I have noticed that since Ida the Cat stalked on to the scene, Ida the Commenter appears to have gone missing. Admittedly I stayed out of the giant comment thread the other day, but I have tried to skim through others, and I don't see her. I hope she is okay.
What evidence do we have that these are Independent Idas? With independent ideas?
I would not put it past Meade, once given temporary custody of Ida, to have disabled Ida's internet access on the grounds that she needed to get out more. Meade is hyper. He probably believes that everyone needs to get out more. And stop harassing his wife on her blog, so she can get out more.
I suspect the Meadehouse confederacy works so well because Meade's physical hyperactivity and Ann's mental hyperactivity are made more balanced by interacting with each other. Good for both, mentally and physically. And a good omen for another decade of blogging. Although by this time both of you hyperactives might be getting a bit low on zinc, which does tend to happen to hyperactive people late in life.

Stay right there, I'll get the hose and cool you down.
Say you didn't, Meade.
Deplorable and absolutely heartless. I bet you even find The Happy Tree Friends funny.
Oops, forgot the link...
puudy!
Quaestor, I'm much too young for Happy Tree Friends. The music alone traumatized me.
@Quaestor, moose looked Bullwinkle. Where is squirrel?
Having chased away enough birds to assure a hearty harvest of serviceberries, the cat abides.
108 today in Tucson and higher tomorrow. The hose would spew steam.
We were struggling with a temperature of 88° in the afternoon.
(I got out for my long walk in the morning when it was just getting to 80.)
How long was your long walk? Zeus and I walked 5.2. Supposedly.

Not bad, then? Should drop into the comfy low nineties during night/early morning.
Different kind of heat, though.
Ida know!

Not squirrel. Is beaver.

Idiot! Squirrel is main character! You have violated direct order from Fearless Leader. Report to salt mine.
Ida needs to meet the Furminator.
Nyet Tovarisch!
Cats know how to relax.
