It's a special time of year, apparently, when sun from the afternoon sky falls onto the stairs in an adjacent hall.
I hadn't noticed that before.
There used to be a time in late June and early July when light from the setting sun came in the NW patio doors, across the family room, into a hall, across the living room and hit a bookshelf across the room.
That however stopped a couple of years ago when a distant tree grew a bit more and plugged that solar gap.
Less than two weeks after the "Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card" petition launched on the "We the People" website, the appeal has surpassed 100,000 signatures, which is the requirement needed in order to get an official response from the government.
Mediaite reports that White House spokesman Jay Carney addressed the petition at a briefing on Friday and said they would be responding to the issue fairly soon.
I'll bet the next president avoids NCAA basketball brackets as well.
Well, there is this. From Megyn Kelly's show this evening, there is a paragraph in that order, or whatever it is, that says in order to take this delay, a business may not fire or lay off anyone without a legitimate business reason and must certify this on penalty of perjury. Kelly took that to mean that the owners must certify that the lay off or firing was not due to Obamacare, but the ACA is not mentioned; just "legitimate business reasons." That, it seems to me, is wide open; the "beauty" of the reason(s) may well lie in the eyes of the beholder. More gristle for the lawyers.
AA: "Plain news is available elsewhere and it bores me."
I suppose if I voted for the guy that foisted this on us and who then basically chips away at it everyday in a hilariously transparent way to try and save his party's political bacon, I guess I would be "bored" with it too.

I found it interesting how many references to death there were in the Allen post. The very first comment was a reflection on how he'll be remembered as an artist. The second referenced his advanced age. I'll admit death came to my mind as well. When someone starts talking about life's winners and losers as if definitive judgement must be made, death laughs at the presumption.

Watching the Megyn Kelly spot was major news to me. Why should any business owner have to state the reason for a reduction in force? Under threat of perjury? By the IRS?
This country is becoming conditioned. And not for the better.
The lawsuit was filed in federal district court in Milwaukee by David Rivkin and the BakerHostetler law firm on behalf of the Wisconsin Club for Growth and its director Eric O'Keefe. The suit names four Milwaukee prosecutors and two others, including special prosecutor Francis Schmitz and Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm, who have conducted a secret grand jury-like investigation called a " John Doe " into Mr. O'Keefe, the Club for Growth and other conservative groups that are allies of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
The suit charges that prosecutors have spent four years attempting to harass and silence groups whose politics they dislike. "
Well, maybe garage got it wrong somehow.
The suit asks that the John Doe record be unsealed, and rightly so given how prosecutors appear to have leaked for their own political purposes. In April 2012, the suit notes, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Daniel Bice reported that the John Doe probe was the "biggest question hanging over" the recall election and implying that further criminal charges might be filed before the June 5 vote.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the roaches when the light comes on.
The problem with pics is on a kindle fire, the basic one. The Shirley Temple pics show up. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not seeing problems on other sites.

Quick aside: Perhaps it's time for a posting on obama's delay of the small employer mandate for another year.
Blue snow - fine
Yellow snow - not so good
@Drago
Nope. Saw it. Passed on it.
This blog is not a news feed.
Feel free to use this open thread to talk about it, if you have something to say.
I have nothing.
Plain news is available elsewhere and it bores me.
No dog show blogging?

The government has decided that the self-employed are losers who must suffer ACA while others get a pass.

I think what you meant to say is this blog is not a news feed....except for when the news feed contains stories about "teh gays!!!!".
Nothing wrong with that.
Just helps to clarify.
So "do no harm" was just words, interpreted, that easily led nitwits take to mean "don't kill life."
Other than nitwits know "harm" and "do" and "no" never happened, and what did happen would certainly solidify the viewpoint advocating kill it.
However you define it.

The government's bait and switchery is palpable.

Plain news bores me too.
In fact, I'm greatly bored by all of the flyover folks.

Have you changed the way you post pictures? My device wants to download them into a separate file rather than open them up in the post.
Do Bob Costas' eyes look awful or what? I wonder if he knows the lyrics to "I'll Never Smoke Weed With Willie Again"?

Flickr has changed recently, so I don't know what effect that might have on your browser. What are you using?
This must be the case garage has been anticipating/
