See? I finally did a real blog post.
I hope you liked that. Models freak out. I know I've been starving you of normal blog posts these last few days. (Or do you like the change-of-pace photo essays?) And I sincerely hope you enjoyed that breakfast of rioting models.

The photo stories are more fun. The politics are too depressing these days. There is a crisis made up to distract fools every few days. We watched Under the Tuscan Sun on Oxygen cable channel last night. The movie was great as we remembered. But the repeated commercials for the channel's upcoming Slut-o-rama series was depressing beyond words. The message sent to all is that the single Purpose of Life for all young girls is to become a total whore in public in order to recieve applause and celebrity. We used to think the Christian tradition of rules suppressing public displays of "immorality" were too harsh, but now we can see why those rules were always needed. If a group's culture no longer protects its women and children, then that culture has given up on life.
It's been funny to watch the commenters sitting around at a loss like Penelope's suitors . . . feeling jilted . . .
But you're in the right place.
Two or three short phrases connected to a few drab pictures. Only Althouse would think that constitutes a "photo essay."
I guess if you wrote a few full sentecens, it would be a book!
The (b)link and run style of Instapundit and Andrew Sullivan hardly makes for "real" blog posts.
I myself prefer the politically oriented posts, and the comments that they generate.
Unfortunately, while the rest of the country appears to be following Atlas Shrugged, the Althouse comment section seems to be imitating Lord of the Flies. I find myself not even bothering with the comments sections most of the time, and not even reading the posts as often.
You are watching the wrong movie Amba. This is not the Odyssey, it is Will and Grace.
Only with Titus, Trooper.
But -- hey, you're right -- Titus hasn't been around. Maybe that's who she's visiting.

Can't be, the black dog pictured ain't no 'rare clumber'.
Actually, I am trying to blog the news these days, but nothing is interesting me. I have a standard of bloggability and nothing has been up to it lately. The models riot and the monkeys flossing their teeth with human hair is really all I had.
I think Lileks' anti-Amitai Etzioni screed is pretty bloggable, 30 year old pics of a politician seems kind of bloggable, too. Also, watermelons?
OK, just what does "Blogable" mean, imply, hint at? Is that a measure of titilating subject matter? Or is that a deeply disturbing event, Like Jaws made swimming at the beach into? Or is that a statement of a pathos seen in life today? Maybe "Blogger takes picture of dog" is not news, but "dog takes picture of Blogger" is news. Than again it all depends on the dog. First we need a picture of Ann smiling at a dog who is taking her picture. That would make news. We can call the dog "Puppy Palin", and we can call the Professor "The only Blue Eyed Blogger under 5'7". Is this getting Bloggable, or even warm yet?
