I love this kind of image -- the reflection broken by objects on the surface of the water.

Usually no pond scum in November, yet that sure looks like it. I'm surprised there are no basking turtles.
Sarah Palin was in Wisconsin last Friday, but I don't recall a blog post about it. Yet what could have been more bloggable? But events seem to have eclipsed her.
I'm thinking walleye or bass.
I think it was duckweed.

Ducks must have good internal calendars. It is coming on time for them to gather together the food for a winter's flight south until spring. Like vbspurs did until she came back home instinctively.

Has anyone ever eaten alligator, and does it really taste like chicken?

Penny, Here in Florida lots of restaurants serve alligator. Sort of a cross between chicken and seafood. Hey, it's eat or be eaten.
