"Summing up Sotomayor"

Overwhelmingly qualified and overwhelmingly confirmed.

Period.

She pretended to not be a judicial activist for three days in order to be confirmed. Anyone can keep it together for three days, I should assume, especially if they are willing to lie their face off, and or not answer questions fully in spite of their oath to do so. Her heart was not revealed in this process, her depths were not sounded. And yet even in the Wall St. Journal article her lies were called a triumph for justice. All she did was mouth what she knew that people wanted to hear. Any communist who had read Saul Alinsky would realize what she has done, and how any political goals justify the means for such people. Now there'll be a lifetime of judicial activism ahead, and everything she said over the last week remembered about as long as last week's newspapers. Very fishy, but there's nothing to be done except hope she at least gets her hair trimmed up.

Kirby - "Anyone can keep it together for three days, I should assume, especially if they are willing to lie their face off, and or not answer questions fully in spite of their oath to do so."

Unless you're referring to Roberts, this is just the standard right wing drivel.

She's highly qualified, far from liberal and has proven herself time and time again to be a fair and honest prosecutor, defense attorney and judge.

Quit whining, you little baby.

Soon it will be only Jeremy who will opine here.

Except for updates on the status of Titus's feces.

You must be so proud dear lady.

Hey, the right kind of racism won, what's not to be happy about?

I see a problem with Judge Sotomayor's nomination that would put Democrats on the spot. But conservative Republicans cannot bring themselves to raise the issue.

Sotomayor's constant hands on the desk appeared more in need of a sowing machine than a lawyer briefs ;)

Jeremy whines that his candidate takes heat. Pass Jeremy the talcum powder. He's getting a heat rash.

Help! The Viper is coming, the Viper is coming...Oh nevermind, She is only a boring highly experenced Judge with a great work ethic and proven integrity who is easy to condemn for having a good heart and an Hispanic appearance. Among Republicans, only Geo. Bush I could love such a monster.

She is a fat ugly racist bitch. Just what the democrats ordered.

Summing up SS: stupidity, gross, massive stupidity.

I'm not talking about her, but her opposition. The GOP leadership completely tanked, and others - including her supposed opponents online - weren't around to pick up the slack in any way. They definitely deserve what they're going to get and then some. The only problem is I don't and neither do those who might actually have been willing to do some work to oppose her but weren't able to in some way.

It isn't too late, it would just require a herculean effort: by reducing her popularity low enough she might withdraw. Here's a basic plan to do that. Don't click the link unless you are willing to actually do something.

Every time the NCLR cheers having one of their supporters on the highest court, thank all the many leaders who failed to oppose her when they had the chance.
