1) There are problems with equal treatment at all levels of our criminal justice system. 2) Much of the BlackLivesMatter stuff is bullshit 3) I think Jones' response was far more clever than most of the preachy BLM bullshit 4) I'm guessing that Jones is on a scholarship, and also that he is hoping to make a career as a professional athlete. As such, he should understand that he is an entertainer, and that his future livelihood will depend on the fans rooting for him.
Cardale needs to thanking everybody for Big 10 privilege in Big Ohio that presumes Big 12 lives did not matter when the neutral and professional Playoff committee moved a winning team TCU from 3rd to 6th because they were in the way.
Well, I'm sure when Jones leads the Buckeyes to another shellacking of Wisconsin in the Big 10 Championship, and then to a second National Championship, the relationship will be just fine.
Cardale Jones tweeted last fall, before the Buckeyes stomped all over Oregon, that he was in school to play football and why should he go to classes. Something like that.
I agree with Ignorance--that's a pretty clever retort for an athlete. Nevertheless, Cardale Jones is one of the most privileged people on the planet. I don't like him better for not realizing that.

It was in 2012. It just became a big deal last year when he led the Buckeyes over WI 59-0 and then to a atonal Championship. No one cares what a third string freshman QB thinks.

Recently privileged. He was close to being another lost young black man before he re-committed himself as an athlete and student.
All privileged are recently privileged. Temporarily privileged too, as far as that goes. Doesn't change the fact the Cardale Jones is one of the most privileged people on the planet.
The same remark is directed to other athletes without commentary on prejudicial undertones. I suppose all publicity is welcome publicity in the entertainment industry.
Dat be 'The relationship between A football player and A fan at Ohio State', Massa Althouse... as in singular, not plural. And here I dun thought you wuz a perfesser or somethin' high-falootin...
Wit' yo' little team (ands I uses dat term loosely) there in Wisconsin gettin' pasted 59-0 by dem same Ohio State boys last December, you uppity white Badger-types folks sho' be tryin' to paint wit' a broad brush here...
Cardale Jones is smarter than most of your commenters. Is there implicit racism in disbelieving that a 6'5" quarterback with the nickname 12 Gauge somehow is incapable of sarcasm?
He will remain privileged even with serial concussions or a blown out knee (these are references to players who left the team) because under B1G rules injured athletes maintain their scholarships. The scholarships of injured players against the team's total allowable.
Jones was projected to be the third or fourth quarterback drafted but chose to remain in school even though there is some doubt as to whether he will remain the starting quarterback. All pretty impressive for a kid that didn't have his own bed until he was 14.

Cardale Jones needs to check his Black Privilege against the facts he's so pissed off about.
I bet that tweeter feed is pulled down by the end of the day. Neither his coach or the school administration is going to put up with this
"All" doesn't seem like a hard concept to grasp.
I have mixed feelings on this:
1) There are problems with equal treatment at all levels of our criminal justice system.
2) Much of the BlackLivesMatter stuff is bullshit
3) I think Jones' response was far more clever than most of the preachy BLM bullshit

Another pampered athlete who hates the fans who pay his salary. (Yes, I know he's in college, but Ohio State pays pretty well from what I've read.)
Well, I'm sure when Jones leads the Buckeyes to another shellacking of Wisconsin in the Big 10 Championship, and then to a second National Championship, the relationship will be just fine.
#OhioState59WisconsinZero
I think he is wrong about the issue, but he is not wrong about being able to voice his opinion.
DGus1288 is wrong. He is not just a hired football employee. He does not have to check his opinions at the locker room door.
Of course, there is an outside chance there is more to it than what TPM has shown, but as a what I see now.....
Cardale Jones tweeted last fall, before the Buckeyes stomped all over Oregon, that he was in school to play football and why should he go to classes. Something like that.
This is in the same vein.
(Was it Oregon? Oregon State?)
Maybe it was before beating Florida?
Long time ago.

Curious George hates everything about Wisconsin, which explains his political choices.
He kind of backtracked by saying that he couldn't have said this better himself:
#Alllivesmatter It's a humanity problem not just a racial. We all need to stand together to stop violence between the human race.
Love that typo Curious. LOL.
I'm picturing/hearing all the football players singing out of key.
"Cardale Jones is one of the most privileged people on the planet. "

It took me a few readings to figure out what he meant to type, so sublime was the thing he did type.

I type like Jones tweets.
So the "rocket scientist" is basically saying that some lives don't matter? Who decides which ones do? Him?
Every bit as stupid as the protesting morons. I hope his team bites the dust early and often.

They are odds on favorite to repeat as National Champions.
Jones' handlers need to get a new ghost tweeter. I know Jones doesn't know what "define" means.
Not that UW has a bunch of intellectuals on their FB team.
The same remark is directed to other athletes without commentary on prejudicial undertones. I suppose all publicity is welcome publicity in the entertainment industry.
If you have to declare you matter, you likely don't.
I've heard that Cardale is not down with snakes. So, to him, snake lives wouldn't matter.
That's a great tweet.
Mr Jones seems to engaging in an existentialist screed because as everyone knows Buckeye FB players don't matter if they don't win-in Columbus.

Cardale Jones will be privileged so long as he doesn't blow out a knee or suffer serial concussions or get caught on video punching his girlfriend.

Oh, WELL, done deal, then.....why do they even bother to play the games?
Jones is almost as much fun as The Donald, but then Trump has been a starter for a longer time. Maybe, Jones will get better as the season progresses.

When you're in college just to play football, it probably is.
Even consider that he is toying with you? Perhaps he is very smart indeed.
why do they even bother to play the games?
To sell commercials.
