If getting the Hispanic vote means advocating for open borders and unfettered immigration then just become a Democrat.

YoungHegelian বলেছেন...

Because what the US needs is more elites who consider politics to be a family business.

It always amazed me how comfortable Americans are with family dynasties, like the Kennedys, or worse, Hillary Clinton.

And the damn liberals are worse than the conservatives! I mean, it's all so damn feudal!

I refrain from passing judgment until Jorge actually runs for office and takes up positions and proposes policy.

In Texas, he'll do fine with his name.

Even fucking Hawai'i voted more conservative than they did in 2008. How does that happen?

Kevin বলেছেন...

If you want a Hispanic with a non-Hispanic name, can I recommend: George Zimmerman.

How 'bout for Sec. of Defense? No wait, Attorney General.

If we're going to pointlessly suck up to minorities, let's do it right.

Shouting Thomas বলেছেন...

The Republicans needs to win 80% of the white vote.

To do this:

1. Hard nosed opposition to illegal immigration.
2. More limited H1B visa immigration
3. Fight to end racial and sexual quotas.

This would work, but the Republican Party elite don't much like the middle and lower class whites who would vote for them.

The Republican Party elite like to go to Georgetown cocktail parties. This would get them uninvited. (And, yes, it really is as simple as that.)

Target directly the middle and lower class white vote and serve it as diligently as Democrats serve their black voting bloc.

This is, of course, one of those things that is too sensible to be done.

Robert Zaleski বলেছেন...

Unfortunately, I think the next non-democratic candidate needs to not be White. Too many people are racist against White politicians I think :)

Ruth Anne Adams বলেছেন...

Oh for the love of God, can we stop with the family political dynasties?

I'm looking at you Kennedys, Cuomos, Clintons, AND Bushes.

All of you. Just stop.

Everyone knows dynasties are for NASCAR.

machine বলেছেন...

"And the damn liberals are worse than the conservatives!"

...in a post about the Bushes...right after Governor Romney's son, Governor Romney, loses a national election...

Yea, good point.

Kevin বলেছেন...

Robert, they already thought of that when they pre-emptively labeled all non-White conservatives race traitors. Always one step ahead, they are.

Jesse Jackson, Jr.

You turn, machine.

machine বলেছেন...

What office did Jackson Sr. hold?

YoungHegelian বলেছেন...

@machine,

Don't give me that shit!

The Repubs have no dynasty that they have positively deified like liberals did with the Kennedys. The Dems ran Hilary as a presidential candidate when she had no more experience than being spouse-in-chief.

I never said Repubs were perfect, did I? But with the Repub dynasties like the Bushes & Romneys, no one, but no one, spins magical tales of Camelot in the sagebrush.

PS: Al Gore is also from a dynastic political family.

Palladian বলেছেন...

I blame John Quincy Adams.

What office did Jackson Sr. hold?

You're right, he's just an extremely private citizen.

don't forget the Browns of Mexifornia.

Cornelius McGillicuddy, Sr. great grandboy went belly up in FL.

On a related note the greatest director of all time, Sean Aloysius Kilmartin O'Feeney. I digress.

I wish...don't care for Jr either...someone should have run Darwin against him.

No, we've learned our lesson, I must say.

I hear we're going for another dip in the "Recession".

Great ROI, there.

And where were you hiding 10/5 - 11/5 when the Romster was winning?

You can tell us.

Just because you were reduced to cleaning Joe's Depends, that's not shameful.

Risible, maybe.

tiger বলেছেন...

No more Bushs, for at least a generation.

The LAST thing this nation needs is 'moderate' Republican version of the Kennedys.

MadisonMan বলেছেন...

Sounds like a RINO to me. He isn't declaring that All Abortions Should Be Banned.

I wonder what his pseudonym as in Afghanistan. Did he get to choose it, or was it assigned?

None, but Althouse backed his bid for POTUS once.

George P. Bush is exactly what Republican Party, Inc. needs; the goal of Republican Party, Inc. is to maintain political power so that the career bureaucrats and pollsters and so on can continue working. Republican Party Inc. will adopt any political position that keeps them in power....staying in power is all that matters, not any particular principle.

However, white America does not need a George P. Bush. A George P. Bush does nothing for white America; he continues on the path to white dispossession, minority status, and the persecution and destruction of liberty and living standards that comes with being a white minority in a brown country. (Ask the white South Africans how it's worked out for them.)

coketown বলেছেন...

Yeah, great idea. A well-spoken, young minority who seems so fresh and capital-a Awesome!

What could go wrong?

Known Unknown বলেছেন...

I'm not sure he's authentically Hispanic, voting against his self-interest and all.

Hagar বলেছেন...

I saw this guy at a Bush family photo-op thing, must have been for the 2004 election, and thought, "Oh-oh, here is another one!"

"The little brown one" looked to be a natural born politician, even smoother than his father, and may indeed turn out to be what the country needs at some point - or maybe not.

Qui vivra, verra!

Drago বলেছেন...

machine: "What office did Jackson Sr. hold?"

Ethics and morality counselor to Bill Clinton after Clinton's monica "situation" became too "true" to lie about.

And also after it was made public that Jesse Jackson had a "love child" with a woman who was provided $3000/month from Jackson's organizations and who was provided a tidy little job worth $100,000+ per annum from another Jackson org.

Drago বলেছেন...

YH: "PS: Al Gore is also from a dynastic political family."

Get ready for the Hillary! 2016 campaign....

and coming to you soon, the Chelsea Clinton campaign for whatever.

None of which will garner a second look, much less a sneering one, from our resident (and suddenly anti-political dynasty) libs.

LOL

Drago বলেছেন...

Hagar: ""The little brown one" looked to be a natural born politician, even smoother than his father, and may indeed turn out to be what the country needs at some point - or maybe not."

"The little brown one" reference made me laugh.

That is a very common phrase used by many latinos (primarily cubanos).

This is because, obviously, the range of skin tones in the cuban community, particularly within families, is quite broad.

I've heard it many times and I never heard it used in a negative way. It's a term of endearment amongst family members.
