The the whole 2012 campaign is one the American people can be proud of, with it's depth, honesty and careful consideration of fact, history, resumes, and overall seriousness. A true example of the possibilities in a democracy.
I see garbage pail likes a failing economy, embassies stormed by foreign powers, American hostages taken, high gas prices, people unemployed, and talks of "the government not working anymore" used to precede a wholesale destruction of checks and balances...

"Carter was a good President. We need more Jimmeh's, not less."
I think he was and is one of the least wise men on the planet. A certified nincompoop.
I voted for the guy, but I was probably high. Worst vote of my life, or at least a tie with Schwarzenegger. Carter didn't lie to me though - he was up front about his stupidity, so maybe that was all my fault or the drugs. I'm feeling much better now. I have other people to vote for fools for me - I just wish they didn't cost so much.
I mean look at my picture. That's the kind of guy that votes for Carter. I had my business plan written on that piece of bread, and the munchies ate my homework.
Jimmy Carter shot his sister-in-law's cat in 1990 and sent her this note: "Lamentably, I killed your cat while trying just to sting it. It was crouched, as usual, under one of our bird feeders & I fired from some distance with bird shot. It may ease your grief somewhat to know that the cat was buried properly with a prayer & that I'll be glad to get you another of your choice."
You know... it occurs to me that those words together like that... "President Barack Obama expressed gratitude" might be very rare text... thinking about that guy that died last week... the guy that was Kennedy's shadow... excuse me a minute I have to look up his name... thanks... David Powers, turns out he had his own Kennedy memorabilia... it was put up for auction... and while trying to think of a tie in back to Obama... I realise that that day in Dallas and Obama... could never be put together w/o raising eyebrows and hackles... dont forget the hackles.
Lefties who would leak the million missing documents that would shed light on Barack's sordid past would of course have a sheet of glass slide off a truck and decapitate them.
I only know one other person who thinks Carter was a good POTUS. Oddly enough, he's a deranged liberal who's convinced he's always right about everything even when confronted by evidence to the contrary.
Anyone who'll go after a pup with a fireplace poker or a chunk of wood is a miserable, evil human being who should be hung by his thumbs in the hot sun.
To say nothing of his dictator covering business, or his anti-semitism.
"Lamentably, I killed your cat while trying just to sting it. It was crouched, as usual, under one of our bird feeders & I fired from some distance with bird shot. It may ease your grief somewhat to know that the cat was buried properly with a prayer & that I'll be glad to get you another of your choice."
I didn't occur to our dumb presidnet that bird feeders attract cats too? Nope. Just kill the cat.
"Robert Cook said... "Not only was Jimmy Cater a terrible President, second only to Obama, he is a terrible human being. A vile despicable pathetic human being."
And you know this...how?
What are some examples of his terrible terribleness as a human being?"
Carter was a segregationist until he no longer could be politically. He also an anti-semetic, and just a general asshole.
I do think it's funny that this fucktard spends much of his time trying to change his legacy. Too late Jimmy. You are a loser.
Carter was dim. Barack is corrupt. I'd actually take Carter back. They both hate Israel, so it's a wash in that area. In any case, I doubt Jimmy was ever capable of this level of corruption:
"A health insurance company headed by an old friend from President Obama's days as a community organizer got a $340 million federal loan to establish Obamacare co-ops in New York, New Jersey and Oregon despite having a chronic record of consumer and regulatory complaints.
The New York-based Freelancers Insurance Company has been rated the "worst" insurer for two straight years by state regulators, and data compiled by a national insurance association show an extremely high rate of consumer complaints."
"Anyone who'll go after a pup with a fireplace poker or a chunk of wood is a miserable, evil human being who should be hung by his thumbs in the hot sun.
"To say nothing of his dictator covering business, or his anti-semitism."
Can you elaborate on any of the above?
(As for "dictator covering," hahahahah! That's what all our Presidents do! Many dictators and their military leaders, primarily those from South America, have been trained by our own U.S. Army School of the Americas.)
"As Laughlin McDonald, director of the ACLU’s Voting Project, relates in his book A Voting Rights Odyssey: Black Enfranchisement in Georgia, Carter’s board tried to stop the construction of a new “Elementary Negro School” in 1956. Local white citizens had complained that the school would be “too close” to a white school. As a result, “the children, both colored and white, would have to travel the same streets and roads in order to reach their respective schools.” The prospect of black and white children commingling on the streets on their way to school was apparently so horrible to Carter that he requested that the state school board stop construction of the black school until a new site could be found. The state board turned down Carter’s request because of “the staggering cost.” Carter and the rest of the Sumter County School Board then reassured parents at a meeting on October 5, 1956, that the board “would do everything in its power to minimize simultaneous traffic between white and colored students in route to and from school.”
Jimmy Carter describing his opposition to government programs “to inject black families into a white neighborhood just to create some sort of integration”:
"I have nothing against a community that is made up of people who are Polish, or who are Czechoslovakians, or who are French Canadians or who are blacks trying to maintain the ethnic purity of their neighborhoods. This is a natural inclination."
" from the man who campaigned for governor of Georgia as a self-proclaimed “redneck”; whose campaign distributed a photo of gubernatorial opponent Carl Sanders being embraced by black basketball players to a Ku Klux Klan rally; who pledged to invite George Wallace to Georgia; [2] and who said he was “proud” to have Lester Maddox as his lieutenant governor in 1970, calling him “the essence of the Democratic Party.” As Maddox’s successor, Carter turned criminals loose as part of “a competition over who could reduce his prison population the most.” [3]"
Your documentation reveals that Carter, 20 years before he ran for President, was a segregationist. It reveals that he was a man of his time and place, as most of us are, for good and bad.
Do we know whether he still harbored racist or segregationist beliefs two decades later? Do we know that he did not change and grow along with the nation during those years during which the Civil Rights movement was born and became active? Do we know that during the period in which many in the nation were awakened to the injustice and cruelty of institutionalized racism and exclusion that Carter, unlike many of his countrymen, did not mature or evolve in this views?
Do we assume, expect and require that all who will one day become President have been paragons of human saintliness their whole lives through, their personal characters never having been blemished by the stain of human failings, prejudices, short-sightedness, selfishness and spite? Do we childishly assume our Presidents are merely the two-dimensional cutouts of children's books?
The assertions about Carter's character were presented as if these were aspects of his character today (and, by extension, while he was President). The documentation shows that Carter was a segregationist nearly 60 years ago.
Do we have any evidence to show he retained those beliefs 20 years later (nearly 40 years ago) when he was President?
Do we have any evidence to show he retains those beliefs today?
I'm certainly willing to fairly consider any information provided that would support that contention. But I'm not willing to assume without evidence that he is exactly the same man today (or was the same man in the 70s) as he was in the 50s.
I just read a story about how Carter keeps wishing out loud he was closer to Obama. It's the second time, apparently, that this wish has been expressed publicly. The pitiful neediness of this. Oh, Great Obama, be my fwend. Here, have some propaganda, I made it myself with my own grandkid! He was President of the United States, fergawdsake. Have some dignity. Don't go begging and groveling. Obama doesn't like you. Deal with it.
Leftists (so-called liberals) like to affect puzzlement and sanctimonious lofty nose-in-the-air-ed-ness when others find their blithe “big tent” acceptance of unrepentant communists and radical anarchists (as e.g. Zombie has well documented) to be a less-than-meritous tolerance.

