Dualit, Duvel, Saifun.

Good things, all.

Only two glasses, is Althouse trying to cut back on her drinking? (Of course she did have at least three earlier today.)

Looks like a great night on the horizon.

Looks like someone was so eager for beer that they bent the handle of the bottle opener!

"Only two glasses..."

She's only got two hands.

But, eventually it'll be time for wedding presents. Maybe she'd like one of those dual beer can (or beer bottles, for those special days where cans won't due, e.g. Christmas) holder hats w/ built-in straws that direct the brew into the pie hole. Then she could quad-drink.

I hope she's registered at the dollar store.

Beer is good eats

OK, here's my counterscape tonight.

OMG! (As my 10-year-old daughter would say, spelling out the letters)

That is my all time, number one favorite beer -- absolutely the smoothest-drinking, tastiest Belgian ale, ever -- it evokes, for me, extremely romantic evenings in Rotterdam (of all places), sitting at an outdoor table at a bar, watching the sky turn the most incredible indigo-blue. After a long day of dealing with cantankerous software and navigating strange streets and an even stranger subway system, that ale always made me feel like I was at home.

Foams like a bastard, though -- requires a very careful pour. Plus, it has a lot more alcohol than your typical American pilsner, so it can really sneak up on you.

I hope you enjoyed it as much I always have.

I have about 7 more weeks to go.

Dos Equis. Stay thirsty, my friends.

Dos Equis is an excellent beer. Definitely my favorite of the domestically available Mexican beers.

How anyone drinks that Corona shit is a mystery to me.

Beer and...toast?

Is that what the Dualit is?

Ann Althouse ayon kay ...

"Dualit, Duvel, Saifun. Good things, all."

But Palladian, don't you want to comment on the can opener (which was used as a bottle opener).

(We didn't make toast, but we did toast.)

Those are the wrong glasses for Duvel. Duvel should be drunk from tulip glasses.

Bissage ayon kay ...

Sadly, I too must confess that I now use a bottle opener.

But only because I broke all my teeth and they just don’t make car bumpers the way they used to.

Devil beer

Nice ad.

Is that how you are left feeling in the morning?

Moose ayon kay ...

Ah, the changes love brings.

Previously, when we saw Ann's drinkies, they were usually, nearly always - wine. Now, with Meade, she's drinking beer near all the time!

Just don't start laughing at all his jokes - tell him when they aren't funny...

Good beer. It would have set off that pizza much better than the water IMHO.

Dos Equis is OK, Yazoo brewery here in Nashville makes a nice version called Dos Perros.

I think the Belgians are a bit precious with their every beer gets its own glass thing.

I have been drinking Old Speckled Hen lately, and can recommend that one highly.

Too early to start, but time passes.

A-doy, as my (12-YO)daughter might say: The earlier drinks were San Pellegrino--fancy Italian soda-water (sometimes with juice). Perfect with pizza.

Eric ayon kay ...

Duvel...oof. Isn't that stuff like 8 or 9% alcohol?

Ann Althouse ayon kay ...

"at least three earlier today"

You're not very good at reading bottle caps!

What are those spiky things coming out of the can/bottle opener handles? They look dangerous and painful.
