The sign in the middle of the open door says the policy needs to be no dogs in the store, and I don't know if the dog could read and if the dog used to be allowed in this store, but this was a dog who dearly wanted to go in and absolutely understood that he could not break the plane of the doorway. He stood alert with his nose pressed against the invisible glass.

It must be General Kelly's Marine disciplined dog.
That's a dog which knows his/her place. Obedient, faithful, and really happy when you come back. What more could be asked of a pet.
Vampire Dog!
And he's a daywalker too! Run!

Because if it belonged to Mattis, it would have a plan to kill you.
Tucson airport in 1963 had a "No Dogs except Seeing Eye Dogs" sign.

I can't tell if this beast is a standard poodle or one of those lab or golden admixtures (labradoodle or golden doodle).
Looks like some tail blur going on there. This strongly indicates an excited fuzzbucket whose master is approaching, perhaps caring some sausages.
Reminds me of this little guy who thinks the glass door is closed, so he won't come in until someone pantomimes opening the door. He even squeezes around the edge as the invisible door is opened.
Mr. Peabody is the only dog I know who reads. My dog remains stubbornly illiterate despite my efforts to educate him. I keep telling him he'd really enjoy "Call of the Wild" but he prefers less intellectual pursuits, like barking at the neighbor's cat.
LOL fivewheels, that was great.

that dog loves his people!
Exile, I believe Snoopy can also read. And there's Brian from family guy who not only reads but writes lousy novels.
