Edward Snowden "doesn’t use Facebook because he hates Facebook."

"They’re one of the worst violators of privacy in history. Nobody should use Facebook."

I've read that terrorist groups use social media for command and control functions. I suppose it's better that a thousand infidels get beheaded rather than one Snowden be offended.

Well, he's certainly right about Facebook having zero privacy, but so long as you don't use it for things you want to be private you've in pretty good shape.

He was probably un-friended by everyone he knew after he had to flee the country.

John Edwards suffered the same Facebook fate.

Facebook kind of sucks. Unfortunately, my main friend list is local folks and family. For that, I periodically shut things down.
