Dogs. One morning I was sitting on the sofa drinking my coffee. Two of my dogs had joined me and there was no room for the third, Hamilton. After a minute he strolled over to the stairs and stopped, looking back at the two on the sofa. They jumped up and trotted up the stairs. Hamilton strolled back over to the sofa and stretched out next to me.
DrMaturin, I wish I had been there. Joni Mitchell's studio recording of Woodstock is #1 on my list of the greatest music recording/performances of all time.
The same summer that was Woodstock, where Joni did not appear, I saw her at the Atlantic City Pop Festival. She loathed the hippie crowd in person, lectured us for not paying rapt attention, and flounced off early.
They jumped up and trotted up the stairs. Hamilton strolled back over to the sofa and stretched out next to me.
We had a Malamute and a (hunting stock) black Lab; the Malamute wouldn't fetch, preferring to attack any dog who had the ball and then run off with it.
To get the ball back the Lab stuck his head in an empty cardboard box and pretended to be very interested in something. The Malamute ran over and chased the Lab away from the box - he ran off and got the ball.

Darn it, now I'm gonna hear Joni Mitchell in my head all day long.
Here, wipe it out with "Pictures of Lily."
Joni Mitchell: About 900 songs and four memorable melodies.
After a brief guttural gestation my thoughts are these: She's a beaut, and that is neat.
Somebody ought take the dog on a Neature Walk.
Six million YouTube hits may lie, but not in Neature Walk's case they don't.
Hey! Where is Crack?
That poodle obviously has "White Privilege"!
We found two more skinny puppies in the desert this morning...sigh.
Right now they're passed out with full bellies.

re: Hamilton, hahahaha......
Any rare clumbers?
I love that picture. It's funny.
One of the best concerts I ever saw was by Joni Mitchell. It was 1974. She was magic that night.

I saw her in concert on the Cornell campus. The audience loved her and she loved us back. No flouncing that night, she was in top form.

I accidentally posted this in the wrong thread:
Dog elected mayor in Minnesota
Looks like a great Pyrenees, a breed known for good mayoring.
Minnesota Mayor Duke won by a landslide....there are 12 voting residents in the town.

Well, Joni might be a dick, so to speak. She clearly has issues of various sorts.
But her music, her songs, her voice, and her guitar- and piano-playing are very high things.
Darn it, now I'm gonna hear Joni Mitchell in my head all day long.
Yup, me too. Only "nostril billows" imagined in a Joni Mitchell voice sets me to cackling hysterically.
Ok...all this commenting about Joni Mitchell forced me to listen to a youtube video. Ugh.
