Mmm. Yes. Consider this one:
And this one — from the Tea Party opposition:
All of these people seemed pretty friendly to me. The cheesehead guy joked that he hoped I got his good side. And the man with the "Open Season" sign let me know that somebody had ribbed him about misspelling "RINO," and I laughed and said "Oh, yes, you know they're putting all those misspelled Tea Party signs up on Flickr." Wouldn't it be funny if the smart alecks mocking misspelling made their own mistakes? Then Meade pointed out that some people would be critical because of the crosshairs drawn on the animals' faces and the idea of "open season." They had a long talk and the idea seemed to be that, yeah, the humor was a little edgy and the crosshairs were not on a human being's face. Hmmm.
And how about the edgy humor in "Cut off my reproductive rights and I'll cut off yours." You know what that means. Reminds me of a poster I saw and sketched long ago:
It's all in good fun. Or is it?

All the fun of decocting John Wayne Bobbit anxiety.
Of course it's open season on RINOs and Dems this November.
I realize Althouse doesn't really think that's a promise of assassinations. It's amusing that people will complain about that while ignoring SEIU beating the hell out of people.
Or the burning down of Rick Perry's home. Or the attempt to blow up the GOP convention. Or the democrat Fred Phelps.
I'm sure there are kooks on both sides, but it seems one side has it worse.
I'm not offended by the 'I'll cut off your penis if you ban abortion' promise. That's in line with 'punch back twice as hard'. It's ugly and unpersuasive, but not a big deal.
I don't consider threats against cartoon animals to be "expressions of violence." And, anyone who wants to be taken seriously as an adult shouldn't either.
Madison looks pretty today.
The buildings are sparkling.
I am sure I will hate my year there though.
Are you ready for me and the rare clumbers Althouse?
Then there is the famous statement from Chicago Dems about bringing a gun to a knife fight, rhetorically speaking I'm sure!
The Lib/Prog's think it is clever and cute when they say it but condemn the rest of us to eternal damnation for doing the same thing.
They are noteworthy for their desperation, hypocrisy and paranoia. It really is amusing!
This is like the 24 hour tea party blog and I love it!

You're overreacting.
The counter-protester didn't mean she'll cut off your dinger. She meant that under ObamaCare, free male sterilization for all, no co-pay!
The doggy looked pretty violent.
"Anti-tax Tea Partiers out in force protesting lowest tax rates in 60 yrs"
keep your laws off her body. obama's laws? not so much.
maybe I'm just missing it, but how is rino misspelled?

But soon, after the Bush tax cuts sunset, you'll see us all out in force, dancing in the streets.
Could you find one brownie please?
Was
No bag limit
a double-entendre?
RINO is RINO, not rhino.
I think for those who need to be informed, (his critics who don't read Althouse, most likely) it is a play on words.
Unless one is Robert Reich and huffs and rolls the R.
Nice thought.
I'll give him a pass on the way he spelled RINO because he was referring to the acronym RINO meaning Republican in name only. That seems fine to me.
gee, thanks Pete. That's sooooo nice of you. Even though he spelled RINO correctly and all.

LOL. Obama has raised taxes by over 600 billion dollars, and guess what, he's spending more than any president ever has.... he's increasing the deficit so much more than any other president has.
And by spending so much money, he is increasing taxes... there's no way around the truth. Sure, he's lying to us about it, and forcing the future to raise taxes to pay today's deficit, but Obama's policies = massive taxation to anyone who is honest and reasonable.
Amazing that a lot of people don't realize how Obama has actually raised taxes a lot already, and how his policies force even higher taxation in the future.

They're all white people.
Anita: lol
In the English language, some people add an S to nouns when they refer to more than one of that noun. This insane error is known as "plural nouns".
The strange apostrophe isn't a spelling error, so pedants pointing it out as a spelling error have more serious problems with English than the sign maker.
Let's not forget all the Lefty wet dreams about assassinating Dubya. Those were perfectly serious. But, of course, that was OK because invading Iraq was EEEEvil.
That garbage about the lowest tax rates averages in the people who don't pay income tax (you know, the ones who get the welfare payments now called credits) with the ones that do. Take a look at the 53% who do pay the taxes and the picture changes.
As usual, The Zero lies.
So Meade distracts 'em and you shoot 'em?
wv: feash - how my Hoosier in-laws pronounce "fish".
The pinking shears from the Althouse militant days form a V for vagina.
Isn't it actually unproductive rights she defending?

Ouch. And the dangling shears handles form O's for...
tea bags?
The point about RINO (which I thought was clear in the post) is that people who were criticizing his spelling were themselves making a mistake.
The apostrophe s is often seen in acronyms, which is what RINO is. I don't think that's a mistake, really. I think I'd have written RINOs.
The contortions required to find fault with these people is pretty impressive.

Hey, wait a minute!!!
