I photographed the Apple Store on 5th Avenue and the sculpture garden at the Museum of Modern Art on the same day, and
AND: I've added a third photo (in the middle) because I didn't like the way the 2 photos leaned in the same direction. I needed to restore stability to the post. Speaking of distortions, you may be asking: Where are all the fisheye photographs? Hang on. I've got a few. You'll see.

Did they copy the Olympic Swimming Venue?
Love your new picture pretty lady

Nice photo, and truly evocative of Apple--a ridiculously overpriced facade with no substance inside.

It's never good to have too many leaning too far left. I come here for balance.

Ah, good to know I was correct the other day when I dismissed you as a coarse moron.
Is the Apple Store truly a big empty glass box, or is that at opitcal illusion?
Either way, it looks very interesting.
Blue is the color of sweet anticipation
As the dark night draws near,
It's the color of our tingling expectation
Laced with the thrill of fear.
The second photograph; the reflection that makes the corner of the glass structure appear to be made of stone is really cool.
Your photos have inspired me to buy more lenses for my own camera, and to pay closer attention on my walks. Thank you for that.
Chip, thanks, but I took that with my little Sony that's the size of a pack of cards.
DBQ: Apple is to be praised for putting the commercial space entirely underground beneath an amusing, beautiful, unshowy glass cube in this busy plaza. No signage but the logo. Just one more way in which Apple earns the love we devotees have maintained for decades.

Yeah, nothing showy about a six-story glass cube on Fifth Avenue. At least Apple's suckers...er, I mean customers...can see where their money went.

Jeez---chill, Palladian. Why don't you play yourself a nice soothing game of Tetris? Oh, that's right, it's probably "not yet available for the Mac." Well, how about some Pong, then?
Mac people are too busy, you know, doing things, to waste our time playing games!
At least, I think that's the current line. I have to check my talking points.
I processed that as some kind of forced perspective shot.
You mean to say that there really is a six-story glass box with a floating apple logo?
That's astounding.
And as for the Apple bashing, Smilin' Jack, whence cometh? The OS underlying the fancy GUI is as solid as anything out there.
