... bombed to smithereens.

Good start. Now hit the oil wells, tanks, pipelines and trucks. Then ISIS can't earn any more money. This should have been done months ago.

Last year ISIS predicted a $200 million surplus on a $2 billion budget? Forget about fighting them. How about we put them in charge of the U.S. budget?

Good news if it's true. And the US can just print more money to replace that which was destroyed.

Great Job President Obama!!!

Since Obama's opportunistic abandonment of Iraqis, and social justice-inspired humanitarian disasters across the Middle East, North Africa, Eurasia, and beyond, it can only be that ISIS overplayed its hand, or that it was cutting into the profits of the reactive and planned parenthood industry.

One 2,000 pound bomb, and all their finances are in ruin?
Color me skeptical?

They should destroy or disable the infrastructure as they did in Serbia. However, I suppose it would be redundant to destroy the Islamic State in order to establish an Islamic State.

I am curious to know exactly how that map was derived.

I'm sure he's a better fighter pilot than our fighter pilots.

I doubt this story. How do they know?

Sounds like more Obama chest beating.

Isn't there a department of the treasury that re-assembles each smithereen until they can prove it's a unique bill and then give you a new one for it I think I saw on the Discovery Channel once. Obama will probably be apologizing to these guys for letting his military get out of hand and patch things up for his friends in ISIS. I mean he gave them half of Iraq on a silver platter.

Burned money is a gift to the government. The Fed notices that the money supply is a little low and puts out replacement money by buying back a little of the old government debt.

Show any Democrat a pile of money and the money will quickly disappear.

THAT's deflationary.

What oil wells, tanks, pipelines and trucks?

The money they have is either donated to them by our allies the Saudis, or is stolen from others.

smithereens: little morsels

latin->old french->english

les morceaux

When I was in Arabia, they had this midnight meal called kibbles and bits which was leftover meat from the day, which was hard to cut, so the Chef put the meat into a slicer, and then it kind of crumbled. So it was just served fried hot.

Anyway, with a gob of ketchup and a huge serving of French Fries it filled the belly.

Officially on the menu as Les morceaux du bœuf et pommes frites. But when the waiter came, you just went "woof! woof!" and he went off to get it.

As long as the rag-heads believe it, is all that matters.

I believe it was a top secret data mining joint project between the NSA and the Treasury department.

Why, at this point in the existence of this enemy of the United States and all other civilized nations, does ISIS have roofs, electricity, water or food, let alone money? ISIS should be communicating solely by couriers who die 99 out of 100 trips, because anything moving in their territory that does not have empty hands up in the air, walking to enemy lines to surrender unconditionally, should be destroyed on sight as an illegal combatant committing crimes against humanity.

Slight correction--insomuch as the supply of money includes all the paper money in circulation the destruction of some of that paper money is a gift (in terms of a reduction in the quantity supplied/in circulation) to the holders of cash at the time. Now, who holds large amounts of paper cash? It's those people that benefit most when cash is destroyed...so drug kingpins everywhere love those cash bonfires!

But you're correct, Treasury just prints more anyway.