Love it. The president whom the GOP thought Obama would be compared to with only a one term presidency helps Obama win reelection.
The funny part is that was all forgotten as the Romster cleaned Choom's clock in the debates.
But, yeah, anybody who remembers Ol' Bucketmouth knows he was no saint, so this is no surprise to anybody who's been paying attention over the years.

So......."Like father, like son" strikes again.
Enjoy the decline people! Carter's back, with powa!
Carter was a good President. We need more Jimmeh's, not less
One could say the "best revenge" was aided by the video.
So... in a way... it was like the grandson helping to get Bin Laden.
This guy should get a medal.
And don't forget Sandy... that was huge.

@garage, you're senile.
I think the Japanese folk saying applies:
Kaeru no ko, kaeru. (The son of a frog, a frog.)
Well, at least Jimmy Carter legalized home brewing. I think the percentage of people who take advantage of that are less than 47% though.
Expressed gratitude?! Obama owes him a plummy useless high paying job.
Yep, garage, and I always buy vintage British bikes because I like to figure out all the ways they throw oil.
Not only was Jimmy Cater a terrible President, second only to Obama, he is a terrible human being. A vile despicable pathetic human being,.

That was a joke, right?
Please tell me you really weren't serious.

So did Obama also congratulate Melowese Richardson for voting for him six times to?

Yes, and the 21% interest was good, too. He certainly led the way on Iran.
It'll be interesting to see what happens to the "misery index" after another Carter works his magic.
Jesus, garage mahal, not even most lefties think Carter was a good president!
You carry the "Go, Team, Go!" idea to a hilarious level.

ROFL!!! He was a good president like how your mom handles saddles.
Nobody thinks Carter was a good president. People would think even worse of him if Reagan didn't clean up his mess so spectacularly.
Makes you proud to be an American, no?

No.. David Powers did not die last week... my mistake.
I meant to say the auction was last week.
What a shining example of character and integrity our President is.

When compared with the Presidents who came after him, Carter was the least bad of the bunch.
We've had a pretty miserable run of swine in office these past 30 years.
@Robert Cook -- Personally I thought Reagan, GHWB, and Clinton a pretty good run. The last 12 years have been pretty brutal, however.
And what is particularly bad about the last 12 years is how bad Congress has been at the same time.
When compared with the Presidents who came after him, Carter was the least bad of the bunch.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I only know one other person who thinks Carter was a good POTUS. Oddly enough, he's a deranged liberal who's convinced he's always right about everything even when confronted by evidence to the contrary.

I'd actually take Carter back. They both hate Israel, so it's a wash in that area. In any case, I doubt Jimmy was ever capable of this level of corruption:
Obama ally got $340 million to set up health care co-ops
"A health insurance company headed by an old friend from President Obama's days as a community organizer got a $340 million federal loan to establish Obamacare co-ops in New York, New Jersey and Oregon despite having a chronic record of consumer and regulatory complaints.

Well, again, just saying so doesn't prove it. Where's the documentation to show all this?
How can one aspire to anything more?
One can aspire to whatever one wants, though reality often intervenes.
