"Democrats also believe that if they can keep Walker’s margin to low single-digits heading into the vote next Tuesday they can win it on the ground..."

"... thanks to their superior organizational efforts — much of which is being spearheaded by labor unions. As evidence of their organizational edge, Democrats note that early voting is running higher than expected — a good sign for them, they believe."'

AND: This, from Politico: "The Wisconsin governor is running under the radar in an attempt to freeze the race where it stands and limit the chances of a momentum-shifting mistake." Blah blah blah and then you get to this:
Walker’s approach stands in contrast to Barrett, the Milwaukee mayor who held open press campaign events at three weekend festivals and marched in a parade Monday. He accused Walker of trying to avoid scrutiny at a crucial juncture of a race entering its final week.

“There’s no question he’s trying to play out the clock and run out the clock,” Barrett said during a campaign stop at a festival in West Allis, a suburb 15 minutes outside of Milwaukee.
Is there any question that Politico is taking dictation from its preferred candidate?
“There are just so many questions that Gov. Walker refuses to answer. He refuses to answer questions about who’s paying his legal defense fees for his criminal defense lawyers. He refuses to answer questions on where he goes on fundraising trips when he should’ve been in Madison working on legislation. He refuses to answer questions, such as, ‘Did he sign recall petitions against Sen. [Russ] Feingold and Sen. [Herb] Kohl?’ The more questions he refuses to answer, the more people are asking themselves, why is he asking us to trust him?
Speaking of unanswered questions and moving on to questions of actual, central importance in the recall, Tom Barrett has never offered a plan for how he would deal with Wisconsin's budget.

Unless their "superior organizational efforts" involve locking Republicans in their homes that day, they are going to lose big time.

Good to know. In that case, there should be no arguement that this will definitely be a strong indication of how things will go for Barry in November.

Hey. They could find more dead bodies to vote. Give them credit.

I wonder if "Breitbart is here" to document some of the Get Out The Vote efforts. Just saying...

The union slugs will have to win it on the ground because Little Zero is keeping all the DNC money for himself.

Hey, I'm not there on the ground, but it sure looks me like their "superior organizational efforts" include being an increasingly annoying, hard to avoid, giant pain in the ass.

I mean, the People's Brat Fest? Srsly?

Is that conducive to winning hearts and minds?

The talking heads who favor democrats have already started saying that just forcing the recall is a big win for them.

Enjoy the pending Romney landslide, folks. One of the very real reasons that Obama did as well as he did in 08 was that everyone knew he would win and most people like to vote for the winner, it's human nature. Once it's clear that Romney will win (as I am predicting it will be by mid-October) those wishy-washy voters will switch to Romney and it will be a bloodbath for the lefties.

Wacky Debbie, DNC chair, has stated it is. After she stated it wasn't. Honestly, if we can't thwack a party that would put her in charge, all hope is lost.

"Serious organizational efforts" means "Mayors of Milwaukee and Madison keeping city offices open evenings and weekends for two weeks before June 5th so organizers can bus in loads of elderly and incompetent voters and help them vote for Tom Barrett."

In other words, attempting to rig the outcome.

"Serious organizational efforts" means "We got a liberal judge to quash Voter ID until after the recall election so anyone we help to register need not show proof of their identity."

There are dozens of buses and vans parked in a lot on N. 25th Street in Milwaukee. All of them are being used by an OFA clone organization to round up and bring Barrett voters to City Hall.

Considering Debbie Wasserman Test is now bleating that the Walker recall is "strictly local politics," one might well assume that the DNC is screaming "BAIL OUT!" to all of its apparatchiks and that Barrett is in for a Hells Angels-grade stomping.

