Went and saw Bobby last night at the St Augustine amphitheater under the lighthouse. Pretty good show. Buncha' tunes I've never heard but severall I'll track down on Amazon mp3. My Bob catalouge knowledge sorta' stops at Blood on the Tracks. He did three classics - Tangled Up in Blue, Watchtower and for an encore Ballad of a Thin Man. I guess if all he sang were memories he'd rather drive a truck. Completely unintelligible and I know his voice. Perfect weather, delicious blackberry Kush and I got to yell "Bob" several times. Fun night.
I asked the captain what his name was And how come he didn’t drive a truck He said his name was Columbus I just said, “Good luck”
Dylan refers to "driving" in 16 songs, but nearly all of the usages are in the "driving me insane" category. But when he does drive (in songs) he chooses Chevrolet, specifically Cadillac.
Ricky Nelson should have stuck to trucks. Stayed away from planes.
As for Dylan and planes, he doesn't like them at all — death planes, a plane ride so bumpy he almost cried, and selling tickets to a plane crash. Even when used metaphorically — only once — it reminded us of death: Time is a jet plane, it moves too fast....

You are a deep file Professor Althouse.
A soccer ref in Utah, punched in the head by a teen aged player he made a call against, has died.
Paging the state of Florida!
Just removed a woodtick that was crawling on the back of my neck. First one this year.
