the fixtures, and accuse you of racism. Those things all happened to me.
I had one who brought in numerous unapproved roommates, stole the appliances, and then sued me for discrimination. I won the case, becuase I could prove that I never even knew she was Black, and it came out that she had done same thing a half-dozen times before. I've had white tenants do the same thing. It's not racial. It's a set of values that ruins a property, an area, and even a city. The vales make it a slum. You can't just fix the window dressing.
"...still inexplicable inability to engage."
It's kind of frightening how frankly incapable of engaging in logical debate commenters like readering, wwww, r/V, et al., appear to be. Drive-by sneering is all they do – and yet they claim to be adults, and even participating in the legal system in some cases! It's like discovering that your airplane captain is a toddler.
I miss commenter KittyM some days. She was a true-believin' prog. who might as well have been grown in a vat in some Womens' Grievance Studies department somewhere, but at least she(? -- mustn't assume!) tried, for a little while, to engage.
The Althouse commenter community has posted all sorts of intellectual and analytical comments on this topic. Most are quite good. But on TV it is all: Racist!!!
The left and the media show their racism when they claim voter ID will suppress minority voters and now when they call Trump racist while ignoring the problems Trump is noticing. They think minorities are stupid.
Why Do Democrats Run All Of The Dangerous And Rodent Infested Cities?
Congressman Elijah Cummings may honestly believe that his district in West Baltimore doesn’t stink.
But it does.
I’ve been there, I’ve seen and smelled it.
Bernie Sanders called it “the third world" back in 2016.
As I stated in a previous thread, Christianity promises "the Lord helps those who help themselves.
BTW Baltimore riots covered for the looting of 270,000 doses of opioids from pharmacies, so someone knows precisely how to help themselves. Mr & Mrs Cummings are not alone in such "self help" activities They helpin themselves to lotsa stuff.
The blacks who live there who are sick of the crime and the conditions, they understand Trump.
If you think Cummings gives a shit about his own constituents - you're an idiot.
So 'rats' are a race now? I can't keep up.
It's not heroic just logical they want you to think:
Spock with just solve the insolvable to us if we don't know dying is part of it.
Like that isn't a slap in the face to those who know those who've did just that, died, in service to America.
Oh, and those that have done it too. Of course.
Just a democracy of the dead though, their tradition and all.
Most important about that though, as is now, is all that is not.
All that is not neither then nor now, thanks to God. Almighty.
Does this mean your father hired healthy black women, with children of their own and still lactating, to naturally feed at her breast instead of your mothers?
No and fuck you. Are you taking up the nasty personal stuff that was Ritmo's stock in trade.?

Deity democrats worship each other. Please, vote for your deity. They care.
No, you're not as much better off today, than you should be.
Although we all know without all those boots on our collective neck we ALL are indeed much, much better off.
But you ain't as better as the progs have limited us to, regarding your betterment, for today.
Earnestly.
Mary, he didn't say she was a 'wet nurse' for crying out loud! A nursemaid is not a wet nurse.
The scum of the earth don't care much about definitions.
Trump should go to a Baltimore.
Trump's new motto: Malleorum quorundam Democratae.
“That's bad of course, but it's a little unfair to compare a small urban concentration to a larger area that includes lots of rural space. The whole state of Maryland would be a more fair comparison.”
Why “unfair”? The point is simple - a man living in Baltimore is more than twice likely to be killed than if he lived in Guatemala or Mexico. By this standard, Baltimore is legally unsafe to live, and anyone leaving Baltimore should be considered to be a refugee.
BumbleBee asserts: As I stated in a previous thread, Christianity promises "the Lord helps those who help themselves.
Actually, it does not. It is nowhere in the Bible. The saying, 'the gods help those who help themselves' is from a fable, perhaps Aesop's.
Soft bigotry of low expectations.
I believe rural-small town Mexico may be as dangerous as urban Mexico.
Nancy says Cummings is a "steadfast" deity.
all those boots on our collective neck
Think more, deeper, more deeply, why I phrased it that way. It will come to be understood, as it has has.
I like the fist to the face approach President Trump uses as noted above, also the fact that Nance & Cummings were living it up on taxpayer money in Italy while he was pointing his red laser in their shitholes.
Rats in LA might be carrying bubonic plague.

