I see from the Youtube video that this was filmed in 1973. I was 8 years old at the time, and I remember being vaguely aware of the Beatles as a kid, but I'm finding your discussions about Yoko Ono and John Lennon interesting. I think somehow there's an entirety of cultural references that anyone my age or younger just doesn't get. Do you have to be a baby boomer to get Yoko Ono references and all their emotional heft?

I can see why losing Linda broke his heart.

Paul was cute, too cute for me.

I’m a John man.

I was almost as broken hearted as a teenage girl when Paul married Linda. I couldn't believe he threw Jane Asher over for her.

But, then again, Billy Joel woke up to Christie Brinkley one morning and thought: "I can do better".

Couldn't watch the whole thing. I just want to tell her to get the f*** out of his face.

Also, she's harmonizing, so she's mic'ed somehow. Where? Beautiful music. Annoying, OCD nightmare of a film.

This is from a 1973 TV special, "James Paul McCartney". Here's the first part on YouTube, and the interested reader should be able to find the rest of it as well.

It's a decent watch if 73-era Wings/McCartney is your thing, although there is a segment or two you will likely wish to skip.

People triggered by mullets will want to avoid this.

What could be more fascinating that watching this woman take photographs of this seemingly bored man? How about watching grass grow?

I did laugh at the Yoko video linked above. Another non-talented woman leeching off a Beatle's fame.

I saw Paul in concert a few months ago. He played for three hours and 39 (!) songs, including all the ones you'd expect and a few different ones, like "You Won't See Me", "I Wanna Be Your Man" (including a story about how he and John came to write it), and "In Spite Of All The Danger" (the Quarrymen's one and only recording). It was probably the greatest concert I've ever seen.