From my vantage point (live in Stoughton, work in Madison), I just don't see it. There aren't nearly as many "Recall Walker" signs as there were Kloppenburg signs last Spring, and when you get out of Dane County, they are nearly non-existent. It's actually jarring how heavily pro-Walker the signs are along Highway 18 until you literally cross into Dane County around Cambridge.
There have been about 119k absentee ballots cast or requested so far, and they only have until Friday to get them. In 2010, there were about 205k absentee ballots cast. So I don't see the big disparity. And my sense is that the Walker voters will crawl through rusty, salted barbed wire while slathered in lighter fuid in the face of flame throwers to get to vote.
The dems are releasing internal polls that show "tightening". The side that releases internals is almost always trying to stem a tide.
But there are always Chicago voters, since voter ID is racist or something.

If the Dems offer hot, juicy Brats for Votes on election day, then they can overwhelm Walker. All you can eat for all you can vote is also part of the offer.

It's Wisconsin, Jake.

Walker is in bunker mode, hiding and lying to reporters as to his whereabouts. Koch Bros astroturf group is feeding & busing people from Illinois to come up to Wisconsin. People are being paid $100 to "rent" out their yard space for Walker signage. Walker camp taking nothing for granted ;-)

Jackson - Walker is simply responding to the fact that there are death threats from YOUR side. Shame on you for descending to mindless violence when you can't win at the ballot box. Shame, shame!!!!

Of note is POTUS remarks yesterday that the VietNam Vets got a raw deal on their return to the U.S. Shame on those who spit and dishonored themselves attacking GI's for not going AWOL, burning draft cards, and desertion.

The veteran vote is going strong for Walker and Romney as Obama distances himself from their anti-military activities. I thoroughly enjoy the visual of democrats eating their own. Anyone guess how the average GI, veteran or active serving, is going to vote? It was difficult to keep my emotions in check as I watched the heckler disgrace himself and his cause by shouting down McCain during his Memorial Day speech.

Being a lefty/progressive or associating with same most certainly is a clinical psychosis with no known cure. These people believe only in chaos and anarchy perverting the constitution in the process. A pox on them all...!

About 15 seconds after the polls close. graffiti, broken windows, cars lit on fire. The usually spoiled child antics of the left.

Tom Barrett has never offered a plan for how he would deal with Wisconsin's budget.

And he never explained why the recall shifted from labor PSU bennies to electing Barrett.

As for Politico, we've known that they are in the tank for Dems for some time now. I think I de-listed them last winter.

Politico readers must get very bored.

Repeated half insinuations that the Evil One Walker is arrogant are pretty weak arguments to make as if it is news again every day.

politico, for some reason, has made the calculation that the NY Times and Boston Globe, Time, Newsweek and NBC have made; to cater to the political left. It is turning out for them as it is turning out for the others. They have lost more than half the population as customers for their web site. I quit reading them about a year ago. It would be interesting to watch their traffic. I suspect the numbers are ugly.

Spread the word that those buses & vans will be taking Republicans to the polls:

Five Milwaukee Democrats Accused of Slashing Republican Vehicles' Tires

Felony vandalism charges have been filed against five Milwaukee men who are alleged to have slashed the tires of Republican "get out the vote" vans on election eve last November. One man charged is the son of Milwaukee's newly elected congresswoman Gwen Moore. Chuck Quirmbach of Wisconsin Public Radio reports.

I don't know if this is true or not, but if it is what's wrong with not making waves immediately preceding an election if your internal polling tells you your lead is substantial? It's a perfectly legitimate strategy.

Famous observation of human conduct: It's nearly midnight at the high stakes Poker game and the winners are yawning and looking around for their coats while the losers are hollering DEAL!

Barrett is going to lose and Scott Walker has stripped him of his rights to a last minute slander/gaffe kerfufle.

Barrett hollers that wants points awarded on a stalling call. But first he has to get off his back.

No doubt when Walker wins (assuming the Dems can't manufacture enough fraud to get their man over the top), the Dems will scream Voter Fraud! Throw the results out and hold another one! Using their own fradulent ballots as proof.

Then they'll hold ANOTHER election and try to manufacture more faster.

Repeat until victory! Remember, it's not over until we win!
