We were both laughing at this one last evening. That freshman student does pretty good work, and his Obama mash-ups are improving.
I'm no psychologist, but I'd say it's the fact that he's never been told that he's not that bright, not that good looking, and not much of a singer.
He's been showered with praise for his whole life. I don't consider what such a person like that then exhibits to be confidence, as much as arrogance.
What makes Obama so confident?
It's win-win because he hit the jackpot - the Mega Millions of politics.
His supporters, by and large, being mentally incompetent is helpful.

He is confident because he is surrounded by people who adore him and being bad at math, he doesn't realize that they are not enough to get him re-elected.