I don't respond to trolls like that one. At some blogs, like Chicagoboyz, which is almost free from trolls, we can discuss personal stories as they relate to subjects we are discussing. Ritmo and the scum have made it impossible to do similar things and I will treat this blog as I treated the left wing blogs which were alway quick with personal attacks in the absence of valid arguments.
I suspect too, the black man who owns your father's old house was simply looking for early pictures of the structure, which can be helpful, and historical, in noting the changes inside and out.
He wasn't envious, and interested in collecting pictures of your family and past way of life there; he just wanted older pictures of his house. My 2 cents.
Second that. Curiosity.
I go to zillow sometimes to see homes for sale in neighborhoods I lived in as a kid. Interesting to see interior shots.
Poor San Francisco neighbor hood now one of the trendy places. Newer neighborhood now kind of run down and depressing
I will definitely vote for Trump. What I'm unsure of, however, is whether I will vote for him because of or in spite of his tweets. His tweets are over the top, but they seem more directed at people he disagrees with than with women or minorities.....Elijah Cummings, however, seems to restrict his negative observations strictly to white Republicans. Can anyone here identify a negate comment that Cummings has made about Fairfax, Smollett, Fox, Mosby or any of the black pols and celebs involved in scandal. Can anyone name a newsman who inquired as to his opinion of the Baltimore pols involved in scandals. Fairfax is Lt. Governor of the neighboring state. I would be interested in Cummings' opinion as to why Kavanaugh should resign and Fairfax shouldn't. The inability of Cummings to criticize any black public figure (except, course, Judge Thomas) leads me to believe that Cummings might be racist.
If in fact Baltimore is not a rat-infested shithole, then we nice white people need not feel guilty about the people who must live there. And those who live there need not complain.
At some blogs, like Chicagoboyz, which is almost free from trolls, we can discuss personal stories as they relate to subjects we are discussing. Ritmo and the scum have made it impossible to do similar things

Not just Baltimore -- from this past December, Rats are everywhere in D.C. Even on the White House lawn:
The District for years has been plagued by a growing mischief in its midst. Rats — the four-legged, bewhiskered kind — have been spotted roaming the streets, scurrying across alleys and eating their way through trash cans....
Rat sightings correlate with a number of factors, Brown said: food sources, weather and population density.
Recently, Washington has had a perfect storm of all three, Brown said, with mild winters and booming development bringing more people, and trash, into the District. ...
Petworth, Columbia Heights and Capitol Hill are among the areas with the most rodent reports, according to city data. But that does not mean other areas have been spared, Brown said.
“Every human in D.C. comes within five feet of a rat every single day,” Brown said. “They just may not always know it.”
Here are the facts about Baltimore. Almost 92% of the people arrested for murder are black, and 91% of the murder victims are black. And note, that most of the murderers are never arrested, and most of the cases of murder are never solved. This is the legacy of the political class of Baltimore, as is the failure of the city in other local government services.
Ya know the Rit been gone for several months now and you alone have mentioned him several times lately.
I mentioned that new trolls resembled him in tone. He has changed handles repeatedly but you choose what you think about him. His name also came up because the scum resembled his method of using personal information as a weapon in lieu of argument.
Re rats : Terriers at large are the remedy in part. There are trade offs however.

I have not seen Ritmo in quite a while now- measuring in months (two at least). It's possible he is posting under an unusually different moniker, but I have not seen comments that resemble his in tone or style, either.
Hollywood destroyed Baltimore in the movie version of Clancy’s “Sun of All Fears.” Also, The Last Ship, S 1, E 10 had a story arc about how the mayor of Baltimore organized and ran the city as a fascist state. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Rats in LA might be carrying bubonic plague.
Rodents across much of the West carry bubonic plague (responsible for the demise of perhaps 1/3 of Europeans [et al.] during the 14th century) — so it wouldn't be much of a surprise to find the disease endemic in Los Angeles rats, or even infecting and killing LA people.
Beyond bubonic plague, however, it's certain that there's typhus in LA (even reportedly in City Hall!), typhus which was one of the three epidemic diseases (the other two being smallpox and measles) which led to a ninety percent population decline (a population reduction by 39 million people) over less than a half century among Native American peoples stretching from Mexico to Peru.
These diseases — given half a chance — are deadly en masse. Today's Los Angeles is giving them a red carpet and golden invitation.

