Hmmm those two erect things jutting at the Statue of Liberty are ominously like penises threatening the symbol of freedoms. Could it be a diabolical plan to subliminally make us think that we as a nation are about to be f**ked? Just think of the strategy and time it took to position these just in the right angle.
Here I am in the middle of the Village - a bit to the right in the first photo - and I generally have no idea what the sunset looks like unless I go to althouse.blogspot.com. Heh. Some related casual photos here, though...
Thanks, Simon. Unfortunately, I'm starting to feel like I need a 10.5mm fisheye. I suppose that should be the least of my problems, considering how amazing the Nikon D3 has turned out to be...

Discovered America the ever unfolding

It's 6 p.m. Do you know where your statue is?

Sorry but I've been looking at too many things too closely all day today. I need a break. Besides, why would they do that?
Call me nebulously dangerous or dangerously nebulous, but I think those clouds are nothing more than cumulus congestus incompetus.
Wait a minute. Wait just a dog gone minute.

are suspiciously
(how shall I say this?)
not white.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

I'm happy that the Sun is setting almost on top of Lady Liberty again. Spring is imminent.
Nicely done; you are getting good at this Althouse.
Cordially,
Uncle J

Nice pics, especially the last one.
Sadly, the comment thread is full of bad jokes badly rendered.
Really bad.
Kim, your pic here is appealing too. :)
Hey Steverino, when you post some jokes you can critize. Other wise blow it out your ass.Respectfully, your Pal, Trooper York.
