3 years ago, Trump announced that he was running for President, and, oh, how the media mocked him.
He was manifestly a joke. He could never become President. The question was only how much chaos and hilarity he could inject into the process before the serious candidates had the stage to themselves.

My attitude was just about exactly what you see in that video except that I believed in ignoring him (because, don't encourage him). My post noting the occasion was just a collection 5 anagrams of the name I would not say, and the only tag was "nothing," which I used in the sense of muttering an obscenity.
But over the 3 years, my attitude has changed. I'm thinking of mining my archive to write a book with the title "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Donald Trump." Seriously, that's my title. I'll self-publish on Kindle Direct if I can make that happen. Consider encouraging me. Or not.

A juxtaposition of Kim with Trump, and Kim with Xi, suggests that North Korea is scrambling to escape the Chinese orbit. And they probably want to avoid any opportunity for internal and external interests to feel justified in waging a social justice adventure a la Libya. How can anyone not like Kim?
I would preorder it but I wouldn't want to give you sense of obligation.

But where you and I absolutely agree is that the word “incompetent” absolutely does not describe Donald Trump in any way shape or form.

John Pickering and Ritmo are cut from the same cloth, intellectually; I don’t see much daylight between those two characters. Except that I have always admired Ritmo’s writing skill. Here the Colonel falls short.

I'm only seeing one entry for "Ann Althouse" on Amazon (Theology and the Soul of the Liberal State), and that's as a contributer not a primary author, so guessing this may be a first solo book.
Just a few words of advice from someone who reads a lot of "indie" books on Amazon: 1) Hire an editor (there are apparently a number of reputable services the best indie authors use) & 2) Get a professional cover done.
Editing is the really frustrating thing. I read many books where the authors have a really great story to tell and it is sabotaged by lack of editing. Even people whose day job is writing already are too close to the work to see some errors. Here's an extreme example of a good book ruined by lack of editing, but even the one I'm reading now where the author has a much better eye will stumble every now and then when she is so close to the book she automatically "sees" the word she actually left out of the sentence, or reads the actual text "Say my voice!" as "Say my name!" which is what she meant..

What Republican would you prefer to Trump? Who has a better record of economic recovery, peace in Korea, and support among traditional Dem voting blocks?
I can't think of anyone more likely to win against a D nominee than Trump. Which is sort of point of the primaries...

Trump is a billionaire with five kids and 9? grandkids and two ex-wives who apparently get along well with him and the mixture of families. A super model wife who speaks five languages ( and gets along with all the kids). He owns multiple fabulous golf courses. He has his own jet. He is 71? years old. He CHOSE to give up plying with all that to try to drag the USA back to a non-corrupt crony state. I thank God for his sacrifice. He was not my first choice at all but now- I wonder who can follow him to continue to right the ship of state.

I'm a long-time but only intermittent reader here, but I'd buy the book. It needs to be pointed out that without Trump there would have been no focus on the Leftist bias in the press, no downsizing of the regulatory state, no exposure of the FBI and DOJ corruption, and (important to those of us that are red-meat libertarians), the judgeships would be filling up with rabid statists.
Do it -- I would buy it.
I long for the days of Cruel Neutrality. This blog has gone downhill since you Trumpified. It's becoming more like everything else, which is too bad.
