Before work I spent an hour pulling the ubiquitous weeds in our yard and garden. A cool 71 here in South Florida. I did feel a little chill in the air, though.
I like the fun sciencey stuff when things get real cold: throwing boiling water in the air, frozen soap bubbles, square tires, frost flowers, using the fridge in the garage to keep the beer warm.

Wow you get up that early in the morning. You make the rest of us retirees look bad. Time to charge your computer battery soon.
Will take cold weather over a hurricane or flooding any time. All you have to do is turn up the heat and have a hot drink.

On the Kona side of the Big Island, 67 at 6am, going to a high of 88 by 1pm. On Boxing Day we hiked the out and back Captain Cook Monument Trail. Sign at the Trailhead says, Think Twice.” One of our hikers got sick on the hike back up. A providential rescue by an outlaw ATV saved the day.
You must be mistaken. I have it on good authority that cold and snow are things of the past. The Washington Post told me so years ago.

So glad I left town for Christmas. Alas, I see that it's still to be cold after I return tomorrow.
@campy, the degree sign is not needed with K.
I just checked the 10 day forecast, looks like the cold air mass is going to stay a bit further north than predicted just a day ago. Looks like we don't go below 14 F here in Oak Ridge- a day ago we were predicted to have single digits.
Nothing does it like 7Up.
