I'm just stunned by the photograph of the doctor holding the thing.

"Man's beer belly turns out to be a 30-POUND cancerous tumor growing for 10 years - but doctors were stunned to find it hadn't spread at all" (Daily Mail).

The tumor was too inebriated to spread...

Isn't that Ben Stein holding the tumour ? Bueller ? Bueller ?

That picture is something.

I feel the same way about my belly. But I think it probably has to do with the five kids, not a tumor.

"It's not a Toomah!"

No, the doctors were not shocked to find that it had not spread. Liposarcomas do not metastasize as a rule and the doctor is even quoted as stating that in the article. Sheesh.

A tumor? Yeah, that's the ticket! It's a tumor. Now, if I just explain the rest of it.

"But, Doc, I don't drink beer"

"Maybe not, but it's still a beer belly"

Must be an Obamacare doctor.

Reminds me of that commercial where the guy's stomach suddenly opens like it has a zipper and his stomach pops out and runs away with a life of its own. I have a friend who, when she first saw that commercial, screamed in horror. She said it reminded her of her three Caesarians. Even now, whenever the commercial catches her by surprise and she doesn't have a chance to avert her eyes, she lets out a wail. I've been debating whether to show her this story. I have a sadistic sense of humor.

I don't know if there are many malpractice/horror stories from them..but, maybe another instance where the standalone cost-conscious Radiology clinics could potentially enable catching things earlier.
"Standard of care" not necessarily the best care.

Oh for the love of god, did he drink a decent amount of beer at least?

I had the doctor scan my abdomen, but all he found was a 6-pack.

I'll be here all week, folks. Try the waitress, and tip your veal.

Fat? No. I'm big boned and have cancer.

The tumor's name was Chuck.

An actual clump of cells that could only ever be a clump of cells. Easy Choice.

Liposarcomas do tend to be locally invasive.

I wish him well.

"Must be an Obamacare doctor."

If you like your tumor you can keep your tumor.

"Tales from Government Run Medical Care" .... and you thought the VA was bad!

One side of my family puts our extra weight high in the gut, but nothing like this. Hope he replaces the doctors who missed it.

Hope this guy doesn’t lose his job like Kathy Griffin.

P.S. Liposarcoma is what killed Rob Ford. Liposarcoma, plus maybe crack and ice cream.

This reminds me of an older gentleman who I frequently see at my gym- he has a large pot belly on an otherwise stick frame of a body- it is bizarre.

How many guys read this story and thought:

" There may be hope, I may not be fat; I may have cancer."
