A stranger saw me taking a picture of Meade and offered to take our picture. I don't know who he was but he was pretty nice and enthusiastic about our kissing. This is one of several kiss pictures. It's the one Meade liked best.
There are several more pictures of Meade? More kissing pictures? Hmm, I feel only one picture being posted is a little skimpy. I need more vicarious happiness or something, because these little glimpses of Althouse + Meade-life make me grin and grin and grin. Happy Turkey Day!
Let's not forget a special thanks to all who serve. Who put their lives on the line. Who sacrifice so that we may sleep peacefully in our beds and enjoy friends and family today.

My sentiments, exactly, especially those in harm's way. Stay safe!!!
I'm thankful that Ann hosts a blog that allows all of us to comment so often and so vociferously without deleting our political views, which cannot be uttered about even the top 4 political blogs. Thank you Ann for that.
I'm thankful that Ann and Meade found and so obviously enjoy each other.
I am thankful for the men and women of our armed forces, particularly for our son who is a Marine who cannot be with us this Thanksgiving except in spirit. God bless them all.
I am thankful for my wonderful, outrageous, always forgiving family.
And, also near the top of my list, I am again thankful for the connection that the blog "Althouse" provides in a word that too often doesn't make sense. Happy Thanksgiving to all the regulars here, from the mighty erudite pallladian to the winsome freeman hunt and all of the wonderful ones ( even those I spar with regularly) who's names I sadly cannot remember after several Thanksgiving mimosa's.
I want to have a beer summit with both of you 'cause I don't think I have ever disagreed with Meade, and I really would like to probe your melon about your vote in that last election. This is a delightful story and I am thankful to have watched it unfold.
It is said that romantic love is the confluence of the affectional and the sensual. This picture is an illustration of that. Under your feet are parallel lines that will never meet. But you break the symnetry of those lines with a moment of clumsy, passing embrace. It is good to see that you're getting in a little white water rafting before the currents sweep you out to sea.

Your love story has given everyone who has visited here much joy.
The best of everything to you both.
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks to you both for sharing your story. It brings a smile to this household.
P.S. Thanksgiving kisses from "Baci" and "Rex."
All of it?!
The Swine Flu? The Great Recession? The guy in striped shorts and a plaid shirt?
All of it?
How Zen!
Two bookends with stories to tell, laughs to share, and love that delights.
Best wishes to the two of you, also.
You two always look so happy!
Happy Thanksgiving from some other Althouses!
Hey, who took that photo? Nice photo! I hope there are many many more holidays with you two happy together.
Best wishes to Althouse + Meade on your first Thanksgiving of wedded bliss.

Those pathetic guys at Roissy straining at game. Meade stands there as a lesson to all of 'em.
"You love me, baby? Naturally. It's my due."
"[S]everal kiss pictures."
I wanna die with you [ ] on the streets tonight/ in an everlasting kiss.

Thank you, Professor
This blog obviously takes a lot of work and persistence, and keeps many of us from standing on street corners with unintelligible placards.
wv-- driatats: one more atat than a duotat.
Down with cynicism. Up with love.
It's the one Meade liked best
That's because he's knocked you back on your heels.
I'm thankful that Althouse let such a cool guy into her life and that he now has a shot at sensibly influencing her!
Have a mellow Thanksgiving!
wv: bunbect.
I don't know, but it sounds like a hell of a cool word. Perhaps more ideas on that one to follow.
And a Happy Thanksgiving to you newlyweds.
Awwwww, how delightful. Sweet but not the kind of sweet that makes your teeth hurt.
Thank you for sharing your joy with us and extending your good wishes. I wish all the best for you and Meade as you continue your life together.
Happy Thanksgiving to all

wv: hypecore: Pretty good description of people like Obama.
Thank you both for a fascinating year. It's been my pleasure to be here.
May we all at Althouse have many blessings in the coming year.
Awww. I'm dumbstruck by your happiness. It beats the odds.
Many, many more.
Chase -- please tell your son "Thank you" from our family. We admire him tremendously.
(And we're Army!)
God bless you guys.
There are bloggers and there is Althouse. Thank you.
God bless you both. Glad you could find happiness together.
And much love back from all of us. Your ongoing creation of this place is greatly appreciated by all.
Except maybe by those caught in the vortex.
Wishing you both all the best.
Happy Thanksgiving, Althouse and Meade! Yours is one of the best stories in all of blogdom
And all the best to my fellow commenters; may this be a day of joy for all.
wv: glitoro; a really sparkly bull?
We're thankful for a year of good weather here in New Orleans.
Chase, I'm thankful all my family's current and past service members are home this year. I wish your son the best.
And I'm thankful for the oyster dressing and boudin currently heating up for my plate of evening leftovers. Yum.
Althouse and Meade - it's good to share in your happiness.
Happy Thanksgiving, Meade and Ann!
Thank you everyone. Life is beautiful.
Thankful, I'll bet you are Althouse.
Um, looking carefully at that photo, I just have to say, Meade, be careful going through airport security.
"Hello Cleveland!"
wv-"mingle"
wv-"batickis" = I'm batickis, no I'm batickis
That smile on Meade's face is worth a thousand words!
(It looks like 'I'm such a lucky bastard! - how did I get here?!')
Happy Thanksgiving!

This is a delightful story and I am thankful to have watched it unfold.
Tourists!
Your feet are bigger than Meadmans.
You have a lot to be thankful for.
I'm thankful for my family and my friends. I really thankful that I'm able to support my family in such tough times.

Larry, you are an inspiration to Carl Deans everywhere!
I didn't have time to read the thread when I commented before because I was out of town.
Thanks, Chase!
Hope you had a delightful first Thanksgiving together. We watched A Man for All Seasons, and now I know who Meade reminds me of: Paul Scofield!
