I second David's sentiments. The NFL is an entertainment I care not for. Cookie cutter teams with cookie cutter players with cookie cutter uniforms. Homogenized mayhem in our modern day coliseums. Danny White interviewed on radio this week said he remembers his calf injuries and that Rodgers' discomfort/mobility might be worse than the Packers are letting on.

garage's idiocy (surprise-not) stands for all the conspiracy blather which peaked after last week. Gee what good comes from one game, if you're going that route, you would carry it forward? You have plenty of chances during a game to eliminate the impact of the officials. Detroit did last week and Dallas did this week.

It may have been an "obvious reversal" and I was rooting for GB, BTW, but it was also a catch, by any common sense definition. It didn't look like justice.

I agree with tim in Vermont: that was a catch. That means the solution is a change in the rulebook. It's silly to say he didn't "catch" that ball.

It is possible the ball hit the ground but I do not believe there is incontrovertible proof that the ball ever really hit the ground; look's like DB's hand may stay underneath it. Since DB did not go out of bounds, if it was not initially a catch then it was when DB reestablished control in the end zone. I think the replay officials blew it by not focusing on whether there was incontrovertible proof that the ball hit the ground.

Bryant didn't take any "steps" that I saw. He jumped to grab the ball; his feet came down one after the other; one foot came up & down again as he twisted during his fall; and finally the ball came loose as he hit the ground. That's no catch.
(My alma mater had a similar call go against them in their bowl game loss last month.)

When I was a little older than Rogers is now, I had the same injury he has. It was amazingly slow to heal, always painful and could turn debilitating in an instant. Quite a nice job by Whitey Weirdo (my nickname for Rogers, who is a bit wacky) under the circumstances.

I married into a Packers family 35 years ago. It's like the mafia, once you're in you can never leave. There is nothing like it in the world of professional sports. And as an Iowan, I appreciate that the Packers change quarterbacks about as often as Iowa changes governors (every quarter-century or so.)

When my oldest child was an infant he had a bad case of chronc colic. I discovered that if drove while holding him on the steering wheel and drove (well before mandatory seat belt laws), the vibrations apparently did something to calm his stomach.
