He *should* be fired.

It might not have been a big deal in concrete terms, but in psychological ones it's sort of huge. It plays to the entire culture of public service and what people have a right to expect.

And if he's caught abusing his authority, the Governor shouldn't say, "no consequences for you," which would come with the implicit addition, "or for anyone else working for the state who wants to use state resources to take care of theirs first."; 11/9/12, 12:14 AM
