Ironclad said...: "Wicked" the play had a much more satisfying ending than the book, and the consequences of Elphaba's action's (however well meaning) resonated much more truly (as well as neatly tying up most of origins of other OZ characters.

I have read all three of the books and I hate to say it, but it is really becoming a slog.
