As you know, I live in a Catholic city. Lent means lots of wonderful seafood specials (besides the spiritual importance, I mean. I'm not intending to downplay that.) It also means St. Joseph's and St. Patrick's days are coming up. I have to make my way to a St. Joseph's altar, preferably in someone's home. The newspaper lists them, when the family will have an open house night.
reader - I was amused by Pogo's comment; sort of a play on the definition of Puritanism: the annoyed feeling that somewhere, someone is having fun. I think he, and I, were referring to the fundies who are always on the lookout for offense.
