Tweeted the comedian Ronald Funches, quoted in "Comedian unhappy with San Antonio shows leaves a crude message for the city" (LMT online).
I'm blogging this because: 1. I think the contrast between the insults and the headlines is funny, 2. I can't tell exactly how hostile/self-critical Funches really is and the complexity intrigues me, 3. The concept of "non cops," 4. The specificity of the numbers 3 and 6 and the issue whether details like that are essential to humor, 5. This is the second post of the day and the first post had brats and this one has tacos.

Being from Central Texas, I can see where San Antonio might be a hard town for certain comedians. I understand the Rio Grande Valley is difficult as well.

I live in NC and work in NYC, and in both places the open smoking of marijuana seems to be completely tolerated--in a way that the open smoking of tobacco is absolutely not. I didn't know people would even complain about it anymore, out of fear of appearing uncool.
Like Nixon going to China - only Althouse can bring brats and tacos together.
...and so do "its" tacos.

Supposedly when the Marx Brothers were still in vaudeville, they bombed in Nacogdoches, TX. There was a runaway mule outside, and half their audience left, thinking was a batter show. Groucho started ad-libbing insults, including "Nacogdoches is full of roaches!"