Baltimore is a shithole city. That's not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact for anyone who has ever been there. Perhaps PDJT can get Dick Durbin to say that PDJT called B'More a "shithole" in an off the record meeting.
Thee Wire was a pretty good show, ran 5 seasons on HBO, available free on Amazon Prime.
Some would say it provides a sanitized version of Baltimore and that the real thing is much worse. Having seen both show and city, I would agree with them.
Here's something really scary: In an interview a Baltimore resident named Michelle said "You know, Trump is right. Cummings has done nothing for us." Can't have people thinking like that. People might question why they should re-elect Cummings.
Someone might run against him. Even more terrifying, they might win! Yikes!!!
John Henry
John Henry.
Nobody gives a fuck that you're pregnant w/rt the restrictions you would put on freedom.
Those things are not congruent.
I hope your pregnancy, if it is more real than RAI, goes well and safely.
But your status as a mother, expectant or otherwise, means fuckall to me.
www: "I'm very pregnant back-aching woman worried about a C-Section."
That means you were pushing horrific and transparently false gang rape lies against a very decent man and wonderful father of 2 beautiful children while you were pregnant.
wwww: "& Baltimore is a big place with lots of different burbs and rural areas and urban areas and a great Aquarium."
That must be great comfort to the 180 families of murder victims this year.
Dear wwww,
You're as weird as snake suspenders but you seem to mean well. One should I suppose make allowances due to PG, and equally, you may be wise not to participate in the commentary when you are thus disadvantaged. Hopes for a wonderful outcome for mother and child. Please let us know when we may treat you like an equal.
wwww, I dont blame you for not wanting to confront your gang rape lies and supporting the party of infanticide.
Congratulations wwww!
And good luck. You are doing the best possible thing any human being can do.
My wife was on extended bed rest for two of ours, and as a consequence she has never let me cook again. Leftover of frustration I think. My cooking is not THAT bad.
This is not a good hobby for someone who needs to avoid stress.
On the other hand, it may be better on the whole for you to chew on us instead of chewing on your husband. You are still going to need the poor fellow.
wwww: "And I'm pro-life you idiot. What is your problem with reading?"
The party of infanticide thanks you for your shmuckitude.
It's not to late to abort.
--Planned Parenthood
wwww writes hundreds of words to fully express how she doesnt have time to post hundreds of words on Althouseblog because she is simply far too busy.
wwww: "Not good for the baby."
Official Democrat Party Position: What "baby"?
wwww clearly having a difficult time resolving the conflict between the obvious truth and her party's position.
In order to address the incongruities,
wwww decides to attack conservatives because of course she is.
"To be clear, we walked around the Inner Harbour & Little Italy, went to a great Italian meal, and then went to the best Italian dessert place. & we managed it w/out an armed guard! Imagine that."
it's nice to know that these cities work for wealthy whites and tourists.
I'd stop if I were you because you're basically proving Trump's point.
I believe wwww is pregnant in the same way I believed Royal ass Inga had babies to serve every occasion.
wwww lives to purposefully misunderstand common English phrases so Xer can take offense.
Nope.
Fux off, troll.
Nice place Althouse has here, where strange men harass a pregnant woman for unknown reasons, who is having serious complications and giving birth in a couple days.
FrankiM,
Odd that you assume everything typed on the interwebs is true.
But, then, I am an 8-armed Hindu goddess.
So you must treat me with due respect.
@wwww,
I’m so sorry that these strange men are trolling you. It’s pretty shameful, but it appears that shame isn’t in their lexicon.
I wish you the best of luck and God speed during the birth. Don’t let these ugly hateful men rob you of your joy and peace. In a couple of days your sweet baby will make these fools and their nonsensical prater disappear from your mind. Sending you a virtual hug.
Quit assuming my gender, FrankiM.
How dare Xou!
Xou are not qualified to tell Xe what I am.
I am a X-person of indeterminate Xender.
I deXerve better.
And Xi have no xidea why you invoke Xhe Almighty.

