If you crashed your $376,000 Lamborghini Aventador into a snowy ditch and walked away from it...

... you'd Instagram it. You know you would! (Compare me, in 2005, when I wrecked my car.)

So what's the annual insurance rate on those cars? The MPG doesn't scare me but the Ins rate does.

What can the government do to make sure that high-powered sports cars like these do not end up in the wrong hands?

I'd winder whether I can get the cool one in alizarin crimson.

PS Bump on the noggin, huh? It does explain a couple of things.

I don't like the idea of sitting in the back of a police car where everyone can see me and imagine I've been arrested and wonder what crime I must have committed. "Hey, look! It's Professor Althouse! She's been arrested!"

I'll have to tell you about the time The Blonde was busted as an undercover hooker.

folks think that enough money wil allow you to violate the laws of physics, just as you do the laws of good taste.

guess what? 700hp will accelerate you in a straight line, an object, in motion tends to stay in motion, 1.5 tons of car moving at 80mph is a lot of inertia. sorry ass AWD with racing tires, isn't going to alter that vector at all....

Every time I hear about a Lamborghini, it's crashing. What's wrong with those things?

This rapper is promoting a near-fatal slide into extreme individualism... or something.

How come I don't remember that accident? I have been lurking here for at least te years now? And only six comments? Were we all hungover from GW's 2nd inauguration?

1. They're Italian.
2. It's generally stupid, tacky, testosterone-addled assholes who buy and drive the expensive, outrageously powerful pieces of shit.

Tyga is a third tier rapper, but still raking in the cash. Is this a great country or what?

I remember an incident with a red light one time... I saw the red light, as I was approaching, and I didn't have the proper reaction, I dont remember driving thru it exactly however, it was as if I was in a momentary daze... I then asked my passenger in the front, who also noticed it, did I just drive thru a red light?

I was weird... we also were in the middle of a conversation just before I nonchalantly kept on driving past the red light.

Tyga?

No, wait.

Tyga?

Oh, I get it.

Tyga's like saying tiger except it's saying it in a different way.

That's so kule.

Are there two Lambo Fields now?

I remember that accident and the search for a replacement.

Re: Tyga I was waivering on stupid before, no longer

In another "day and age" that kind of thing would have been kept quiet... it would have been considered a source of embarrassment.

What's the difference between a porcupine & a Lamborghini?

With a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside.

How much was she asking for?

From the article:
"Given that the Aventador's frame is made from carbon fiber, it probably survived mostly unscathed"

What!?

Lambos come with air bag...
I'm saying that to explain...

This is a tough crowd.

I really don't understand why such spending isn't embarrassing. I could afford one of those, but my only vehicle is a 3 year old pick up truck that I bought used. I have much better ways to spend my money. That's enough money to get a friend or relative started in their own business like a restaurant or something. Buying a car with it is just a poor return. Rent one, get it out of your system and move on.

That said, I do envy easy money like a rapper makes. If you don't work hard for it, it's easy to just blow it on anything you want. I don't need anything, but I still want to win the lottery. Then I could blow money without guilt, or more importantly the fear of having to make it again the hard way.

I just read your old accident post. Yeah, pretty much how I felt on Thursday night but yours was way worse. I wrote about deer hitting my car here on Thursday night. I am taking my car to the shop tomorrow. It is no Lamborghini. Not much damage and no, there was no dead deer on the road. I checked.

Now that's classic, Chip.

Other way around -- You hear about the crash because it is Lamborghini.

The first thing you need to know when you purchase an Italian sports car.....oh hell any Italian car, is that they are manufactured to employ Italian mechanics.
The Italian mechanics just let you use their car every once in awhile.
