I would think the final exam for a law student would be eating puppies. Not cuddling with them.

Nice dog gm. Wish I could have one. My cat E is pretty awesome though. Plays fetch even.

OMG adorable!

Garage! Your puppy is cuter than any of the puppies in the lame-law student video.

Those law students need to build up some thicker skins. Why doesn't the school bring in some Iguanas for the students to cuddle?

Law school is all mental activity all of the time. That is not natural life at all.

But dogs reconnect people to the natural world we live in on earth.

I love all dogs, and they seem to know that by a natural sensitivity which most people repress.

A torts exam question.

Surgeons at Brigham and Women’s Hospital were working yesterday to salvage and reconstruct what they could of a Bridgewater grandmother’s face after she was savagely mauled by her family’s 50-pound pit bull.

Normanda Torres, 71, was attacked about 11 a.m. at her family’s Bridgewater home and was flown to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Doctors called down to Bridgewater to ask that the dog be euthanized immediately, so that parts of Torres’ nose and lips could be removed from his stomach, Bridgewater police said. The recovered facial parts were transported by police cruiser to the hospital...

Torres had just moved in with her daughter three days ago, police said. She was standing at the kitchen sink at 11 a.m., when Rex, the family’s year-old tan-colored pit bull, lunged, giving her a “severe bite to the nose and mouth region,” police said.

I thought law students were taught to throw puppies to the wolves.

This interferes with the whole order of the cosmos.

Not bad, Garage. Not bad, at all.

I thought law students were taught to crush cuddly puppies with rusty steamrollers. When did this change happen? I never go the memo!

Old dogs know everything.

I have noticed, though, that puppies are babe magnets.

When I worked in the inner city of KC there were many roaming "ghetto dogs." When they strayed into the Vietnamese neighborhood down by the river they never were seen again. Good eatn'! To each their own.

One dog ago, I'd walk her across campus. Students flocked to her. (Current dog is too timid to enjoy that kind of interaction).

It's really fun to see dog-starved college students interacting with a playful dog.

Gsrage, that puppy is adorable! What huuuuuge puppy feet!

I take a couple of my dogs down to Camp Randall before home football games; they love the atmosphere and the students love playing with them.

If I were a guy in my twenties, I would definitely walk a dog down there. The number of attractive young women who come up to my dogs is quite impressive.

In my son's sophomore year at MSU, they sponsored an "Adopt A Puppy" even right before finals. Students had several hours of (supervised) puppy play as they prepared for finals.

My son talked about it for WEEKS - both before and after. He also talked about being able to understand his material a little better after the puppy play.

I think that being able to relax for a period of time during times of extreme stress is beneficial - both stress management as well as learning.

Ben Franklin was wrong. Dogs are how we can tell God loves us, and wants us to be happy.

True story, but not for the faint of heart coming up. When my Dad, a Federal Game Warden, was out patrolling one time, he and his partner came across a beagle pup someone had dropped in the woods.

They got out of their jeep and he came gamboling up to my Dad. Dad reached down and started scratching the pup behind its ears.

"You want this beagle pup Leo?" my Dad asked. His partner, Leo, as a big rabbit hunter and had several beagles.

"Nah Jerry" Leo replied, "I got more'n I need now".

The pup by this time had started licking my dads boots. "You sure?" he iterated.

"Yeah, I'd love to but I just can't afford 'im".

"Okay" Dad said straightening up. He took a step back, pulled his revolver, and shot it.

"Goddammit! If I'da knowed you was gonna do that, I'da taken the dog"Leo shouted! "Well, I asked you" was my dads reply.

Not a pretty story but true. The part a lot of people miss is that dad was put in that position by other people. Leo as offered the dog. There were no humane shelters at that time. Stray dogs were euthanized by shooting them for economic reasons.

The main bastard though was off camera. The guy who didn't want to be bothered by raising the pup originally, and wasn't man, or humane enough to kill it himself. Instead he takes it miles into the woods, where it would starve, or die of exposure, before winding up coyote food.

If you have pets, get them spayed or neutered. Become a responsible owner. I get really peeved at people who abuse their pets.

Why the "lameness" tag?