Equality. That genie left that bottle decades ago.
LOL if they truly thought Trump was a racist he wouldn't still be alive.
Put up or shut up. If you aren't willing to kill to stop racism, what are you?
Crazy that Leftist Collectivists don't respond to gender prompting.
What a crotchety ol' bunch o' bitches.
Okay, the world DOES make more sense if you start at the top and work your way down. Like with women.
It's criminal the way that black politician uses "racism" to keep his own people from reaching Trump's conclusion that it's corruption and incompetence that is hurting them. It's corrupt and incompetent leaders like that black politician, using race to deflect from arriving at actual solutions, that are their problem.
No no Cumming. You aren't going anywhere. We got a rail for you to ride out on.
Fen, Xi like the way Xou are thinking.
Xeftist XollectiXists should follow Xour lead.
I bet Trump will get a bigger share of the black vote than any Republican prez candidate in memory.
And I keep coming back to that. There really is NO excuse for the GOP not cracking off some of that 90% black support for Dems. It's like the GOP hasn't even been trying. To be fair though, the GOP treats us Deplorables just as bad as they treat blacks. It's not racism, it's establiwhatever.
Fen, Xi like the way Xou are thinking. Xeftist XollectiXists should follow Xour lead.
Are you goin on about your Latin Pig again? I thought you said he was fixeday
A fellow could get the idea that Republicans are just pretending to oppose progressive leftward ratcheting.
Fen,
I have been led to believe adding an X to words makes me immune to charges of racism and sexism. Not sure but maybe some other -isms too.
Uh-oh. Do you think FrankiM is I--a?
The proper use of a political comment thread is as a sort of debating Thunderdome.
One with rules and procedures however. Ok, more like Madison Square Garden than Thunderdome.
But its where one should expect to find a would-be Ali or Frazier.
One who assumes that when the bell is rung, you are to come out fighting, prepared to give and take mighty blows, and get sweaty and bloody.
Not a place for someone who doesn't want to fight. Or who aren't fight fans.
The main problem I see is that here are many would-be pugilists, but the only opponents they get are cowardly characters who thow debris from the cheap seats.
Weird.
It's JUST POLITICS. It's not that important.
It is politics, which is why it IS important.

A good place to start would be to ban plastic straws.
Banning straws really cleaned up San Francisco.

I must visit this strawless utopia.

These kind of attacks by Trump are very effective. Even if they hate Trump, his attacks still make people say "yea, what about that stuff? Where is that money? I don't see it being used around here."

Does it, though? The media slam the racist angle to the extreme. There are people who simply make the assumption which fits with the Trump is Racist narrative, without reading what is actually said.
It is assumed trump is racist, and this is another racist thing.
Maybe, hopefully, there are people who quietly see through all this. And hopefully there are people in a position to actually do something about the sad situations that Trump is bluntly pointing out.
It is assumed trump is racist, and this is another racist thing.
I don't think they really believe Trump is a racist. But it's the only arrow in their quiver.
National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) today filed a Complaint with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) against the Center for Global Policy Solutions (CGPS), a 501(c)(3) organization headed by Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, wife to Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD).
Mrs. Cummings is currently Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party and is a former candidate for Governor. Rep. Cummings is Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
The Complaint describes a score of apparent Internal Revenue Code violations, including prohibited private benefit and inurement of the Cummings. CGPS has received millions in grants from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and, in late 2017, was granted a million-dollar contract from the General Services Administration. The funds were purportedly provided to fight childhood obesity. The Complaint asks the IRS to investigate whether “its organizers are getting fat off the grants.”
Trumps knows about Baltimore because his son-in-law is a slumlord owner of properties (Kushnervill) in numerous code violations. R/V
So you admit Trump is correct.
Now, was that so difficult?
Kicking ass up and down the beltway.
