Killer of three in Jennifer Hudson's family gets life

Which is exactly what he took.

He's another ugly, angry young man too. I'm beginning to see a correlation.

Hurray! At least the SCOTUS protected his young mind from exposure to Christian prayer and Christian coercion while at school.

You can't have it all.

Or even at graduation. Doesn't matter, according to the courts, if the church is the only place in town big enough to hold the graduation...can't do it. Seperation clause.

So sad for Ms. Hudson. Everything was going great for her, and tragedy strikes. I'd wager she'd give her success up if it meant having her family back. While I am against the death penalty, I am for no possibility of parole, and this sentence was fair.

Wow, those words must have had a real effect on a guy with a heart of an arctic night, and a soul as empty as space.

That judge really told THAT guy.

I wonder how the guy might have felt instead if the judge had said "And now you will be executed in the fortnight." That might have had a bit more meaning.

One hopes Hizzonner gives the same speech to the next group of thugs convicted of playing the Knockout Game.

(if, in fact, they convict people for playing the Knockout game in the Windy City)

Your soul is an appalling dump heap, overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable, mangled up in ... tangled up knooooooooooooooooooooots.

Poetry - and fairly banal poetry at that - seems out-of-place in a sentencing hearing.

And Mr. Hexadecimal Hash... damnit, don't make me laugh!

More rock, less talk, yer honor. Just sentence the guy to forever. That will speak volumes.
