ADDED: TalkLeft — who's no Christie fan — says:
The lawyer's letter, which was carefully and ambiguously worded, didn't prove anything, let alone that what Christie said at the news conference was false....She's looking closely at the text of the letter and the transcript of the press conference.
The letter doesn't even allege to whom the Administration Order was communicated. If the lawyer meant it was communicated to Christie, why didn't he say so? And alleging evidence exists "tying Mr. Christie to having knowledge" isn't a claim there's evidence Christie did have knowledge. Why the word play?More at the link.

Bluto (Animal House): Christie, I've thought long and hard about this. Your Delta Tau Chi name is... Flounder.
Is your ellipsis an attempted fat joke?
Cruel partiality?
Christie should have "Hillary Sucks" projected from the Goodyear blimp, er, the Jumbo-tron, er... is there any medium that will not make people think of Christie as the source?
A fatist joke from Althouse, who is in the tank for Walker.
Staying on theme here, if Christie was a lefty (and he's close), he could claim this brouhaha surfaced because he is weight challenged.
Birkel: Is your ellipsis an attempted fat joke?
I thought so. Worked for me.
ARM: A fatist joke from Althouse...
I believe the term of art is "size-ist". They're not fat people, they're "people of size", bigot.
"Is your ellipsis an attempted fat joke?"
It's incoherent to see it and call it "attempted."
You should just say it's a bad joke.
I agree!
What's wrong with bad jokes about politicians?
Don't be so sensitive.
"A fatist joke from Althouse, who is in the tank for Walker."
How can you think I'm for Walker at the presidential (i.e. anti-Christie) level. I've said time and again we've got to keep him in Mad Town.
(Dancing at Meadhouse once again.)
I'll try to make a bald-spottist joke for you sometime to prove my cruel neutrality.
Why would Christie get any credit or blame for the Super Bowl? Nixon suggested an awful play that I think the Dolphins actually ran in one Super Bowl, but it didn't cost them the game. Can the loser of today's game blame the loss on Christie?
I thought the letter was a classic of "lawyerese". "I maybe, sorta, might have access to a source of possible, perhaps, maybe evidence"
This reeks of Clinton battle space preparation. I'd love to see the money flowing into NJ right now. "Who wants money to make a vague accusation? Republican? Democrat?! Doesn't matter. Step right for money?!" No doubt Christie is a bit of an ass. But why on earth would he punish someone for a lack of support when he was going to win so handedly and has his eyes on a bigger prize? And why would he leave any fingerprints on such an action if he really did it? Nope, the simpler explanation is Clinton exploiting a minor flap to destroy a potential rival.
Every year, the New York Times plays a little closer to the malice line.
If your average Democrat politician had the integrity of Jeralyn Merritt, I might actually vote for one once in awhile.
Hi Ann - Thought you'd get a smile out of this Super Bowl related link from Bird Dog on Maggie's Farm blog....
